  1. not going to comment on the Sabres race to the annual bottom 5 other than it must be embaassing for the Pegulas to report those anemic attendance figures to the league. Bills still have a shot, our expectations were too high given last years results and this years shortcomings and close losses....the NE game swung on 1-2 plays, the long run and our missed FG...
  2. I would bring Harry back next year as depth DT - not a starter we should have Star, ed, Harry and a 1 or 2 or3 round DT pick of size to study under Star for one more season
  3. big on their side too - see you Dec 26 - only hope it means something
  4. other than the first Miami it has been a quiet season for AJ - is he a backup going into next season ? Bigger question (and dolllars) do we need Hughes back for another season ? Addison no but Jerry ? McD and Beane going to have to prioritize the lines once again...
  5. didnt Dorsey get promoted to passing game coach-coord ? or not ? Meaning Daboll has the run game ? reading Joe B (athletic) this morning he talks this thru extensively and while he expects McD to give Daboll past this season to fix it, I am sure that plan will have to pass-fail with McD...
  6. Sanders productivity has taken a hit for several games now - the novelty has worn-off and vets like him and Beasley arent much of the gameplan or the play calls or the execution thereof ? he also blocks Davis ? any issue with next years WR corp: Diggs, Davis, Speedy, Kumerow (slot) Isaiah Mac ? plus a draft pick ?
  7. good points, also want to know how many snaps the nickel CB - T Johnson took ?
  8. yeah that missed FG was huge - caused us to go for the TD for the win rather than another FG at crunch time - another gut-wrenching shoulda-coulda-woulda loss to the evil empire...
  9. did Josh pass the test last nite as far as playing in a weather game in Buffalo...no picks, no fumbles, playing against rival- top D, they strayed from the passing game and went back to in the second half and he got us to the red zone 4 times overall, which bring up another-separate topic. Passing grade for his overall performance -10 points ? - likely hampered by O-line run-pass blocking more than the elements ? thoughts ?
  10. 1. the league adjusted to the Diggs-Allen scheme and made it harder overall by forcing the under passing game which as a younger-excitable qb Josh has had a hard time managing what is called versus what is available further hampered by the pressure that the O-line gives up too frequently 2. the run game is a secondary consideration - we have the swiss army knife stable of RBs who have different skills but not starter material to keep d honest and the run-blocking is not up to standard of making that happen this year 3. D-line - too light in the interior plus we play nickel D way too much with a 3rd CB on the field instead of a 3rd LB the most in the league - there is a reason we do this, but the good teams that have good lines and schemes exploit this.
  11. I was in the car listening to the Bills radio and Eric Wood (who odes a great job overall) mentioned safety blitz - middle was open that is what Josh likely read and locked-into as he was short on time with the blitz and Pats defender dropped a bit deeper into the middle and batted it...
  12. the theme continues...sigh
  13. AJ Klein - COVID protocol - OUT - have not had same 3 linebackers available since game 5 - per WGR radio (Schopp and Bulldog)
  14. for a decade plus, Tomlin benefitted from a franchise qb, some very good OL and WRs, and excellent D...now he does not or not as good so he is exposed, add some overdue improvements in CLE and CIN and he is now a mortal
  15. so two coaches who won super bowls are rated at the bottom along with 2 rookies and Judge who likely gets fired... good to know McD making better in-game coaching decisions for sure...but what I dont get is why Bills are often in the top 10 or 5 (this season) as far as penalties, and its the vets who are repeat offenders when McD often says zero tolerance for non-aggresive (holding, Offside, unsportsmanline, etc) so those are on the position coaching, inability-lack of talent ?
  16. when/if this happens it will automatically spawn an thread on this portal of higher thought on the topic of whether we should sign him given Beaners past attempt...
  17. an important stretch of games - NE-Bucs- Car in between- NE road- these are critical to our playoff placement-aspirations-etc, too much downtime in between last game and this MNF games has Bills fans over-anxious and bored and over-analyzing the recent past...hoping for the best
  18. Trent Brown their RT is 6-8 and 380 - that is about the biggest OL I have ever heard of
  19. it was our off-season review-feedback from coaches that we were too light in the trenches as far as dealing with the D running game last season, so Star comes back + and we draft two DEs to improve the pass rush and sign another Carolina (of course) DE...so did we effectively deal with issue ? Yes and No...No because no interior size or talent added other than the return of Star, and yes because we expect edmunds and everyone to play a better scheme based on continuity which btw isthe secondary improvement to the O line other than the better-than-expected play of Brown, who as RT will have his hands full of Judon (10,5 sacks) who likely plays the right-side to edge rush and contain Josh in the pocket for the interior push to sack...we shall see down this key stretch of games with the Pats and Bucs and whether or not we make playoffs and further the off-season as far as what they do with the lines which is where they invest picks (D) and money (O)...speaking of which what the hell happened to D Williams and his fine 2020 season at RT has become a liability at same position this year ? Not even bringing up Cody Ford who hased on his size, draft slot and position should be mauling-physical but appears to be too slow...
  20. another week and another weak overall performance by the O-line against injury-riddled Saints D line...regarding Knox, anything he gives us for blocking is a bonus, also his surgically repaired hand his swollen-puffy as shown on the post-game TV interview on NBC, so what can you expect from him regarding blocking with that condition hampering his strength and push, etc
  21. or loose and beat NE the next time and have NE loose to someone else...entirely possible that we could still win the div if we loose at home on MNF...persish the thought...lets go Buffalo
  22. sorry - thanks for that - I skipped the pandemic year I guess
  23. yep - last season home game against Pats - blocked punt was decisive - and Haack seems more susceptible to blocks than Bono tho he seems to be a better holder for Bass...
