  1. I think that sums it up pretty well
  2. We have too many skill players "out of sorts" - the play gets to them, and they can't clinch the deal. If it's true Knox is playing with a torn ligament and a broken bone, in a brace, I don't want to dunk on him too much, but it's not good. Gabe Davis fumbling, etc. I am proud of our LB and Taron Johnson. They may be small, but they're fierce. When Taron tackles a guy, he knows he's been hit.
  3. A torn ligament (unless it's a minor tear) is typically very slow or non-healing without surgery. But this might explain his problems catching the ball.
  4. He shouldn't be. 2 missed FG when the score is 3-0 and 7-6, No Bueno.
  5. Then that's kind of on Dorsey for not introducing new concepts in 2 years and also, highlighting some novel concepts.
  6. I think, A Lot. Not just Daboll, but keep in mind they have Bobby Johnson who has some scoop on tendencies of players like Mitch Morse and Dion Dawkins, and Shea Tierney. And Daboll probably has a road map to Josh Allen's psyche. That may be an under-appreciated factor with the Jags too, given they have two former Bills coaches on staff.
  7. Well, I have a trifecta of disagreement. DaQuan Jones was the heart and soul of that DL. Miller, Rousseau and Floyd depend on pressure up the middle to do their thing. So losing Jones is huge. Settle was a big step down last season but he is in a contract year and motivated to earn one. Ford was misused as a 3T or edge last season and everyone seems to feel he's better as a NT or 1T. He wasn't on the bench cuz he sucks, he was on the bench because Jones was clearly better and Settle more versatile. It remains to be seen how Settle and Ford work out. Oliver and Philips both do their best work as 3TDT. Oliver can play 1T but it's a waste of his best skills. Bottom line, we don't know how good the front 4 without Jones will be The LB are "okay" - again, we don't know how much of Bernard's excellent performance to date was having Milano next to him. We don't know if/how McDermott et al will adjust Milano's role to one Williams, Dodson, or Klein can fill, and we don't know if Williams can play (didn't look too good last Sunday but everyone has a first time). Bottom line, we don't know how good the LB without Milano will be. The secondary is bad - Bills had a top-10 pass defense last season with Jackson and Benford playing as CB the majority of the season, and with Hamlin (a lesser player) in for Hyde and Poyer playing hurt. Bottom line, no secondary is good if you give the QB all week, but potentially they can hold up OK as they did last year.
  8. I don't think we're going to see Phillips as 3T playing next to Oliver as 1T. At least until they prove it doesn't work, we're going to see Oliver and Phillips playing next to Settle and Poona Ford.
  9. There is a reason that Daboll moved up to the booth after the 2019 New England game when Josh threw 3 INT (1 arguably not his fault) and Daboll was seen screaming at Josh on the sidelines. Just sayin' There is also a reason why Josh, Gabe, Morse, and I think a couple other guys opined that Dorsey should OC from the booth last year, and that McDermott made a club rule imposing a large fine on any coach who might incur an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. How about a Detroit Lions - Miami Dolphins Superbowl, with the Lions winning?
  10. So let me get this straight. Jets game: Offense stinks, don't see them figuring it out Raiders: oh, well, that was the Raiders Commanders: pushovers, good DL means nothing Miami before the game: Doomed! Miami after the game: Amazing! Unstoppable! Jags: Offense stinks, don't see them figuring it out.
  11. You do understand that part of making a deep reception, is to track the ball in the air and adjust? ? Last I looked, Anderson was backing up G and getting looks as 3rd string C. Germain Ifredi is the backup RT.
  12. I don't think DaQuan Jones has a lower grade torn pec.
  13. Williams is a rookie. That was his first start, and he was thrown into Milano's role. We don't know his floor yet. When Klein was thrown in the game for Milano in 2020, we had people saying here (with reason) he was the worst LB they ever saw play bar none. Three games and some adjustments later, he was winning DPOW as a LB. I'm not invested enough to look for receipts, but similar stuff about "lifetime special teamer" "too small and light to tackle" "looked lost out there" etc were said about Bernard last year. Including, the last two, by me.
