I guess this would be the place to ask @GoBills808 you OK, man? Your farm on the Big Island I think, not as hard hit as Oahu but still seeing fires? They posted before and after fire pictures of the banyan tree, it's still standing but looks as though it is badly burnt https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/10/us/lahaina-banyan-tree.html

I Hear Ya, Buff716. I don't understand why going 156 miles an hour into the back of another car doesn't constitute sufficient probable cause to draw blood for alcohol and tox screen But then There's a lot about our judicial system that I don't understand, especially its results, so I suppose you're right in the implication that this case would have plenty of company

NFL.com (Zierlein) graded him 6.7, "year 1 starter". Shows that scouting is still, not an exact science......

Keenum got a nice 2 year contract from them = $4M guaranteed. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/houston-texans/case-keenum-10079/ I think they see him as the wise veteran mentor. Mills is on the 3rd year of a 4 year contract and they have $0.5M of dead cap if they cut him (signing bonus from this season and next) It's a bit unusual to keep 3 QB on a roster, but the Bills did it the year they drafted Fromm, and backed into doing it when they signed Derek Anderson as the Wise Veteran Mentor then cut Peterman and signed Barkley (or they may have signed Barkley before they cut Peterman, I forget) Overall, unless they're positive Stroud is ready to rock, I would guess that the Texans keep 3 QB this year.

I really like Joe B's "Bills Camp Debrief" in the Athletic. Paywall of course Players who improved their position: Cook, Kincaid, Bates, Rousseau, Lewis Read it and weep, Cam Lewis PTSD sufferers! Players who could use a good preseason showing: Kyle Allen, Khalil Shakir, Tommy Doyle, Shaq Lawson, AJ Klein "a bit uninspiring" 😅. For what it's worth, they did list Brandon Shell ahead of Quessenbery on that depth chart. -
So comes too close to playing lawyer for me, but the point with Ruggs was he pled guilty to one felony charge, vs the 3 felony charges he originally faced. Charge he pled to was "DUI resulting in death" (felony) and "vehicular manslaughter" (misdemeanor) Apparently the original charges would have carried a much longer prison term (when combined I guess)

Might they feel less good about LB, if Bernard's hammy is gonna keep him out a bit? Because?

By play last year (when healthy) and by depth chart, Jordan Phillips seems pretty much like a roster lock. Bean has historically been pretty good about trading players just before roster cutdowns. The idea is if the player is traded, they gotta go there (or not play). Once they hit FA, they can pick their spot.

Dude. Josh Allen's annual average value on his current contract is $43M/yr. Full Swing says their pro simulator is $55k. Suppose there are bells and whistles and extra courses that double the cost to $110k. That's like 0.25% (not 2.5%, 0.25%) of Josh's AAV. It's like a person with ~$130k annual income dropping ~$300 on a Shark AI robot vac at Costco. If it lets him unwind by spending 15-20 minutes in his basement practicing his golf swing instead of booking time at a local venue and driving there/driving back, it probably frees up more time for him to recover from the game and watch extra film - good use of that 0.25% of 1 years $$

It's not even the collection. The claim is that the judge did not have "probable cause" to issue the warrant for a blood draw of a man who just crashed into a vehicle doing 156 mph and was taken to hospital instead of having that delayed for a field sobriety test; the judge was not told he smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, and had admitted to drinking. This really puked me out. It's not right to delay hospital transport of a patient who might require prompt treatment in order to administer a field sobriety test, but it's also not right to be able to turn the fact that there wasn't a field sobriety test prior to hospital transport into a roadblock or "get out of drunk driving charges free" card if transport is not delayed for the field test. I ain't a lawyer, but it seems to me the Your take is not controversial to me, but the charges revolved around BAC thus the prosecutor cares. I'm totally down with that, as long as you can arrange for the girl and her dog to get a 2nd chance, unburnt. Oh, you can't? Well then. He's not just guilty of being a moron. He's guilty of causing someone's death through voluntary choices he made.

