  1. I'm saying that you are putting words into Josh's mouth that he did not say on the Bussin with the Boys podcast You are interpreting what he said to fit your narrative. Then when someone calls you out on it, you're all "oh, let's not go back into this" You can not find a quote from that podcast where Josh says that. He said things that you interpret that way, like that he basically used to start working out like OTAs just a couple weeks after the season and now he doesn't do that. But working out isn't the only way a QB "works on his craft", nor has Josh in any way said "he's getting back to that" (eg, starting to work out immediately after the season like OTA). I'm all for "let's not get back into that", but then, don't get back into it; don't put out your interpretation, claim it's what Josh said, and then tell everyone else not to get into it. In the thread you referenced, I actually went through and provided a complete transcript of what Josh actually said. He never said "I used to work on my craft more than I did the last couple years".
  2. Me neither, Shakir is 6'0. What does he call Isabella and Hamler, dwarves? midgets?
  3. Did not participate today, but seen out walking around. Easy to fear the worst from a non-contact injury
  4. Well, first of all, like Josh Allen said, we have 3 months before they play football for real. So I wouldn't get too riled up. Second, it's really hard to tell from limited reports what's going on For example, here's a glimpse of Coleman: So, growing pains, some good some bad.
  5. So what about Shakir? Is he OK?
  6. I wish Cook would go work with the "eye training" guy Knox worked with or whatever
  7. In general, Damar did not show out well in the games Poyer missed and he was playing with Jaquan Johnson. That'd be the first Miami game, the Pittsburgh game (which didn't matter, blowout) and the first Jets game which also featured Terrel Bernard trying to play for Milano (spoiler: went badly). And of course, the Cincy playoff game where Poyer went out and our safeties were...Dean Marlow and Jaquan Johnson. Johnson was pretty well out of football last season, BTW. Was cut by the Raiders, out of football until he was brought in by Tampa Bay for a brief PS stint in Nov (by brief, I mean like, a week)
  8. Like I said, if you don't want to go back into it, don't go back into it, but don't mis-reference and mis-quote and then expect to not go back into it.
  9. Yeah, in the show where they were talking about the Diggs trade, Emmanuel Acho talked about "freakazoids", that every team needs to have at least 3 players who are clearly above the general talent level, to win He commented that San Francisco has about 6. The fumbled snap? Yeah, Allen just would not be denied with defenders ripping at the ball so hard the were literally picking Allen up off the ground. I think that play turned the game.
  10. It can if the ligament is completely torn, but if it's not completely torn rest will heal it. IIRC Carson Palmer had this injury and "rest" was the cure. Allen tried PRP injections and "keep playing" https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/buffalo-bills-quarterback-josh-allen-elbow-injury-surgery-offseason-mvp-patrick-mahomes-super-bowl https://www.nfl.com/news/bills-qb-josh-allen-won-t-need-elbow-surgery-on-track-for-full-recovery-by-2023- If you don't want to go back into it, then don't mis-reference and mis-represent what Allen actually said on that Bussin' with the Boys podcast.
