Same reason we're talking about Josh Allen's Creamsicle suitcoat. Peak off-season. I don't know about sellers and buyers markets, but we just had our house assessed for a HELOC and I blinked hard at the assessed value. Nuts. Like 40% more than what I saw as an over-inflated property tax estimate. I'm told it's because materials costs are driving up new property prices. And oh, yeah, the HELOC mortgage rate is less than I'm earning on my savings account. Go figure how that works. So I dunno. Wonder why Beane is selling?

We don't know, that's the thing. Please keep in mind that the DA is not in the business of "exonerating Matt Araiza". The DA is in the business of deciding whether they can prosecute a crime beyond a reasonable doubt. So if they have a witness who says Araiza left the party prior to the timeline when this occurred, and they have videotape in which the alleged victim appears to be having consensual sex or at least isn't clearly having non-consensual sex, there is reasonable doubt and the DA has no case. On the other hand, the alleged victim's lawyer says they are proceeding with the civil suit, and has this to say: Gilleon claims they have been asking for corroborating evidence (cell phone geolocation? security video?) that Araiza left the party, and have yet to receive it. We're kind of in a similar place to where we were last summer, where a bunch of people were yelling "guilty! guilty! guilty!" at Araiza because of the civil suit allegations (and without knowing what evidence did or didn't show). They were off-base. Now we have people pointing at the victim yelling "liar! liar! liar!" , again without knowing what all the evidence shows. She may have lied, she may have been too drunk or high to have clear memories, she may be telling the truth but it's not enough to support criminal charges. I'm not sure what you're suggesting here - that the DA is covering up false accusations? I doubt it. I think it's worthwhile remembering that the police and DA evidently put serious investigative muscle and serious time into this, and it's doubtful they do this if there wasn't significant credible evidence that a possible crime (rape) took place. I think Gilleon seems like a slithy tove, but he's right about this: NOTE: I am NOT saying that Araiza was accessory to a gang rape, or that a gang rape was committed. I am saying the DA's office sitting down and explaining to the victim and her attorney why they won't be prosecuting a crime, or the existence of videos apparently showing consensual sex at some point in the evening, does not of itself exonerate or show the alleged victim lied about a gang rape that took place later. I'm also saying Araiza's legal journey is apparently not over yet. That ain't my opinion, that's straight from the alleged victim's lawyer.

To be a bit fair to the actual media, I remember most of the actual reporting on the incident being pretty careful - and I'm fairly sure that if (as the civil suit alleged) I incapacitate you, lead you to the scene of an assault, and throw you down in front of your assaulters I'm legally held to have something to do with their crimes. Accessory or something. I also remember a number of opinion guys and some local press, as well as (of course) social media absolutely foaming at the mouth, and you're completely correct that they weren't interested in pesky details.

Wait Highmark has rafters?

First of all, have you read the police complaint? I don't believe that has been released. Second, what we do have, the civil suit filed by her attorney, specifically does NOT say that. It alleges that Araiza led her to a room and threw her face down on a bed, where OTHER people (not Araiza) gang raped her. If you're gonna toss around terms like "liar" for things said that appear to be factually untrue, you might want to take a bit more care with your words. I tend to agree with @HappyDays take on this, although what the civil suit alleges would probably make him an accessory (so not just accused of statutory rape)

I dunno if Gabe has a "limited route tree" or not. I believe that was something Patrick Peterson said about him after he picked a ball Josh intended for Gabe. You can look at the routes he was asked to run here https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/charts/player/gabriel-davis/DAV329675/season I personally think the stuff an opponent says about the team should be taken with a gram or two of salt.

I thought what Tipster was complaining about was Josh Allen being "too commercial" by modeling and posing for endorsements? What, now he can't buy custom made suits or play golf? Something something all work no play makes a dull boy

I exercise my right to avoid self incrimination Off season football discussions violate CBA Patriots get a 3rd round pick if he does

The DA did not say that there was evidence via geolocation of Araiza's phone that he had left. She said that there was witness testimony that Araiza had left.

I told you. Rooster. I have a friend who'd probably contribute one.

