  1. Best anyone can figure, this critter is a Dolphins and Patriots fan beyond all reach of reason and persuasion....quite probably a troll If it amuses you, have at it but IMHO "Don't Feed the Trolls" A most measured helping of advice, but the magic 8 ball says "Yes. He does."
  2. So wait, you want the thread to end so you keep coming back to it and feeding it? This is like saying you want your firepit to burn out, while adding another log.
  3. I looked it up, and the Bills actually have a #2 and #3 WR who have contributed more yards and more receptions than the Cowboys #2 and #3 WR: 35/665 and 35/359 vs. 30/399 and 35/343. For Dallas, is that felt to be because they didn't have much of a passing game with Cooper Rush? OR is it because Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson > Noah Brown and Michael Gallup?
  4. And we ought to have the same sticking points, of course.
  5. I personally think McDermott was doing something he does pretty well there: appearing very open, while actually committing himself to nothing. Thad Brown FWIW takes the viewpoint that Jerry was "negotiating a contract in public" there.
  6. He did a "respectfully, I won't go into that" (or equivalent) 2x in that clip: once when asked about if OBJ wanted a commitment for more than this year, and once when asked about what contributions he saw him making this season. And he didn't exactly say he had faith in OBJ's health, he said "once we get that far" he'd put his faith and trust in the medical team. A little bit different....
  7. My point was that the Bills needed to have an open roster spot in order to activate and then release Stevenson.
  8. I haven't followed that closely, but earlier this season the timeline I heard was be ready to start practicing mid-November. So this seems like "sliding timeline" to me. I don't think it's possible to release a player from IR without an injury settlement. The procedure is they must be medically cleared and activated to the 53 man roster. After they are activated, they can be released.
  9. They likely want him on the practice squad. Procedure goes IR -> active roster -> release and go through waivers -> sign to PS if he clears Be interesting to see what Buffalo East in NJ makes of this.
  10. He was with the Bills in pre-season and we signed him to the practice squad in November, after we signed and then cut Brandin Bryant. I don't think we used up any of our call-ups on him
  11. Some media members agree with you about the "playoff piece"
  12. But what did he mean by that? The 49ers are pretty far down the waiver priority list. Did he mean he would be surprised if they put in a claim, or surprised if no one ahead of them in waiver priority got there first?
  13. Normally we don't have the feeling of Josh having "handlers" when he's doing the Basement segment with Kyle. But there was one time when Josh was talking about OBJ, that his eyes looked off screen to the L, where I assume his Bills PR contact is sitting, like "am I good, can I say this?" it was when he was talking about "reports of him committing today, tomorrow, I don't know when it's gonna happen" Josh was really positive about having him, as though there's no doubt he could walk in the door and play.
  14. Kyle Brandt said to Josh (they're talking about his sideline TD to Gabe Davis) "same size field in High school, college, and the NFL" Is that true actually? I guess the dimensions are the same, the hash marks are just in different places?
  15. Actually, I think the stretch run for a playoff team is where a good GM can lift a team by being clever with roster and PS management and finding quality backup/replacement help off other team's PS and sofas. The Titans have apparently said they don't plan to bring in a new GM now - they will search after the season, in the meantime their VP of Player Personnel will serve as interim GM. Yeah, this seems to me like a "hidden blunder" situation.
  16. Wait -wat? Oh, it's a Fake that took on a life of its own https://www.totalprosports.com/nfl/broncos-russell-wilson-fake-poop-news/
  17. It is indeed weird. The Titans have been solid. The AJ Brown trade was a Bad Trade, but the fact that the Titans have had a winning record every year since Robinson took over, have been in the playoffs 4x and seem headed for a 5th, says to me he's been doing a very good job. The Titans only 2 bad losses this season have been to the Eagles (current NFC #1 seed) and the Bills (current AFC #1 seed). They lost to the Giants because the G-men found a lucky horseshoe and stuck it up their butts, they lost to the Chiefs by 3 points in Overtime and to the Bengals by 4 points. Who thinks it's a good idea to throw out your GM in the middle of the season after all that?
  18. I mean, people do change and grow and improve, and Coaches are People Too (tm) I expect if you'd have asked Browns or Kansas City fans about hiring Daboll as OC, they would have told you he was an unmitigated disaster as OC, and they would not have been wrong. I kind of thought he was going to be an unmitigated disaster in Buffalo myself during 2018, and not the greatest in 2019 but by the time he left after 4 years, most of us hated to see him go and would say he's been missed. The job he's done with the NY Giants and Daniel Jones would argue to most that he "knows something" and was ready to take that step as HC TL;DR sometimes unproven OCs and HC come through and perform, and sometimes they fail, and you can't always judge by their previous record.
  19. I think there's some truth to this. When looking at lowlights, one should really try for some balance by looking at highlight catches like this: And this: But to your point - I do think a lot of his catches do fall into the category of "deep balls, or scramble drills". I actually think part of the problem is he isn't schemed open very often. Josh seems to be forcing balls into him when he's actually well covered, and that's part of the "low catch %"/high INT against thing. I said to a friend during the Pats game "Josh Allen isn't doing Davis any favors"
  20. And let's be further honest, OBJ is 100% a Bright Lights/Limelight guy, or he wouldn't have set this whole "Sign OBJ Competition Tour" up the way he did. I give props to his agent, for "creating an urgent need" in potential buyers for his client, but it reeks of a client who is a limelight hog.
  21. In truth, a "Sarcasm" Emoji would be a great ad Link or it didn't happen
  22. Yes, and it was said Cam Lewis was very down on himself afterwards because he knew all he had to do was knock the ball down and the game was over, and he had his hand on it. But hopefully, like the "Hail Murray", the Bills defense will regroup, be more determined, and play harder for it.