  11. https://www.thedailynewsonline.com/sports/shakir-leaves-practice-field-isabella-shines-at-bills-mandatory-minicamp-tuesday/article_2b62f326-2826-11ef-8c15-6b66e1afa2f0.html Who Dat Brasky calling "diminutive"? I mean he's not 6'4", but he's 6'0", same height as Diggs was. If Shakir is "diminutive", what do you call Andy Isabella or KJ Hamler? https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/buffalo-minicamp-khalil-shakir-lengthy-injury-list-rv3
  12. We're mostly just busting your balls saying "it's just you" What I meant by "why is this even a question?" is 1) Of course some arguments drag on ad nauseum 2) Think a minute about the question "why are people here, posting on this board?" -Some come here to share knowledge/info which feeds the "Silent Majority" who come here for information or football discussion. But left to that, it's not enough to sustain an active bulletin board, especially off-season. And it's frustrating sometimes: one can write a thoughtful and well-sourced little screed and it gets a bunch of views and maybe 4 responses, because there's nothing outrageous in it to spark disagreement and spur others to respond. -Some come here to vent their Buffalo Bills frustration. These come in 2 classes: like to try to discuss semi-knowledgeably and just like to vent, "old man shouts at cloud" 3) Think for a minute about the psychology of posting on a bulletin board. It's fundamentally a bit LAMP-y, "Performative Art" if you will. Some like to perform by sharing info or trying to discuss semi-knowledgeably and civilly. Some like to perform by debating endlessly and get that out of their system online, maybe as a change from a life of being "best behaved" at work and "letting go of the small stuff" at home.. But some like to perform by trying to "play off" others, either reasonably politely because that's who they are on and off bulletin boards, some with a nasty edge and rolling into personal insults easily especially whenever they're well-refuted. Partly that's because of the well-established psychology of online communities, where people get a chance to act in a way they probably wouldn't IRL with no or minimal consequence (at worst, the need to create a new account). We have people who bluster and sling insults around and collect what they believe to be cutting personal attacks (based on minimal evidence), who probably IRL pet kittens and are gentle to puppy dogs and even treat people decently, but from the safety of a keyboard and screen they feel empowered to "unleash their inner #######". Then there are people who are flat-out crazy, like they just can't help themselves. I was puzzled by this in my previous life here, until someone pointed out to me that ~2% of the population has serious psychopathologies, so I'm gonna meet that percentage here.
  13. That's certainly what Snead said. Cosell said the "truth on tape" is that Diggs isn't a #1 receiver in the NFL at this point in his career. For a good defense, you need at least 2 WR who are clutch. I think the truth is that the Bills haven't had 2 receivers who were clutch for them since 2021, when Beasley was released. Kelce gets open 2 ways. One is that, like Beasley, he has great release moves and a PhD in football that allows him to study how defenses play zone and find the weak spot, then be on the same page with his QB in secondary route concepts ("scramble drills" with purpose). If there are other receivers to worry about, and Mahomes can extend the play, that's very hard to defend. The second is the same way Gronk did: he pushes TF off, he's reasonably subtle about it, and the refs never call it. When you got a 250 lb tank with a 200 lb Nickel trying to cover him, a bit of push goes a ways
  14. Did you see this elongation from the start of the season? Because remember Josh had the torn UCL in his elbow in 2022, but he had a shoulder injury in 2023 - I don't remember if it was during the Giants Week 6 or NE Week 7, but he took a turn in the medical tent Week 8 vs Tampa after falling on it. As I recall it was the same injury he had in his non-throwing shoulder in 2020 vs LVR that made his passing not as sharp the next 4 games (and he was wearing a LB brace), then he was fine. Only in 2023 with it being in his throwing shoulder, he seemed to be aggravating it every couple games, he had a "stinger" against the Pats in Week 17. Frankly I thought that was one reason Brady leaned on the run and had a couple games where we barely passed (Dal and LAC). Didn't someone here (maybe it was @HappyDays) that Josh's shoulder was much worse than the Bills let on, it would heal with rest but it's hard to rest when you're a starting QB and your team needs to win every game.
  15. My guess is he went beyond what Palmer could best teach him. Woaoa There! Don't mince words, tell us what you really think!
