Williams is a rookie. That was his first start, and he was thrown into Milano's role. We don't know his floor yet. When Klein was thrown in the game for Milano in 2020, we had people saying here (with reason) he was the worst LB they ever saw play bar none. Three games and some adjustments later, he was winning DPOW as a LB. I'm not invested enough to look for receipts, but similar stuff about "lifetime special teamer" "too small and light to tackle" "looked lost out there" etc were said about Bernard last year. Including, the last two, by me.

We have been one of the best tackling teams in football this year. Even after that terrible horrible no good very bad defensive day where our defensive players were dropping all over the field injured, we're still middle of the pack on missed tackles. 14/32 not worst. Even more important, our top tackler has been our MLB Bernard, not one of our safeties or a CB - which is how it's supposed to be. You think maybe losing one of our top tacklers in Milano early in the game, replacing him with a LB who struggled, and replacing our best 1TDT (Jones) with a 1TDT who has really struggled to tackle (Settle) maybe had an impact? Now that's fair I think. I'm not deep enough in the weeds to know details of how Carolina much less the Hurricaines used their TE, but I thought they used Olsen in the seam and as a vertical threat, A Lot. Knox yes Kincaid no

Now this is pure trolling, and not good trolling at all. Back under your bridge, ShortArm.

I could be mistaken, but I thought the reviews after the Raiders and the Miami games were that Dorsey had used 12 personnel quite effectively I'm not a college football fan, but I thought the Hurricaines used 2 TE quite a bit when Dorsey went 38-2 with them. Pretty sure the Panthers used 2 TE sets a lot while Dorsey was their QB coach and Mike Shula (who is now in the Bills building with Dorsey) was OC, especially in 2015 when Ed Dickson got there. I think it's pretty unlikely that Dorsey doesn't "know how to use that package to create mismatches" Interesting. Why do you think that? I've seen Kincaid open underneath. But I've also seen him getting mauled around off the line and trying to run routes with one of his arms being held behind him. I think Kincaid needs to adjust to the physicality of the NFL some.

You do realize that this flatly contradicts the very nice point by point summary of the all-22 review @HappyDays provided? What are you, one of those old-fashioned crying baby dolls where you squeeze it the right way and it wails the same tune?

We all wish! Unfortunately thieves have figured out high-tech ways around the high-tech anti-theft ways. Near the train tracks. Supposedly someone else was driving (Diggs not in city at the time) and had a flat tire late at night.

another article explaining more about how the CAN bus attack works https://kentindell.github.io/2023/04/03/can-injection/

Yeah, that's the new trend. Interesting article if you haven't encountered https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/auto-theft-canada-1.6953242 Keep your key fobs away from your front door or in a metal box or in an RFID pouch, can help with this one. But it leaves the vehicle unable to be restarted unless they replicate a key or use this next technique: This is the one mentioned above where sometimes thieves break a window to gain access, but to maintain maximum sale value, they try to get the car to unlock using the first type of attack (or pick the door lock), then reprogram it to work with a new key unless...... And of course once they get it unlocked and the engine started, they can take it away and clone a key using the onboard diagnostic port.

Klein is already on the practice squad AFAIK (and I just checked Wiki and the Bills roster) The thing with Dorian Williams - -last season based on the snaps he got, I thought Terrel Bernard was a bust. Evidently I thought wrong -Dorian Williams didn't look good on Sunday am, but it remains to be seen whether that was because he's a rookie and he's still thinking too much which slows a guy down, or because he's not able to strap on a Milano size role but they can re-work it to fit him, or he's just not that good. But sometimes a player needs to grow into the NFL, and throwing him out there in a prominent position week after week only to watch him flail, isn't always the best way to develop a guy. I think the coaches have enough film on their guys to be able to figure it out.
-
Um, there is a reason why Klein has been on the PS while Dorian Williams and Tyrel Dodson have been on the roster. It would be because those guys are "next man up" ahead of Klein right now.
-
AJ Klein has backed up Milano. 2020, Chiefs game, Jets and Patriots game when Milano tried to play but couldn't tackle so Klein took the majority of the snaps - didn't look good. Then they put Milano on IR and re-worked the defense to better suit what Klein can do. Next week, AJ Klein wins DPOW against the Seahawks. Huh. Anyway, point is, Klein has played both roles, but it works best when the DC tweaks the defense and doesn't try to plug him in as a 1:1 Milano substitute. There is no substitute for Cookie.

