To start with. Is there any chance you guys might like to start a "Morons in Dallas Rent Headspace to Josh Allen" thread and leave this one for discussing training camp? Please and Thank you!

Just a note here that while I agree with you about short stuff being open and Josh deciding to take shots..... ....to be fair, we don't know how the play was designed to be read. I have been told a lot of Daboll's plays (and maybe Dorseys) were designed to be read deep to short. That said, there have been games where Josh did a masterful job of taking the short stuff and carving up the D. Wins at LA and at KC would be two examples. So I don't know why he got away from it. Not on training camp per se, but Astro put out a nice piece about what he saw initially from all the WR https://buffalofambase.com/2023/07/27/early-look-at-bills-depth-chart-offensive-playmakers/

You can think whatever you like, but how would you know? Isabella has returned 9 total kicks in his 4 year career: 1 punt, 5 kicks 1st year, 2 second year, 1 third year, 0 4th year. That's less than 1/10th the 108 returns McK had, and if we assume McK 10 fumbles were all on returns (they weren't, and 6 were his first year), math says Isabella's data set isn't big enough to tell. Either way, it's irrelevant to the Bills to compare him to McKenzie, who wasn't our return man last season. We traded for Hines to fill that role So the real question is, is Isabella a better return man than someone already on the roster - Harty (all pro) Evans, or Shakir? Evans has 10 KR for 223 yds. Isabella has 8 for 166. Advantage, Evans. Shakir has 3 punt returns ave. 7.6 yds and 1 KR for 34 yds. Data set too small. Harty is a former all-pro with 152 KR and PR, KR ave 25.4 y/r - Advantage, Harty. Harty has fumbled 9 times in those 152 returns - but we don't have a large enough sample size from Isabella to tell if he'd do better

I got no info on hospitality tent. I just want to say, I hope you have a blast and come back and tell us some good stories.

The part that struck me is this: I live 800+ miles away and have no tickets, but if anyone else does, wow, you would be a fan benefactor to help these guys out.

HC/QB combo the Bills are #8. (Colin Cowherd clickbait)

I'm giving you the thumbs-down for even giving the time of day and potentially directing traffic towards this. -
You're right on that combined reception total, but that comparison is actually pretty much unfair to Sherfield and Harty IMHO In Harty's lone less injured season as a WR, he had 36 receptions for 570 yds. He was also an all-pro KR/PR as a rookie and put up top numbers. (64 receptions total) Sherfield has been a ST regular (gunner) and still has 67 receptions for 844 yds. Best year 30 receptions 417 yds. Andy Isabella has 33 receptions in 4 years. IOW, his reception total in 4 years, is about the same as Harty and Sherfield had in 1 year. Both Harty and Sherfield were undrafted guys who had to fight their way onto a roster as STers and then do whatever they could to contribute while waiting for their chance. Isabella, on the other hand, was a 2nd round pick who was a lock for a roster spot for his first 3 years and was given every opportunity to succeed.

That's not the picture I get from those words but, whatever

Ugh. I hope he's all right. Burrow seems like a good guy. I think it's usually a couple of weeks during the season. For example, Dak Prescott missed 2 weeks with a strained calf. For OL or DL who have to anchor and push their weight and another guy's around, it can linger and impact them for longer I would expect for Burrow they take their time bringing him back.

One reason I love reading different reports during training camp is because different guys see different things. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2023/07/bills-offense-josh-allen-heat-up-on-rainy-day-2-of-camp-rookie-lineman-passes-early-test-observations.html Case in point: A number of reporters commented on Shakir deflecting a ball which was picked. Matt Parrino saw it differently:

Not even fit to carry Beasley's L cleat Guy was drafted in the 2nd round, played Kyler Murray's 1st 3 years when it looked like he had something (and defenses hadn't adjusted), and could hardly see the field. IMO the living embodiment of the maxim that playing speed differs from 40 time He's returned a grand total of 8 kicks in 4 years (mostly his 1st year)

Lord, I hope not. Didn't the Panthers with Mike Shula used to run some good screens?

Sean Payton not a fan of the Jets off-season

I mean, the Packers went 13-3 for 3 successive years with Hacket as OC Rodgers had 2 successive 1st team all-pro and league MVP If drinking together produced that, I'm sure the fans of New York will be lining up to provide them with beer I think there just may be a little bit more to being an OC than whoever is calling the plays in the huddle. Just maybe
