  1. The "Teammate You'd Least Like to Date Your Sister" piece was filmed in 2017 TL;DR In 2017, Stefon Diggs allegedly got two women pregnant at the same time. One had their child (his daughter). The other said he forced her to abort the pregnancy, though it's not entirely clear what "force" was used. I thought the piece was pretty obviously a setup, but there's a reason why Diggs was chosen as the target of the setup, and that's the reason. "It's how he treats everybody"
  2. But it isn't that the man doesn't like the limelight. He obviously loves it, when it features him and suits his purposes - when he's promoting a fashion brand, for example, as he was setting up to do during during the GQ interview and there have been others - Sports Illustrated Kids, a mag that promoted Black fashion, etc. What he did was dodge the press when there might have been tough questions, like "why was your performance in this playoff game so shabby?" or "about that throw from Josh that looked as though it went through your hands..." This doesn't have to do with friendliness, it has to do with accountability and responsibility, especially as a Captain. I'm sure there are plenty times after a bad game when Josh would prefer to just run home and not meet with the press, but he does it, because he knows as the QB he's the face of the franchise and the leader of the team, and he has both accountability and responsibility.
  3. That's................kinda strange, actually I woulda thought, at least one STer Or, not, apparently
  4. Good guesses
  5. I mean, there was talk about Diggs being a Minnesota Malcontent when he was traded here; no one had anything bad to say about Diggs his first two seasons in Buffalo, either. It was all about his leadership in the WR room and on the field blah blah blah. He was respected as a vocal leader. I would expect Diggs to behave in Texas, or at least try to. But I think he will be sharing targets more than he thinks he will at present.
  6. Pretty much admits he whined like a B word when he stopped getting targeted as much as he needed to be targeted to be putting up yards and that he cares more about his specific stats than he cares about the team winning If the article mentioned that the Bills were 5-5 under Dorsey and 6-1 with a 3-pt overtime loss under Brady, I didn't see it If the article mentioned that the Bills were 5-5 when Diggs had 102 targets (10 per game) and 970 yds (9.7 per game) but 6-1 when Diggs had 58 targets (8.2 per game) and 213 yds (30 per game), I didn't see it If the article mentioned that Diggs has perennially disappeared in the playoffs for the Bills, I didn't see that either Basically, knob slobbering article on Diggs (which I guess you'd expect from GQ) with the "could if I would but I won't bEcaUsE i'M A pRofESioNAl" crack about “There's some things that happened in Minnesota that I never shared, that I won't share,” he says. “Because I'm a professional. I believe in professionalism. You don't gotta talk bad about your ex-girlfriend to your new girlfriend.” implying there are untold stories about Allen he could dish if he chose. Or, TL;DR as you say, ***** Diggs I think that Diggs will be out-stat'd by Nico Collins, and by the final 3rd of the season he'll be salty.
  7. / mic End Thread! There have been other photos from Training Camp of JA holding puppies and he does the same thing (turns it over) so this is obviously a habit
  8. On the one hand, teams usually give 1st round picks every chance to succeed, so when a team gives up on a 1st rounder after only 2 seasons, it's generally not a good prognosis for that player. On the other hand, Lewis suffered a totally ugly compound leg fracture on special teams early in his rookie season - after only a few games. That was it for his rookie year, and it probably hampered him his 2nd year since he wouldn't have been able to work out as much in the off season. The Vikes re-signed 34 yr old Harrison Smith, who played all 17 games last season and they've got another year of Camryn Bynum Hard to tell if there's an attitude problem or he just wasn't "getting it", or what was going on. Here's his draft profile if anyone is curious https://www.nfl.com/prospects/lewis-cine/32004349-4e66-8075-a009-a60b6f3b4838
  9. Maybe I'm missing something, but this just seems like rehashing old news: Aaron Rodgers gave the NYJ a "wish list" of players to acquire, he got injured in the 1st game, he's missed mandatory minicamp and defends it as the minicamp designation being "arbitrary" Was there actually new news or information in that article? Rodgers is a legit 1st ballot HOF'er who, if he's recuperated and can stay healthy, makes the Jets an instant contender. "Vitamin W" cures just about everything.