https://www.buffalobills.com/news/how-the-bills-plan-to-move-forward-defensively-after-injury-plagued-london-game I agree with you. But the question is: does Beane? The second question is, who would be available, that is a true difference maker?
-
When the Bills let Phillips leave in FA and released Star Lotulelei, it was pretty obvious that they wanted to re-work the 1T DT position. I don't think going back is the answer.
-
What a shame the Bills signed 1TDTs Tim Settle and Poona Ford this off season. I guess that might keep them from putting in a 3T to play 1T. (Ed Oliver is also capable of playing 1TDT, it's just a waste of some of the good things he can do. Jordan Phillips, Not So Much.) Incorrect. https://www.fieldgulls.com/2023/6/17/23764366/former-seahawks-dt-poona-ford-reveals-why-signed-buffalo-bills-nfl-news

Is there an official update on Daquan yet?

If it's grade 1 or grade 2, McDermott wouldn't be talking about him needing surgery. -
Milano/Jones BOTH require surgery; Per McDermott
Beck Water replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty much Big problem with this: Jordan Phillips is a 3TDT. He's a Big Guy and may LOOK like a 1TDT, but attempts to make him play there in the past have not worked well. Daquan Jones is a 1TDT. We do have two 1TDT on the roster in Settle and in Poona Ford. -

McDermott said he would require surgery I believe. https://bangedupbills.com/2023/10/09/examining-buffalo-bills-matt-milanos-right-knee-injury/ I think he's done for this year. -

Nits: A sprain is a ligament injury A strain is a muscle injury Like sprains, which vary in severity from stretching but no tearing of the ligament to completely torn ligament Strains have the same variance. So the surgery is because it's a strain, but a severe one - probably Grade III -

McDermott said he would need surgery. Doesn't know yet if it's "season ending". -
Let's pump the brakes and see what's wrong with Rousseau/how fast he's back/what he looks like Then let's pump the brakes and see what Von Miller looks like.

When Feliciano tore his pec at the very end of July in 2020, he came back at the beginning of November. So 3 months. Milano tore his pec at the beginning of October 2020 and (should have missed) 7 games before coming back on a pitch count. So call it 8 weeks. He didn't have surgery as the muscle wasn't completely torn. [should have missed because they let him try to play in a LB brace and he couldn't even lift his arm] Stuff around the interweb says torn pec is 8-12 week recovery Milano though - I think that's season ending. 😥 -
Not just Chad Hall, but Heath Farwell. But yeah, they were so "on it" that I wondered if the Bills actually left some signals or verbiage intact - bad move if so.

Bills signing Josh Norman - yes, seriously
Beck Water replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's what pre-season and training camp are about. There isn't a lot of time for looking/teaching during the season. I think someone had it right above - McDermott believes strongly in having a vet presence in each room. Who is the vet presence in our CB room right now? This is Dane Jackson's 4th season but he really only has about 1 1/2 seasons of starts. It's Benford and Elam's second season. They aren't signing Norman to "play right quick". He's on the practice squad. -
Roger Goodell said today's game was an experiment??
Beck Water replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've never seen a breakdown. I've read "the bills and nfl" are responsible for ## but never a breakdown on who paid what. If the nasty field had anything to do with some of our player injuries I'm beyond pissed. -

Did the Bills get a couple hundred million from the NFL to build a stadium?