Yeah, right - says the guy who is constantly running from thread to thread "policing" the board for "not allowing criticism" - while himself criticizing Go look in a mirror.

https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/how-much-joe-burrow-make-endorsements "Joe Burrow currently has deals with Lowe's, Bose, Fanatics, Buffalo Wild Wings, Nerf and Nike, as well as Ohio-based electric truck company Lordstown Motors" Oh, and apparently Kroger He's stated the goal to live off his endorsements and bank/invest his entire rookie salary. So, I dunno what TV you're watching, but if you think Joe Burrow is watching film and throwing at targets 24/7 during the off season, Think Again. https://youtu.be/Zlw-NAeUMHw Josh was not at the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl takes place January 1. Josh was getting ready to play the Bengals in Cincy on January 2, so on January 1 he and the team would literally have been in their Cincinnati hotel.

Please don't dis lentils like that. Properly cooked, lentils are scrumptious and delectable. I'm thinking that vegan Enchilada recipe I got off this board about a year and a half back (pretty sure it's this one). Dal Palak with nicely cooked basmati rice. Misir wat with fresh injara. That kind of thing.

Oh Good Grief. Please - go outside and watch a house sparrow or feed peanuts to a squirrel or something. I have no problem with people who disagree with me. If we meet IRL sometimes I buy the beers, sometimes they do. I do have a problem with meathead comments. Jumping from promiscuity/aggressively seeking sex to “wants to be choked bruised up and left bleeding” is a genuine Head of Meat certified utterance. I don’t agree that the Bills made a wrong decision by releasing Araiza. A 6th round pick is ~30% probability to make the team (another 30% to make the PS) so losing one is no huge deal. Araiza had question marks in his holding ability and directional punting. The civil case and possibility of criminal charges and resulting social media furor made him a lightening rod for controversy and a distraction, and also raised the real possibility of him being distracted by the need to prepare a defense. I feel the Bills made the team better by releasing Araiza and signing Martin, who did very well for us last season as a holder and directional punter. Is it unfair for a guy to lose his place on an NFL team for allegations that may be untrue, Absolutely, but public perception has always been a Thing for entertainers, and that’s essentially what sports figures are. And life isn’t fair. That is how it is. No. You aren’t right. That’s not the meathead comment.

Ooooh. No. Too far. I frankly don’t want to see him get political in any way. But an advertisement for New Era caps or whatever that was? Gillette shaving ads? Pfffht, Go For It. I keep reading stuff like this from you. Leaving apart my own experience and that of people I dialog with - which is that we criticize players on a regular basis here and experience no problems in doing so - has the fundamental contradiction between your expressed viewpoint, and the fact that you find multiple posts upon which to express it, truly escaped you? Newsflash posting some vague generalized BS like “he’s lost his edge” on a message board requires no “courage” at all.

I could be wrong, but I think he may have been reacting to some genuine meathead comments that have been made here. They struck me the same way

Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour
Beck Water replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in Off the Wall
Is this a serious post? In the (I think) 7 states + DC that recognize common law marriage, the first criterion for a common-law marriage is INTENT and mutual agreement to enter into a marriage relationship. Another criteria is public declaration or being "known to the community" as husband and wife. We purchased property once from a couple who met those criteria. They wore rings; they referred to each other has husband and wife, they had a child they referred to as "our daughter". Everyone in the community believed they were married and he was the father of the child, until she passed away and it came out neither was true. So even in a state in which common law marriage is recognized, the two of them would have to have an intent and mutual agreement to be husband and wife, and to present themselves as such. Living together and referring to each other as "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" doesn't cut it. Either way, Josh seems to have had his legal and financial act together stemming back to before the draft, so I'd be pretty surprised if the two of them didn't have a written "palimony" agreement spelling out the finances for how they cohabited and in the event of a breakup. As far as morality and commitment, that's really between the two of them. I don't expect sports heroes to be moral exemplars to the rest of us. Everything that's out there seems REO-Speedwagon-ish (heard it from a friend who...heard it from a friend who...heard it from another, you've been messing around). I do know people who have cheated in their committed relationships and the relationship has mended and moved on, and others who have cheated and the relationship ended. So either way it's between them. 7 years is a long time for a committed relationship. Their breakup could be as simple as she wanted to progress to marriage and have kids, and he didn't. Or it could be a recognition that they really don't have strong mutual interests any more - Allen is obviously passionate about football and golf, there have been hints in interviews and social media that maybe she isn't very interested in either outside of "support your man".
