  1. Tua has had open guys deep, but he doesn’t seem able to be accurate under pressure As the Chargers get beat deep by Tua Edit: yeah, I saw the guy fell down, but he really should have safety help over the top
  2. Agreed but then what was that “illegal block in the back” thing against the Bolts
  3. Wow. I want the Chargers to win, but Phillips put his arms down, what the hell is that with that penalty? He did everything
  4. I hope you’re right but there is a lot of time left And damn this sounds like a freakin’ Dolphins home game. Please tell me Highmark won’t sound like that.
  5. Like other QBs don’t throw balls away to avoid a sack?
  6. Chargers DB are on 🔥🔥🔥
  7. Bottom line: Josh Allen has already charted his own path so I think we know nothin’ about what’s going on and what his prognosis is. I think the best info that we have is from Carson Palmer. He talked about when he tore his UCL, it didn’t hurt and he finished the game, but the next week in practice some of his balls would just drop and become dirt balls. Not every ball, he said every 3rd or so just wouldn’t go where he wanted. He rested and scar tissue formed. Josh Allen had a less severe tear his rookie season and was out 5 weeks (4 games plus a bye I think), and was wearing a brace and seeming kinda tentative a couple weeks more. Josh Allen hasn’t rested. He got a PRP injection (confirmed by Josh) which normally take a couple weeks to start working. I think he’s somewhat hesitant and while he says he doesn’t feel it during a game, it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s pretty sore (and maybe moving backwards in healing) after games where he’s throwing 40+ passes like Minn or Detroit. I think the bigger effect may be limited practice during the week - he isn’t going on the injury report as limited, but he said in an interview it does limit how much he throws. Maybe he doesn’t throw for guys after practice, or repeat a throw several times to get it right. The one thing I know is that the human body can flout established medical protocol and show a remarkable ability to heal while being used - there are cases of long distance hikers, say, who injure an ankle and keep hiking, and gradually get better while hiking every day carrying a heavy pack while medical advice would say a month or 6 weeks of rest is indicated. It takes longer but eventually the healing is as good or better WE’re at 5 weeks. My guess would be that he’ll start to feel better in a couple more weeks (6 or 7) but that’s only a guess.
  8. Those are beautiful. Thank you for sharing 🥰🥰🥰
  9. If they thought Tua could do something with 18 seconds, why call a run play up the middle?
  10. But why, that’s an Eternal Mystery of Life
  11. What’s up with that play call? If you’re only gonna have one play, why run up the middle?
  12. How about go up 17-7? Just don’t let the Fishies squish one by you
  13. Whoooo! Keep it up Bolts! Go Bolts!
  14. Ekelar is Good
  15. They should try to keep Herbert more comfortable in the pocket by handing Wilkins some lube as he runs by
  16. Yea Chargers first down. Go Bolts!
  17. You got me. On the broadcast he said something about batting it backwards so it was OK? And no whistle. But it seemed bizarre to me, as did the previous “DPI” (seriously, that’s what you’re calling DPI? Even the announcers and their rules expert thought it was lame) It’s almost as though the officials were like “hey, this game is too one sided, let’s help the Dolphins get rolling”
  18. I wish Collinsworth would develop laryngitis
  19. Oh, now we’re comparing Tua to Kurt Warner?
  20. Is it just me or does SNF have some of the tackiest, stupidest graphics I’ve seen in the computer era? They are tacky and ugly
  21. We. Scored. We. Did Not Punt On 3 Drives involving incomplete passes to McKenzie We scored a TD on 1 and a FG on another. If you wanna describe a drive that starts with a busted pass play/ineligible man penalty and moved on to 2 holding penalties, and an incomplete pass to Davis as “McKenzie single-handedly ruining a drive so we had to punt” when it was a short pass on 3rd and 16, Hokay, but it seems like a bizarre descriptive to me.
  22. So first off, as @HappyDays was educating me about, we get 3 drops only if we count a “no play” due to a DH penalty giving us a 1st down. We didn’t punt; Dawson Knox caught a pass and scored a TD on the next play. And it wasn’t a 3rd down, it was a first down. Yes, McKenzie failed to haul in 2 passes on 3rd down. Where was he, where were the sticks, where was the defender? If he single-handedly stopped the drives, what happened on 1st and 2nd down? Were those also incomplete passes to McKenzie? 3rd and 16 on the Buffalo 12 yd line after an ineligible downfield on Morse, holding penalty on Dawkins and Saffold 1st and 15, 1st and 20, 2nd and 20, 3rd and 16 - yeah that sounds like “McKenzie single-handedly stopped the drive” on a pass short left. Unclear he would have had the 1st if he caught it But we did punt, so that’s 1 of your 3 confirmed. 3rd and 3 on the Jets 20, McKenzie failed to haul in the pass, we kicked a FG. Narrative changes what we perceive. We now return you to your regularly scheduled tar and pitchfork session.
  23. So that’s what we’re doing now, we’re keeping count of all the drops and interceptions and stuff that happen on a penalty and get called back? We doing that for everyone?
