Giants got blown out on both sides of the ball yesterday. Can say they don’t have the horses yet, but they appear to have been outcoached
-
Thanks! Yeah, Diggs needs to take a Chill Pill and understand that he isn’t necessarily open when the QB has to throw the ball
-
This, IMO. If you’re truly my slime, my friend, you’re there for the bad times, you don’t bail

What Would You Rather Do: Cris Collinsworth Edition

Assume the change above is what you meant Yeah, it’s totally fair to praise the game’s premier players, and I can even live with them not doing wrong. But when he is praising the great play of stumbling up the middle and dieting the ball by Mahomes, or saying of a good, rising player on the opposing team “we’ve seen Mahomes do that so many times”, etc etc it’s rising to the level of Parody. At least refrain from praising a crap play and give the opponent their propers while they’re on the field. -
Jets request to interview Joe Brady for OC
Beck Water replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m actually not sure about the “inside track”. We have Mike Shula, who was Dorsey’s boss in Carolina and OC under Shurmur for Daniel Jones rookie year, where he looked competent. Bills previously proposed that moratorium and were shot down. Joe Brady has already been an OC with the Panthers and was fired mid-season, fair or unfair. If he wants to climb the ladder, he needs to make sure that this time he isn’t stepping onto a rotten rung - ask Daboll what OC gigs with bad Browns, Dolphins, and KC teams did for his career trajectory. -

Hyde. Bring him back too. And while we’re using that Heal spell on both teams, DaQuan Jones and BigJ9797 -

I had that thought myself. Both Oliver and Phillips can play 1T (don’t like to, but can) They might spend some time there with Rousseau or Basham rotating inside -

One of them. Jones and Settle are the 1TDT, Oliver and Phillips the 3TDT. Of the two (Settle and Jones) Jones is the bigger stud and has been getting 70% of the snaps. In theory, Jordan Phillips is HUGE and should be able to play 1TDT but it’s not his thing. We have also used Oliver at 1T last season but it limits his best skill. Both Oliver and especially Jordan Phillips are playing through injury - Oliver hasn’t been on the report for weeks but he’s playing with a brace on. 5 DE is new, will be interesting to see what Frazier has in mind there. -

DaQuan Jones inactive is huge for us. 5 active DE is unusual -

Is this the actual Bills locker room or some kind of "NFL Experience" thing? The pants look ridiculously short and I thought the Bills lockers had a different configuration. -

I'm fan enough to soak up all the footage, but this guy Brasky is just making up words to match with it when he tweets it out. Is it just me, or does he set off the metal detector and just keep going while the security guards go on about their business? -

Is he really? In past years, I've appreciated his web site "Sharp Football Stats" although he isn't keeping it up this season. I'd mock him for his absurd Conspiracy Theory take about the NFL selling neutral site tickets - as though the Bengals, KC, and Buffalo weren't also selling Championship game tickets. -

Those were two of the playcalls that got to me also. Then him going off about how Mahomes is the only QB who can throw without stepping into it off his back foot, Aaron Rodgers says "hi" and Josh Allen says "learned it from Rodgers" -

I gave an example up thread. When it gets to calling a deep throw that plainly went through the receivers hands and was catchable by Lawrence an "overthrow", while effusively praising Mahomes starting to scramble up the middle and then dirting the ball as "a fantastic effort", that goes beyond recognizing the skill of a superior play, and into "inability to see the game with objectivity or impartiality" eg, Bias. tying threads together -

He can be a tad biased, but at least he tries to be aware of it and counter it and move himself towards neutral Collinsworth has completely "jumped the shark" to me. -
There's an old farmer with an apple orchard at the back of his property, surrounding a pond. One late summer day he has a yen for an apple pie, so his wife tells him, "here, see if you can find enough early ripeners to fill this bucket and I'll bake one for you" As the farmer approaches the pond, he hears giggling and splashing. When the pond comes into sight, he sees piles of clothes on the bank, and four comely young women splashing in the pond. When they see him, they shriek and go deeper into the water. One of them calls out "Please! Don't make us get out of the water!" The farmer holds up the bucket and drawls "Oh, I'm not here to make you get out of the pond. I'm just here to feed the alligators!"

That seemed to be Josh Allen's reaction, for sure. I think it's more he likes to play chess. He talked about it on Kyle's basement. Evidently plays remotely with his brother. I'm not surprised, I think of football as a giant chess game played IRL and I think to an extent, QB reading the football field pre- and post- snap to project what's going to happen and reading the chess board to see what the opponent's strategy is going to be require similar mental skills.
