  1. Cook's TD run was incredible. He ran through 4 Chiefs to get in the endzone.
  2. You know, now that you mentioned it, I seem to enjoy the Chiefs being 9- 1 now, more than the Bills being 9-2. 🤔
  3. Is it okay if I feel a little sad because this win means some former Dolphins get to celebrate?
  4. Just curious.... did any of them work out for the Bills?
  5. Dion Dawkin's kid hacked into the Bills' X account again.
  6. I watched the game on TV at a bar with my brother who now lives in Florida. First time we have watched a Bills game together in over 40 years. Before the kick, he was like, "What are they doing?? Punt the ball! If he misses, Miami has the ball and only needs a few yards to kick their own game-winning FG!" I was like, "Do you think having to kick it 61 yards will improve his accuarcy?" I was right. He was wrong. What an idiot. It'll be 40 more years before I sit down to watch a game with him again! 😁
  7. Our players just need better nicknames. How about "Butter" Cook, "Maker" Shakir, "Green" Oliver, or "Around the" Benford?
  8. I just read about this today" "Researchers have identified a potential new sign of concussion in athletes, particularly football players, that can easily be spotted on the field, indicating the need for immediate removal from the game and evaluation for potential traumatic brain injury (TBI). Spontaneous Headshake After a Kinematic Event (SHAAKE) refers to the rapid, back-and-forth head movement athletes exhibit following a blow to the head. This voluntary motion typically occurs within seconds to minutes after impact and is a familiar response in athletes. In a recent survey, 7 out of 10 adult athletes recalled making this movement after a collision, and three out of four times they attributed this back-and-forth head movement to a concussion. The association was strongest among football players, who reported that over 90% of SHAAKE episodes were associated with a concussion. The results were published online on October 23 in Diagnostics." I thought this was interesting. I will be watching for it in future games. Now, granted, this is only to assist in diagnosing a concussion. It does not address when to clear someone to play football again, if ever.
  9. Absolutely. If you don't harass the QB, it's just a 50/50 ball in the end zone. What coach would want those odds when defending?
  10. Steve Young, anyone?
  11. I forgot to put my Bills flag up until half time. Smooth sailing after that...
  12. Best joke of the thread! 😄 Nailed it!!
  13. Impersonating a Pass Rusher? 😉
  14. I don't mean this as a slam on Morris or as a joke, but could the drugs play a part? I would imagine playing while on cocaine can make one jittery, quick, and elusive. I've often wondered...
  15. I'll take a contrary position. I think fumbles can be an exciting part of football. Whether it is advanced by the offense or recovered and returned by the defense, it is a big play. I like big plays. The Holy Roller play was a bit excessive, but it was a big play at the time and is still talked about decades later.
  16. I personally was surprised that Tua lowered his head and went head first into the defender, especially given his concussion history. He had already made the first down. Seemed like an unnecessary risk.
  17. Dolphins are garbage Suck suck suck suck suck suck suck Bills win tomorrow (I'm not good at haiku... was that enough sucks?)
  18. This is true, but only to the extent that an innocent person would know they are lying.
  19. From what I have heard, the department has already put the officer on administrative assignment. That part of the investigation has already started. I also read that Hill was issued two citations. That will end up in court if not plead out. Hill can also sue the police if he believes his rights were violated. I don't think this is over by any means.
  20. If the police can articulate that the driver "failed to obey a lawful order", he can be yanked out of a car and arrested. Whether he was issued a lawful order will be debated.
  21. I agree this was a pissing match between Hill and the officers. One the officers will almost always win. Some officers are badge heavy. These appear to be this type. Whether they acted within the "range of reasonableness" will be up to the courts and/the department, if it gets that far. I believe officers like this damage the credibility of police everywhere, but they don't often lose in court.
  22. In Graham vs Connor, the US Supreme Court established what has become known as the “objectively reasonable standard” when it held that “the ‘reasonableness’ of a particular use of force must be judged from the perspective of a reasonable officer on the scene, rather than with the 20/20 vision of hindsight. This could be enforced by civil or crimninal courts. That said, each police department can establish its own (more restrictive) Use of Force standards for its internal policy. As you said, that would be enforced by personnel discipline actions.
  23. Just a point of law: You need just reasonable suspicion to pull a vehicle over. You need just reasonable suspicion to detain a person. You need probable cause to search a vehicle. In my opinion based on what I have seen on video and what has been reported, they had reasonable suspicion to stop the car and reasonable suspicion to detain the driver. They did not have probable cause to search the vehicle.
  24. At least he doesn't get a 15 yard penalty for hitting his own teammates. 🤦
  25. Hence the, "Super Bowl Halftime Acts That Will Never Be" 😉