Soooooooo..... on the 'depth chart', we see Baylon Spector ahead of Klein?Matakevich, and indeed wonder "are the Bills gonna move on from Klein?" Then Bernard goes down, and Klein steps on up with cameos from Spector. I think that testifies to the weight that should be given to said depth chart at this juncture. -

In fairness that may have had more to do with either 1) Vlad Ducasse being "coach's pet" to Juan Castillo in terms of specific technique 2) Ducasse having compromising pictures of Castillo Or both. But it's noteworthy that Teller started the following season as a backup guard in Cleveland, and didn't start until Week 8 so (inconceivable, I know) it may be that in 2018 and 2019 he just needed development still, and was not All That and a Bag of Chips as the narrative "he went to Cleveland and became an instant all-pro" would suggest Anyway, to your point: it's not uncommon for an OLman who becomes great, to take some time to become a starter. -

Whatever one thinks of the Bills choice to draft him in the 3rd last season, you hate to hear it. Hope it's not serious. -

I devoutly hope you are mistaken Barkley's Big Outing against the Jets was 6 seasons ago - and is, coincidentally, the last time he started a game. The reason to think it can't happen again is that he had an iffy arm to start with, and is nowalmost 33 instead of 28. As for your question - Oh My! I was This many days old when I learned that not only is Blaine Gabbert still in the league, he's now the backup in Kansas City. Though they have 4 QB on the roster, so I guess they're having a contest over there. So do the Bengals, for that matter, with Trevor Siemian as the apparent backup? It's been 6 years since he went 5-5 in Denver, and he's started 6 games (all L) since then. I'm beginning to think You Have a Point here, but I'll go with Marcus Mariota on the Eagles. He was 5-8 on a bad Falcons team last season and threw for 170 ypg with 15 TD and 9 INT, so I'm going to give him reasonable odds of winning a game or more for the Iggles, on the grounds that on a 7-10 team he managed 5. -

Dude, No. You "clog up the thread" in public about how "Unfortunately, the original tweet [by Cybulski] really lacks any substantial context" (multiple responses by you about one single tweet you object to), now I'm only supposed to address you in DM so I don't "clog up the daily thread" after one response? Nuts to that. Again, check yourself. The guy has been a public servant during training camp. Dis on him in public, get taken up in public. That Is All. -

I keep forgetting that it's now 3 PS games instead of 4 -
Ruggs was offered a plea bargain allegedly because the DA feared he would win in court. I certainly agree with you completely. Get behind the wheel while drunk and drive, just like taking a gun and randomly shooting it along a residential street. There may not be a specific intent to harm a specific individual, but every adult should realize there's a high probability of causing serious harm to SOMEONE. Same with driving that fast on a public street. There used to be an attitude to excuse actions when someone was drunk "he didn't mean it, he was drunk". That's changed, but not far enough.

I wasn't going to respond, but you're going on about this like the energizer bunny Maybe check yourself a minute? You read all sorts of stuff into the tweet without yourself considering the context (when in practice it was tweeted) then when your interpretation is shown incorrect, come up with "really lacks any substantial content"? If it's so lacking, why don't you either go there yourself and do better at reporting, or else just skip over his tweets and posts which quote them? I go with this guy: -

At least going into the first preseason game, Yes. I think Hyde would say as he has before "I'm not the fastest guy, but if you look at my GPS I've still got some gas in the tank" -

At the point where it was tweeted I don't see how it could mean "no longer working with WR", as they aren't far enough into practice to have completed the 2s and 3s. I think it means he was the only one back taking kicks. And here we see Isabella is working with the WR, running routes. Wish he said who it was against. Now this is a sentence I did not expect to read: -

Maybe. But if he's going to be our new KR, who at WR is he gonna bump? Remember on the WR depth chart, he's currently listed as 4th team - behind Sherfield/Shorter, Ateman/Keeshaun Johnson