  14. We have been one of the best tackling teams in football this year. Even after that terrible horrible no good very bad defensive day where our defensive players were dropping all over the field injured, we're still middle of the pack on missed tackles. 14/32 not worst. Even more important, our top tackler has been our MLB Bernard, not one of our safeties or a CB - which is how it's supposed to be. You think maybe losing one of our top tacklers in Milano early in the game, replacing him with a LB who struggled, and replacing our best 1TDT (Jones) with a 1TDT who has really struggled to tackle (Settle) maybe had an impact? Now that's fair I think. I'm not deep enough in the weeds to know details of how Carolina much less the Hurricaines used their TE, but I thought they used Olsen in the seam and as a vertical threat, A Lot. Knox yes Kincaid no
  15. Now this is pure trolling, and not good trolling at all. Back under your bridge, ShortArm.
  16. I could be mistaken, but I thought the reviews after the Raiders and the Miami games were that Dorsey had used 12 personnel quite effectively I'm not a college football fan, but I thought the Hurricaines used 2 TE quite a bit when Dorsey went 38-2 with them. Pretty sure the Panthers used 2 TE sets a lot while Dorsey was their QB coach and Mike Shula (who is now in the Bills building with Dorsey) was OC, especially in 2015 when Ed Dickson got there. I think it's pretty unlikely that Dorsey doesn't "know how to use that package to create mismatches" Interesting. Why do you think that? I've seen Kincaid open underneath. But I've also seen him getting mauled around off the line and trying to run routes with one of his arms being held behind him. I think Kincaid needs to adjust to the physicality of the NFL some.
  17. You do realize that this flatly contradicts the very nice point by point summary of the all-22 review @HappyDays provided? What are you, one of those old-fashioned crying baby dolls where you squeeze it the right way and it wails the same tune?
  18. We all wish! Unfortunately thieves have figured out high-tech ways around the high-tech anti-theft ways. Near the train tracks. Supposedly someone else was driving (Diggs not in city at the time) and had a flat tire late at night.
  19. another article explaining more about how the CAN bus attack works https://kentindell.github.io/2023/04/03/can-injection/
  20. Yeah, that's the new trend. Interesting article if you haven't encountered https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/auto-theft-canada-1.6953242 Keep your key fobs away from your front door or in a metal box or in an RFID pouch, can help with this one. But it leaves the vehicle unable to be restarted unless they replicate a key or use this next technique: This is the one mentioned above where sometimes thieves break a window to gain access, but to maintain maximum sale value, they try to get the car to unlock using the first type of attack (or pick the door lock), then reprogram it to work with a new key unless...... And of course once they get it unlocked and the engine started, they can take it away and clone a key using the onboard diagnostic port.
  21. Klein is already on the practice squad AFAIK (and I just checked Wiki and the Bills roster) The thing with Dorian Williams - -last season based on the snaps he got, I thought Terrel Bernard was a bust. Evidently I thought wrong -Dorian Williams didn't look good on Sunday am, but it remains to be seen whether that was because he's a rookie and he's still thinking too much which slows a guy down, or because he's not able to strap on a Milano size role but they can re-work it to fit him, or he's just not that good. But sometimes a player needs to grow into the NFL, and throwing him out there in a prominent position week after week only to watch him flail, isn't always the best way to develop a guy. I think the coaches have enough film on their guys to be able to figure it out.
  22. Um, there is a reason why Klein has been on the PS while Dorian Williams and Tyrel Dodson have been on the roster. It would be because those guys are "next man up" ahead of Klein right now.
  23. AJ Klein has backed up Milano. 2020, Chiefs game, Jets and Patriots game when Milano tried to play but couldn't tackle so Klein took the majority of the snaps - didn't look good. Then they put Milano on IR and re-worked the defense to better suit what Klein can do. Next week, AJ Klein wins DPOW against the Seahawks. Huh. Anyway, point is, Klein has played both roles, but it works best when the DC tweaks the defense and doesn't try to plug him in as a 1:1 Milano substitute. There is no substitute for Cookie.
  24. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/how-the-bills-plan-to-move-forward-defensively-after-injury-plagued-london-game I agree with you. But the question is: does Beane? The second question is, who would be available, that is a true difference maker?