  10. I don't disagree that the hit rate at WR (2/5) has not been great on the day 3 picks. I'm just pointing out it's not necessarily better at other positions - yeah, we got a starting CB in the 6th in Christan Benford, a starting nickel in the 4th in Taron Johnson. But what's your take on Dane Jackson, Damar Hamlin, Jacquan Johnson, and Siran Neal? Most people here seemed to think Johnson and Neal had no business starting on D and made the team as STers, which is true. Consensus also seemed to be that Jackson needed an upgrade (which, Elam was supposed to be) and so did Hamlin. And Rachad Wildgoose, Alex Austin, and Daequan Hardy didn't make the team. So let's call Jackson and Hamlin positives (they did both start) and Neal and Jacquan Johnson negatives, fair? So that would be 4 out of 8 hit rate, 50% I guess that's better than 40%, but at the 8 DB vs 5 WR numbers, it's not a significant difference
  11. Case Keenum is on season ending IR. Desmond Ridder and CJ Beathard I grant are available. I don't know about Ridder, but Beathard got most of his playing time with SF, and let's just say I'm not sure he's an upgrade over Trubisky
  12. Hmmm. Shavers is an UDFA. Shorter is a late 5th round pick. Shakir is a late 5th round pick. Gabe Davis is a late 4th round pick. Hodgins is a late 6th round pick. Davis played for us 4 years and signed a low #1/high #2 contract in FA. Shakir seems to be someone we're counting on this year. That's at least 40% hit rate, if you don't count Hodgins having played decently for the Giants (just got cut though) I personally think the weak point is that Beane hasn't invested enough 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks in WR - not that he's especially poor at ID'ing Day 3 WR talent in the draft. I think if you look at Beane's overall draft record it's not breaking 40% at CB or LB or any other position drafted on day 3, and actually, 40% is pretty good
  13. It surprised Sal Capaccio as well - he had them keeping 6 DE, but he had Jonathan over Toohill
  14. I'm sorry, I meant "confident that Samuel and MVS will be ready to play week 1" If you're going on the point that the Bills haven't given Allen enough weapons at WR, I don't disagree, but do you really see Shavers and Hamler as difference makers there?
  15. Wow, I thought one of Shavers or Hamler would make it. They must be very confident in MVS and Samuel.
  16. I dunno. I think the Bengals have a talent advantage on defense - of course, depending on who is actually on the field for the Bills Perhaps I'm mistaken. And I don't know that much about their safeties, I just think they have a really good DL and CB
  17. There's always the "he toughed his way through the 2nd half but he really has a neck injury, and it won't be a quick one to recover from" a la Shane Buechele
  18. That'd be nice... I mean, "what a shame that fine young man might have a promising career start derailed by this"
  19. Deion Jones surprises me. Guess he's this year's Christian Kirsey
  20. He only counts if/when he comes back. There's no special "IR with designation to return" when a player goes on IR any more, it's just a total of how many players can be brought back from IR over the season. But if any player is on IR and brought back, he counts, including one who was IR'd at the beginning of the season. Note there is a rule change this year, two players may be carried on IR without having to be on the 53 man roster, and still be eligible to come back That could occur, certainly Wait wat? Last I heard McDermott was "optimistic" Samuel would be ready at the start of the season?
  21. There was an article about McDermott going back through HS and one of his friends from way back commented that McDermott could really dance!
  22. Kyron Brown. UDFA who started with the Jets in 2019, has been on PS with the Cowboys and Titans. 3rd year.
  23. If they're injured, they can't be cut.
  24. OMG The snark is because it's very rare that a team will keep 3 QB. The #3 QB usually hits the waiver wire on cutdown day.
