  1. I imagine they're tired and they hurt. They do seem to go hard for him. Guess we'll see Saturday in KC, but IMO it's a good thing the Bills players don't have cameras stuck up their noses this time of year.
  2. That decision making point interests me. In 2019 vs Cleveland, he threw 4 INTs, leading to Tomlin benching him in favor of Duck Hodges. Next 2 years the Ghost of Big Ben Roethlisberger took over again. So now 4 years later, he's started 3 games. I wonder if McDermott will be able to bedazzle him and bait him into Interceptionland again.
  3. It was real cute how they made a point about "Allen in Miami turned the ball over a lot of times" without mentioning anything about Tua's need to maybe cut down on his equal number of interceptions?
  4. They ain't fired Belicheck yet. Got to fire one before you can hire the other.
  5. For values of "competitive" equal to "lose 17-3 to the Jets"?
  6. "Extremely disrespectful....bad look that the Fins (players) allowed that. ....& don't ask me what I would've done to prevent it - trust me, he's not doing that on every opponent's field....he felt comfortable doing that at Hard Rock. He shouldn't be that comfortable." WTF do they think the Fins players are supposed to do to prevent it - attack him? He wasn't just "taking a victory lap" he was going along, acknowledging the fans. It's not uncommon, any stadium where an away game has a substantial number of opposing fans. Josh did it at Heinz Field or whatever they call Yinzer Palace these days, and found his JUCO OC on the way. Most away games, there aren't enough fans and it's just a small patch of them near the exit tunnel. I can see maybe not feeling like it's a safe thing to do at the Eagles home field where their fans throw rocks at Santa Claus fercripesake. Or maybe the old Oakland Coliseum.
  7. Might have seen it from me, but the 1st half statistics are in here. Rushing yards - true. I think technically it was 5 plays of offense, since technically a punt counts as an offensive play Should have been 4 if not for @#$#$%@#$^ Josh Allen strip sack fumble.
  8. I'm with you on that "Wink" thing. I can see he's led some good defenses at times, but they're fundamentally built different than what our defense is, and I'm 100% not down with a rebuilding job.
  9. I could be mis-remembering, but weren't you using "poor LB play" and Tremaine Edmunds in the same sentence? And again, I could be mis-remembering, but I don't think that sentence was to the effect of "good thing we have Edmunds so we don't see poor LB play in Buffalo"
  10. Telling of what?
  11. I thought so too. Also, am I mistaken or was he taking the MLB role (in play, not play calling) at times?
  12. Gabe's agent told 'insiders' Rapoport etc. PCL sprain
  13. I don’t know the whole story with Leslie Frazier - but McDermott, judging from what’s happened this year, may feel that Frazier was a bit conservative and reluctant to pressure. Riverboat Ron is on record saying McDermott was too aggressive as a DC and he needed to rein him in I’m not sure that speaks to a happy marriage bringing Rivera iin as the Bills DC
  14. Ouch. I might be short-changing Rob Ryan here, but I feel he’s not fit to carry Wink Martindale’s undies. What exactly has Rob Ryan achieved as a DC? Martindale took over from Dean Pees and led a top-notch Baltimore defense for 3 years 2018-2020. It fell off in 2021, after they had to move on from some key players in FA and that may be his flaw, that he really needs top players at some key positions. Or, maybe he’s too hung up on implementing exotic blitzes when some of the modern passing offenses (like Miami) thrive on getting the ball out super-fast. I don’t know. But his track record doesn’t say “up and coming modern innovative defensive mind, bring him in”.
  15. Ravens went from a bottom ranked defense, to #3, to #1 when they moved on from Wink. Giants 17 last season 26 this season What exactly in your view makes Wink a good choice for this team? In my opinion, that would be a mistake if McDermott adds Rivera. It’s always awkward to bring your former boss in as a subordinate.
  16. Yeah, I can’t remember now who interviewed him but he was interviewed somewhere - Panthers maybe? It surprised me at the time.
  17. I admit I don’t follow the chargers much at all, what makes their ownership a nightmare?
  18. I don't think folks here appreciate yet just how masterful the defensive adjustments made by the Bills were, or how effective they were in the 2nd half of yesterday's game. And this was missing our best DB and the backup linebacker who was "making it work" in Dodson.

  20. Sounds like you have problems with a lot of stuff, actually. And of course can't hurt to revisit this classic. I sort of have a problem with you expressing an opinion here about, well....just about anything. But you would know about "next level trolling".
  21. Call me Debbie - I'm a little worried our Bills are having a little bit TOO much party on the basis of making the playoffs. I hope they have their 24 hrs of fun and then get back to the grind, because I guarantee Tomlin will have that Steelers team ready.
  22. Yeah, that's the part about the whole thing that was most puzzling to me. I think there was the nucleus of a very solid long-form article delving into McDermott's coaching in general, and specifically some of his in-game decisions and whether they have been "up to par". A good editor could have helped pruned it into form and kept it away from "character assassination" territory. I believe that McDermott has a genuine commitment to continuous improvement, which means in part, taking a minute to let things settle and then looking at criticism carefully to see if there's anything there you should use to improve.
  23. With the benefit of a bit of time, John Wawrow's take is looking solid:
  24. Imma play resurrectionist because I think this is worth re-visiting. Bills and Steelers both fired their OCs mid-season. Both in the playoffs. Saints said firing people mid season doesn't help, won't fix anything. Saints watching playoffs from couch. 🤷‍♂️
