  1. Did I speak to the contrary? But I would like to point out there are different ways to show that which are less susceptible to being abused. For example, one could donate to Oshei in her name, or send a note or a card wishing her healing and health to Hope Rises in her name I personally think this story is legit that she has cancer and the family will use the money to defray medical costs and bills, but the potential for someone to create a story around a go-fund-me and not be legit is certainly there; sadly, it has happened
  2. I could be wrong, but I don't see it as much of a mystery. Phillips is at his best as a penetrating DT. He wants to go after the QB like he's a hungry warthog and the QB is covered in steak. So he leaves too quickly and doesn't maintain gap integrity. The Bills defense depends upon the DL getting pressure on the QB, but not so quickly that they lose their gap and become vulnerable to the run. They need to be aggressive, but not TOO aggressive, which is a fine line thus a tough "ask", and one reason why our DLmen don't rack up as many hits and sacks as some other teams.
  3. It's the Mom. Her name is apparently Mikey Sherry (or she used both her and her husband's name to create the account, but it's pretty clear it's the mom posting.
  4. Strangely enough, in actual news outlets featuring actual interviews, it doesn't. The family was on the stairs, a rowdy Bills fan didn't wait for them to clear but said "I'm gonna push through those 49ers fans", he bumped the father and son, then he bumped the girl who slipped and fell into a chair, bruising her ribs. He was a jerk and an #######, but not a malicious assaultive criminal from the sound of it. That's consistent with reports of people in that section who didn't see anything out of the way - people must have been getting bumped and slipping and falling all through the game, so that wasn't a happening that would cause fans to rise up and beat the crap out of the guy before delivering him to the hands of the law, like actually throwing a child down the stairs would have been. It's Antonio Brown tweeting about "Bills fan throws little girl with cancer down the stairs" and to some extent, the mom's original angry post about "pushed her daughter down the stairs" (moms of kids with cancer are allowed to be emotional and protective Mama Bears IMO but AB is just an attention *****
  5. Cancer treatment is awful with thousands of dollars of deductables and expenses even good insurance won't cover So I have nothing against a family getting some $$ to help them with their battle But her Gofundme has gotten pretty plump from the incident.
  6. The same article reports that the Bills have reached out to the family They kind of have to, there are articles in all sorts of news media about it now from the Toronto Sun to SI The reporter who originally tweeted about it, who works with Hope Rises, also reported that the Bills have reached out https://www.facebook.com/hoperisesnews/posts/pfbid02r69AddfD9WDJF59q4LTUDZtqNUTuCGpS9cfimFaa6SjLCuXS2iCb4cwZ7Q4QxaCrl
  7. When you're a sports star with $173M career earnings so far, I guess you can afford it. Meanwhile some teachers clean houses to make ends meet.
  8. That'd be why his snap count fell. But Sunday was kind of brutal for both DLs. Phillips has always been a + pass rusher from 3T and has to be given firm marching orders to mind his gap in the run game.
  9. I was looking over their injury reports and they seem to have a lot of OLmen either out, or on the report many weeks. The Rams are good, don't underestimate them. You're welcome, we aim to please
  10. Josh is smart, but I thought I read somewhere that he bought that house intending to tear it down and custom build
  11. I think if McVay tries the run plays that initially succeeded for SF, he may be surprised. The OL on both sides of the ball were winning against the DL, especially at first, because of the footing. And McCaffrey is a special player. I mean, it's possible. The Bills were 6-6 at one point last season, won out, and won the division. So it's possible. As long as our guys stay focused, "humble and hungry", I don't think it's probable.
  12. Josh doesn't live in Firebaugh any more. He had a smaller house in Orange County then he bought one in Monarch Bay in 2023. Monarch Bay is a gated community with a private golf course. https://thenew961.com/josh-allen-home/ It's still like 60 miles away from SoFi stadium and could take 2 hrs to get there. So I don't think they'll be visiting.
  13. It's a valid point of view that for a game, on the field play should matter more than actions away from the field (Von Miller's behavior was not in the off season, it was during the bye week). That said, there's a lot of space between "don't commit domestic violence" and "be a role model off the field"
  14. I got taken to all kind of late night stuff as a kiddo, but Hell woulda been renting out ice skates before I was taken to a night event on a school night. But when you have a child in remission from cancer....it does change your risk perception. We all live our lives as though there will be time enough; you can wait and take the 4 year old to a Bills game when they're 14 Once the kid has had cancer....you always worry it will come back. You have to live as though there might not be tomorrow for them. So if there's something rare and really important, like you're all big 49ers fans but can't afford to fly to San Francisco for a game, and the 9ers are playing in Buffalo....I can understand why you "seize the day". I think they shoulda picked seats in the family section, myself. But I understand why they went to the game.
  15. Only missed 3 games so far (plus bye). So if he can go this week, they came out a week ahead. Plus, IR players can't practice with the team, while Coleman did practice this past week, which is a benefit for him
  16. Thought he got a shoulder pad to the head. (looks it up) Yeah shoulder pad to helmet. But while looking, I found this juicy bit: "No one from the Patriots was there until Madden called them"
  17. They have. Has to be repeat offender (which he is), and the after-the-whistle stuff likely added a game.
  18. Again, Al-Shaair wasn't suspended 3 games for this one hit on the field. He was suspended for 1) his actions after the whistle, which included throwing a Jaguars player down by the facemask and trying to go after a different Jags player after the ref informed him he was ejected 2) his actions earlier in the fall, hitting Caleb Williams out of bounds and punching a Bears player in the face when he objected 3) previous seasons actions that are seen as a pattern The league does habitually wait for the legal process to complete before taking disciplinary action. A practical part of that is while evidence is being gathered and reviewed by law enforcement, the league may not have full access to it and doesn't want to be held to be compromising a legal case by sending out their own investigators. Von Miller was suspended 4 games because that's the league's minimum suspension for domestic violence. It didn't take place until this season because until the law decided there would be no charges filed, the league wasn't gonna investigate. No idea what Rice will get. I would hope, more than 4 games. All league suspensions are without pay.
  19. Wat? Did he really? Right after the game, he was more " Edit: OK, I found it
  20. I had assumed (maybe falsely) that they plonked him in with just his Bills snaps, but who knows. I agree if they're trying to make a point that Phillips plays differently with the Bills, it would not make sense to include snaps with other teams Thing is....he only has 34 snaps with Dallas, so he doesn't make that "100 snap minimum" even if they did roll in Dallas snaps?? He was on IR and didn't play with them for 6 games
  21. I dunno about against the Bills, but he hit Caleb Williams OOB and then punched Bears RB Johnson in the face when he objected. He wasn't suspended for that. Earlier in his career he grabbed Tom Brady by the throat [Edit: not that there's anything wrong with that....] He was suspended 3 games, not for one illegal hit, but for 1) a previous pattern of illegal hits and after the whistle unsportsmanlike behavior (punching opponent in face) 2) his behavior after the hit, where he threw a Jags player down by the facemask and continued to yell and fight after he was informed he'd been ejected. Malice doesn't matter. The NFL has made it clear they are not in the business of judging intent. Don't hit a player in the head. Don't hit a player who has given themselves up in the head Yeah, I want to add....Josh Allen is not above using the fake slide move, but that juke in the Pittsburgh game was not it.
  22. Suspended Kareem Jackson last year. 4 games twice; first suspension was reduced to 2 games.
  23. Yikes! No wonder they don't get there!
  24. I was thinking of the Shady McCoy girlfriend drama when I read this. "Delicia Cordon". Similar vibes
  25. Phillips has been playing more, and he's been playing pretty well
