Terrible news. RIP.

Here is the full text of your post to which I responded. "It'd be nice if we'd draft a WR late in round 2 about where our 60th pick is this year, that would put up 577 yards and 4 TDs in the second half of his rookie year. At that rate he'll be as productive as Dogs (sic) has been for us." LIterally. "second half of his rookie year" No mention of playoffs.

Be helpful if you could provide some examples of what you're talking about. The actual turnovers from actually watching the game say sometimes he's the problem; sometimes he and the rest of the team compensate, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the turnovers don't matter (end of half) or aren't his fault

Wait, who said that? We should never have traded Lamonica(tm)

Better source: https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2024/03/31/kansas-city-chiefs-rashee-rice-suspected-in-connection-with-major-accident-in-dallas/ Says there is no information on that point yet. Which is kind of odd, considering it happened at 6:20 pm on a Saturday. Maybe it's a 1 car "major crash"?

DeShawn Williams (DT) Expected To Sign With Bills

https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2024/03/new-buffalo-bills-dt-loaded-amazon-and-ups-trucks-before-getting-back-into-league-4-things-to-know.html Um, Wat? Would results have been better if it were 1-armed Tyrell Dodson? -
Thank you very much for putting this all together. OK, so in theory....they upgraded bigly. In practice - we'll see. I will say I'm not sure acquiring OL talent from the Ravens is the best move to establish pass protection. Those guys have traditionally been 'road graders' in the run game, but Lamar Jackson doesn't get sacked that much because of his escapability - and even so, he took 41 sacks last season. Tyron Smith was a great LT in his time, but it's not just that he missed 4 games last season - he hasn't played a full season since 2015, and he hasn't been a first-team all-pro since 2016. In the last 4 seasons, he's appeared in 2, 11, 4, and 13 games. There's a reason why at age 34, Dallas was willing to move on from him and why his contract with the Jets is highly incentivized for playing time. Alijah Vera-Tucker - "now healthy"? He tore his Achilles October 9th, he had a "procedure" to repair it and was just out of a walking boot in early Jan. He says it was a "higher up" tear with "better blood supply" and he had a different repair than Rodgers. So I would say - it's unknown at this point whether he'll be ready at the start of next season, and if so, what level of play he'll be capable of. Some guys come back from an Achilles, some guys don't but I think it's especially hard for an OLman. Either way, he's appeared in 7 and 5 games the last 2 seasons, so the Jets ROI for a 1st round guard is not high at the moment. Basically at 2/5 spots on OL, they're counting on guys who have missed a lot of time the last 2 seasons to level up their availability significantly, and counting on a guard and a RT from the best running team in the NFL, with a highly mobile and elusive QB, to provide pass protection for a relatively immobile elder statesman returning from an Achilles injury. It's a plan, but it's not a slam-dunk good plan, in my opinion. I think the Jets have had a great defense and it will look much better if whoever they have behind center isn't turning the ball over at a top-of-the-league pace. I think it remains to be seen if they've provided enough of an OL to keep Rodgers upright through much of the season, and of course, if Rodgers will make it through much of the season effectively. Maybe their offensive plan is a short passing offense and lean on the run game?

Apparently so. The Panthers have gone through what, 4 different HC (2 different hires) and 3 different GMs since Beane was there? Yeah we sent them Dan Morgan 3 years ago, and I'm sure he and Beane talk, but I'm also sure Beane talks to lots of guys around the league. This guy entered the league in 2016 and kicked around until he got a chance to start for Denver 4 years ago. He's seen significant defensive snaps since then, 41-52%, and has been available - missed 2, 0, and 1 game his last 3 seasons. Looks like he may have some positional flexibility, since he played RDE (in a 3-4, maps to DT for us) last 2 seasons but has previously played NT. Had 4.5 sacks, 8 QB hits and 4 TFL in Denver in 2022. He's basically their shot to upgrade on Tim Settle as DT depth. No clue why people are dissing this signing off, unless it's because as you say.... -
No, that's either or, not both. If we trade him after June 1, we get to defer $22M or so of his cap into next season. If we trade him between now and then, we eat the whole $33M or whatever it is, THIS season - assuming the trade partner picks up his $19M fully guaranteed salary, workout and per-game roster bonuses

I'm so sorry. RIP.

Selected comments: "Listen, I live in tornado alley. They go off so frequently you just gotta go outside to check the sky to see if there’s even any rain" "Honey, I’m from Oklahoma. It’s the song of my people." "It said tornado watch cause I’m supposed to watch it right?" "add,"without my beer and lawn chair" at the end of that sentence and you have a deal!"

Could be titled "Unlearning Dangerous Midwestern Habits" Also, I think other parts of the country may call them "Civil Defense Sirens" They're "Tornado Sirens" around here.
