  1. Ouch, but Truth Hurts
  2. The Texans could have had what - 2 picks? 3? But.couldn’t seal the deal either time They don’t know how to contain Lamar And Texans killing themselves with false start penalties But yeah, the Ravens are a problem for reals
  3. Upthread, I did ask what exactly their criteria were? Jackson: 605 pass attempts + run plays for 4499 total Y from Scrimmage, 29 total TD Allen: 690 pass attempts +run plays for 4830 yds, 44 total TD 🤷‍♂️
  4. Their pre snap penalties are killing them
  5. #6 on the Texans - is he hobbled? Looked really slow getting over there to defend Hill
  6. Texans are shell shocked right now
  7. Just to be clear…this contract doesn’t begin until the 2024 new league year
  8. They do sometimes But yeah, Ravens should def. Have had that
  9. Wow, if only they’ll throw false start penalties on the Chiefs like that. Considering their RT fallse starts on like, every play anyway
  10. I was this many days old when I learned that Lamar Jackson has more asked of him than any other QB in the league. I wonder what their criteria for saying that were?
  11. Toney is probably 'addition by subtraction'. Anything that hampers Omenihu is fine. The Chiefs are already without Nnadi. Half their DL missing or hampered would be fine. Losing a linebacker, too, would be gravy but I bet Gay lines up for the "T train" and goes.
  12. Thanks on the % info The point is, we need to stay under the cap at all times through the playoffs. We can't make decisions to cut players that would put us over it. And the day before a playoff game is probably not the time to be restructuring and re-working deals.
  13. Um....since we broke the drought McDermott's first year as a Bills coach, how is he a "drought coach"?
  14. What reporter was it who wrote about being called into a 1:1 session with Marrone, at the cargo terminal or wherever it is that the Bills depart from just before their plane took off for an away game? He described it as being mafioso-like where Marrone had two PR guys flanking him, standing - just a really weird story *rummage rummage* OK I found it. The story ran in 2016, it happened in 2013. The reporter was Tim Graham. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/marrone-week-the-full-story-of-doug-marrone-interrogating-a-reporter-at-an-airport-over/article_1fe2d3f4-931d-5002-8acc-a64cf1214680.html Scott Berchtold sits down behind Graham, so he's being sandwiched between Marrone and communications director, both wearing suits. It turns out this is about stuff Graham tweeted, saying that Marrone will say things for effect (implying he's a liar). But Marrone is taking time to set up a meeting with him before a game - when you would think his priority might be thinking about the opponent and the game, not interrogating a reporter about something he tweeted. Many of us here have exposure to and opinions about Tim Graham and his style of tweeting, but the whole story was Super Weird.
  15. As far as cutting Martin, it's not that simple. You can cut an injured player, but only if you reach an "injury settlement" with them, where they will be paid for the # of weeks the team and their representatives agree it will take the injury to heal. Then the team which reaches the injury settlement, is prohibited from re-signing the player for the duration of the settlement plus 6 weeks. In addition, Martin is signed through 2025, so cutting him would roll $800k dead cap onto the Bills.
  16. I think the team will need to use its 2 call-ups on AJ Klein and Haack. I think they likely want a WR as well, so they may need to cut someone or IR someone from the 53 man roster. I'm kind of wondering if Baylon Spector is a candidate for IR? Does anyone know what the procedure is - if someone is cut from the roster, can another remaining team put in a waiver claim? Can any of the 32 teams claim them?
  17. They do still have a "doubtful" designation which means "unlikely to play" (not sure of %) But yeah, if there's actually no chance that the player will play, calling them "questionable" (or even doubtful) would likely call up an NFL investigation
  18. Along with your execrable taste in what football shows you suck down your optic nerves into your skull, this post epitomizes why I normally don't engage with you. You are totally unable to acknowledge valid points. Whether that's because you're unable to process them, or whether as a posturing technique in debate, I can't tell. I could respond to your points, but why bother, when you'll only move the goalposts and re-define what you're saying - first the Bills D has been healthy all season. No, they haven't been healthy all season, they lost key players for the entire season - well that doesn't count, because it's a "reasonable injury to cope with". Sheesh.
  19. Why don't you saunter off and 'enjoy yourself' watching Nick Wright and other clickbait trolls then, if you find them so authoritative and interesting? Considering that the week before they lost an all-pro CB who appeared to have returned to form....and then in London they lost an all-pro LB and their best DT, AND they were all lost for the season or most of the season (DQ did come back) - - that seems like an "OTHER THAN THAT, Mrs Lincoln, how did you like the play?" kind of statement. Since that might go over your head: if you put together a great D and then lose the best player at every level for the season (or close) 1/3 of the way through, you can't just subtract that game out and say "oh, but they've been healthy all season". They've been missing 2 key players all season (and one most of the season). And by the way, that 3rd string QB had just helped his team win 3 straight against two teams that were fighting hard for the playoffs, and against the Ravens in a cold monsoon rain. Let's not act like we can just average a team's performance over the entire season and tell who they are in late Dec/January. The 3rd string 'Reindeer' was rocking a 118 passer rating and a 3:0 TD:INT ratio coming into last week's game.
  20. I give up You work it out for yourself. (Hint: the NFL has requirements regarding injury reports)
  21. Yeah, I don't think it's a coincidence that the Bills suffered a huge rash of injuries playing Jacksonville on what was reported to be Astroturf over cement in London, and then suffered a second rash of injuries playing on a field that doesn't have under-field heating. It would have started off a bit flexible because it was covered by snow and a tarp which both insulate, but by game time it was probably cement-hard. Part of that is the Bils D is built light and fast. So to be able to hit stick, they go for the "A: in the F = MA thing. That means they're gonna hit the cement at high speed and if they hit wrong, Bam.
  22. Um. What has to happen in order for an effective pass rush to get home? Think about it.
  23. LOL why would you think the Bills would be in a hurry to let the media (and Andy Reid) know? They gave him a game status - "questionable". Let everyone find out 90 minutes before the game.
  24. It's been a minute since I've been there, but I thought the bottom of the upper deck was ground level? So they aren't going to take the upper deck into the lower bowl, just to the bottom of the upper deck and then out the tunnels? This isn't a great photo but
  25. I mean, I think that's the plan, but we all know that weather is so predictable, and the weather in WNY in winter is the best-predicted of all
