  1. I mean, you're not wrong, but I thought we got some "make up" non-calls as well
  2. With anyone else, I would say "that's nuts" but Allen has demonstrated amazing body control and body awareness time after time
  3. Thing is, he had a really good pre-season so we thought he may have worked his way up the depth chart. But it looks as though his place on the depth chart is backup Outside DB, whereas they are seeing Ingram as more versatile - able to play dime, nickel etc and, in fact, used him in that role. It could be that if Elam masters outside corner, they will start working him in at nickel or dime, but here's my issue with that: to play in the box, smaller guys have to really be willing to hit hard. The "F = ma" equation means, less mass, need more acceleration to get 'er done. Elam just doesn't seem like that guy who is willing to sacrifice his body to tackle Derrick Henry or similar This is it, with the added proviso that it may be, as others have said, that when Ingram came in, he played nickel while Lewis played dime. Either way, your point stands - Elam has not been getting any looks at nickel or dime. Set the kid up for success, don't throw him in the blender and watch him whirl
  4. Montgomery was a Force indeed. Agreed it can’t be written off as bad run D
  5. Wow is right, where was this Lions run game earlier in the game? Lions literally went “beep beep” and roadgraded Wiley Coyote
  6. Elam was playing ST Yes, Elam is #5 And yes, I have never seen Elam tackle like he means it No, Elam was active From bills site:’ I don’t think Ingram was on the field much, but if he was it was as a dime back
  7. The Lions are going to s n a t ch defeat from the jaws of victory
  8. Indeed, I’ve seen much clearer catches ruled incomplete.
  9. Yes, they do, and most of the stadia in the league are set up to transmit the X-rays instantly to on-call radiologists at the hospital they use
  10. They almost certainly x-rayed it after the game. He might be getting a CT or an MRI or something tomorrow
  11. I mean, What’s Your Point? Do you think KC would go on a winning streak with Carson Wentz or Jax with Mac Jones?
  12. Now that is not a sentence I ever believed you’d write and I’d read here. Agreed of course
  13. Thought it was a toe?
  14. Houston at Colts: Nico Collins 6 receptions for 117 Stefon Diggs 6 receptions for 33 (2 TD though).
  15. No, believe it or not, it's gonna be grass, with heating I'm not quite sure how they'll prevent it becoming mud by the middle of December, but grass is the plan
  16. It was pretty clear functionally that Diggs wasn't the Bills WR1 for the last 7 games of the 2023 season
  17. The mean dead cap (#16) is LV with $31.3M. So yeah, $31.1M of the Bills $63.7M dead cap is Diggs, and without his share the Bills would be right about the mean.
  18. I can't claim credit for it. Diggs clearly thought he would be moved before his contract guaranteed in the first days of the New League Year - he tweeted something to that effect. And again, there were reports that prior to the New League Year Bills were trying to trade him. One of the pundits (Might have been Florio? Might have been Peter King?) said that the Bills had pretty well given up on getting the value they wanted for Diggs and resolved to make the best of it, and the Houston offer of a next year's 2nd from the Vikes was equivalent to a Zillow "Make Me Move!" offer.
  19. I agree with the theory that when the Bills restructured Diggs in March 2023, they expected Diggs to play through 2024. At that point, there had been a couple months (not 14 or 15) of tension during an otherwise difficult 2nd half of the season featuring a game that had to be moved due to snow, a player who died on the field and was returned to life; a killer blizzard; Josh Allen UCL injury hindering him; Allen's long-term relationship with his GF reportedly on the rocks. I think in March 2023 Beane felt that Allen and Diggs would mend their fences and another 2 seasons of Diggs would be right on track.
  20. It's not just you. It strains my belief. I think 2 things happened: 1) Diggs made it clear in January that he didn't want to be here, was not gonna be doing any "fence mending" work in the off-season, and would raise a dust if he didn't get his targets during the Bills 2023 season 2) the Diggs camp did some calling and came up with a 2nd round pick (next year, but still) as comp to trade him somewhere he wanted to go Unless you have inside knowledge, I disbelieve any new "knife in the back" theory of Spring 2023. I mean, what even would that be? Diggs and Allen were both saying all the right things in interviews, they weren't in the same place at the same time.... Someone here with some insider connections said it was an "open secret" at the Senior Bowl that the Bills were willing to trade Diggs for the right price, but the going rate for a high-paid WR older than 30 with a crap 2nd half of the season was like a 4th, less than the Bills would accept. I believe the Houston trade was a "make me move" offer after the Bills had decided to coexist with Diggs for another season.
  21. I do agree with this. Making Glab apologize for speaking what everyone working in the building on the media/PR side may have recognized as truth, seemed like a "flex" by Diggs. It was well known in the Bills press that Diggs was dodging his media availability (confirmed to me by someone at TBN) I was just explaining why Diggs and his agent chose to "flex" about it.
  22. Right, some of the reactions here make it pretty clear that the poster didn't read the article, or even the quoted excerpt.
  23. I don't think you have a clue what Diggs and the current head coach had to say, and I don't either, so imma give that a miss. I think you're missing a point: The players aren't anonymous TO EACH OTHER. They know who supported or spoke against each play. They have accountability to EACH OTHER. The reason to be anonymous to the coaches is to avoid concerns for having their career impacted if they speak up freely. Except that there has been highly accurate facial recognition since 2020 (and only improved since then) that works with...wearing a mask. https://www.datasciencecentral.com/sunglasses-and-face-mask-wont-fool-facial-recognition/
  24. I think a different way to say this is the old truism, "it's not about the X's and the O's, it's about the Jimmies and the Joes" A play designer can come up with an absolutely brilliant (on paper) call that should work beautifully against the type of defense an opponent statistically favors in certain down and distance situations. If the play depends upon for rookie Dawson Knox to block Judon 1:1 against the edge - it's quite likely a flawed plan. If it depends upon a blocking scheme that their week of film watching suggests to the OL they can win against the personnel and tendencies of their opponent, it's not exactly "cool boy" to gather that input. It's smart management. Diggs was on the team last year when Brady adopted this approach, and the team went 6-1 with the 1 L coming down to a FG in OT. Not sure what is your point?
  25. Diggs "camp" did not want him to be portrayed as uncontrollable or out of control (lowers his stock with potential other teams), as doing what he wants to do at the expense of team or captain responsibilities (ditto, also bad for his brand) or as saying "***** you" to a pretty blonde team employee (again, bad for his brand)