  16. Injuries and attitude. Rookie year OK - near 1000 yds 2nd year good - >1000 yds despite missing games with a calf injury, but the Head Case started to show up with voicing frustration over targets publicly (while missing time injured) and lashing out at fans " "get a life and go to work" and "continue working y'all little jobs for the rest of y'all lives" 3rd year - broke bone in foot, went AMA in his rehab, showed up to camp severely hampered, played 2 games and was IR'd until Game 12. He had a 'tude as well. At this point Bills declined his option and shipped him to LA for a 2nd round pick. In 2017 LA, he found a run-centered offense powered by Todd Gurley and he found himself #3 on the depth chart beyind Kupp and Woods, and whether it was that he never got back to his original form from the foot injury or just lost the drive to excel, that was pretty much it. LA didn't get the ROI they'd hoped for that 2nd round pick, so they let him walk and he signed with KC 3 yr $48M, where he was #3 behind Kelce and Hill. KC got a couple of decent years out of him as their #3 but I don't think they got their $48M. I'm not sure I'd call him a bust - to me a bust is a guy who just can't play in the NFL, and Watkins could play in the NFL. But, he certainly didn't give the Bills the ROI for trading up in the 1st round to draft him. Let's to to the original on this, not the blog who quoted it https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2889029-what-sammy-watkins-believes Like I said, "injuries and attitude"
  17. https://imageresizer.com/ also works So does https://www.adobe.com/express/feature/image/resize if you're not on a computer, well, There's an App for That
  18. That's what you get for lovin' me That's what you get for lovin' me - eee Everything you had is gone And you can see That's what you get for lovin' me I ain't the kind to hang around With any new love that I've found Movin' is my stock in trade, I'm movin' on I won't think of you when I'm gone
  19. Discuss. Personally, I think he should preserve his body a bit and Share the Love
  20. It has to be a relief to McDermott and the team that the only questions in Mandatory Minicamp are around who will earn playing time and how injury recoveries are progressing
  21. I mean, that's a helluva spin. After Tua came into the game and led them to victory in 2017, Hurts remained on the team for a year in 2018, saw significant playing time, and led the Tide to a comeback victory for the SEC championship. Understandably after being benched and yo-yoing playing time, Hurts had finished his degree so he left to go somewhere he could play without question. It's a reasonable question who left whom, and Hurts did have a damned good year with Oklahoma. But did you know he can squat 600 lbs and bench press 500?
  22. Yeah, spell checking should be a Thing. But the "ridiculous" bit about maybe drawing a DPI, that was a Tom Brady special - taking a deep shot that really maybe didn't have a great chance to be caught, drawing the DPI, extending the drive to score and win.
  23. I'm seeing a lot of inappropriate analogies in this thread (Hollins to OJ Howard is one). What you're saying about Kumerow, and what you're saying about Hollins, are really apples to oranges situations. Kumerow was an UDFA who kicked around the league on practice squads and played some WR for GB. When GB cut him, the Bills signed him to their PS for 2020. And yes, the Bills did use him as a "free elevation" that year for 3 games before signing him, then waiving him when Brown came off IR (and the Saints promptly signed him). But after he'd established himself as a ST stalwart in 2021 Bills training camp, he stayed on the team. No Practice Squad for Kume from then on. He missed games only when injured. Hollins was a 4th round draft pick for the Eagles. He's never been a practice squad guy, and established himself as a ST stalwart right off the bat, except for the year he was LVR's #2 WR where he mostly played offense. He's been a ST captain (or an offensive captain!) pretty much every where he's played, apparently. This is not a guy you yo-yo on and off the practice squad like an UDFA who has never established himself as a guy who can play on ST or offense. It's just a different situation than 2020 Kumerow. And yeah, about those 600 yds "like Claypool", Claypool hasn't contributed 600+ yds since 2021; he contributed 300+ to Pitt before they got fed up in 2022 and shipped him to Chicago. In 2022, guess who contributed 57 receptions and 690 yds? Mack Hollins, that's who. So your question should be, is a guy like Hollins who has shown he can be productive as a WR more recently than Claypool, and can also play ST, worth keeping over a headcase who may or may not have changed state and who hasn't contributed as much as recently?
  24. The extra CB thing is that Beane drafted Daequan Hardy specifically for his return chops. He's a nickel, and the Bills could use a backup nickel, but from reading his draft profile I would expect him to need some development to be able to play nickel at (don't hurt me, he's the back up for a reason) the level of Cam Lewis. So if they decide he's their punt returner or kickoff returner, they need to carry an extra CB (unless Hardy develops phenomenally, but I wouldn't bet on that) The extra RB thing - so last year we kept 3 + Gilliam, and with all the ST guys we moved on from I'm thinking Gilliam stays. Cook and Ray Davis seem like locks. But then? Ty Johnson returned some kickoffs last season, is that how we see him? How do they see Darrynton Evans? He returned kicks for Tennessee and played a lot of ST for Miami.
