  1. I'm looking at this asking "when did Baylon Spector jump solidly ahead of Dorian Williams on the LB depth chart?" My jaw dropped. I got to admit he seemed to play pretty well. Also, am I wrong but were they playing Spector in the middle? Did I hallucinate that?
  2. I'm telling y'all, the NFL refs right now are exactly like my dog running around a croquet course, randomly picking up the ball and moving it somewhere else and it's not allowed to complain - because she's the 'Course Hazard'.
  3. I got to agree. This board is pretty bad after a loss or when things are trending badly, but as much as our general football knowledge frustrates some of our best X's and O's guys here, FinHeaven makes us look like we all got football degrees. You seem to have read something into it. There are a lot of kinds of bias, but where did you go?
  4. I absolutely think it's too long. 16 games is brutal on the players. I also think they should cut out Thursday games. They're brutal too. But the NFL is all about profit and player safety and well-being rank low and when it comes down to it, the NFLPA is diverted by $$ as well.
  5. It doesn't matter when things are going right. But when things are going poorly, it matters.
  6. The announcers commented on it and said that it was after the whistles were already blowing or some such and they gave him the furthest spot he achieved before the whistles. Which may have been true, but simply brings up the question of why the whistles were suffering from "premature ejeculation".
  7. I think it did have a positive impact, and maybe more strongly than people think. Not because of profound changes in the scheme or personnel usage or anything like that, though I'm not sure Dorsey could or would have put that Dallas offensive game plan together and that was f*'ing brilliant (just in terms of Dallas DC sitting there going "Bills power run game mowing us down I did NOT have that on my bingo card". I think Dorsey had a particular way of coaching and interacting with Josh based on his "38-2" college career, and I don't think it was working, or if it was working, it was working negatively. I think it wound up with a "death spiral" of negativity. I mean, c'mon, we all saw it in the aftermath of Miami. I think Joe Brady has a different way of interacting with Josh and it's important when things go badly and need to get turned around.
  8. I think you are shorting Lamar Jackson of today, based on Lamar when he came into the league. I think you're suffering from confirmation bias, and maybe other bias. Most people who know football seem to give Jackson props for how he has developed as an actual QB and how the Ravens passing game has developed, especially this last year. Seems GRo was a giant plug holding back their passing game - who woulda thunk?
  9. Yeah, I think that was one of the toughest pills for Dolphans to swallow - it sounded like a freakin' home game for the Bills.
  10. Reid Ferguson has advice for Nick Wright:
  11. While we're talking Baldy, a few more good breakdowns. Josh's interceptions: The 2nd interception had me screaming. Kincaid was wide open for the 1st down. "Better to be lucky than good"
  12. They seemed to be moving the ball quite nicely with Achane, Wilson, Cracraft, and a hampered Hill. TBH when we lost Douglas and Dodson I was concerned. And kudos to McDermott for what adjustments he made defensively.
  13. "Unfortunately, he only gets to play us twice a year. Vs the rest of the league, he was not good this year. Outside of 1 really exciting playoff game in which he lost wtf has Allen done?" to which a saner head responds: "I don't know he couldnt have been that bad. He had 30 TD's and 15 rushing TD's and over 4500 yards. When game is on the line he responds"
  14. It's a mightly long kick for Bass I do agree that McDermott went too conservative.
  15. This. We seemed headed for “only Josh Allen can beat the Bills”
  16. I mean, you’re not wrong, but this is a guy who put his coaching career ahead of the physical and psychological well being of two of his sons. Why would he put his own physical well being ahead of his coaching career?
  17. I’d like to hear from one of our X’s and O’s guys - the first INT was obviously a choice route and Allen and Gabe were on different pages. I’m thinking Gabe chose correctly (based on coverage). Anyone? I know @HoofHearted on a miscue in an earlier game, confirmed Gabe read it correctly though Joe Brady was very diplomatic and took the blame on himself, pointing out that Allen was under duress and had very short time to decide (in that instance) Anyway, the point is - not to interfere with your feelings on Gabe, and I think there are reasons to question whether we should pay him or not. But if Allen is the one who is throwing to the wrong spot based on an option route and the coverage, getting rid of Gabe won’t help. Allen has to be better and make better decisions.
  18. Joe Flacco Mason Rudolph Baker Mayfield could potentially have added in Geno Smith If you were asked before this season to pick 3 2018 draft QB, were those 2 on your Bingo card? Ay Carumba!
  19. I tell ya, the NFL refs are the exact equivalent of our “Course Hazard” when our family plays ‘Extreme Croquet”. That’s our dog. She’s allowed to randomly, at her pleasure, pick up balls someone has expertly placed to go through the wicket on their next turn, run around with them, and drop them somewhere else. Players are allowed to wheedle and coax her, but can not complain, because she’s part of the game - she’s the “Course Hazard” and where she drops your ball, you must play it.
  20. The problem with the no call of very blatant PI on Knox in the 1st half, is that they were calling a couple really ticky-tack DPI on us in the 2nd half. Consistency is the problem.
  21. Schefter was reporting Grade 3 MCL sprain, yeah, grade 3 is significant tearing. That’s more than a week usually.
  22. I had no idea rabid raccoons were such an issue in Miami. To think I believed alligators and invasive boa constrictors were the primary issues…well, that and frozen iguanas falling out of trees and bonking people on the head.
  23. First half, I texted a friend “emergency rooms in WNY be hopping with cardiac cases tonight!”
  24. I never did. That was one dude’s schtick. Disrespectful AF. JMO.
