  1. Wait until the first incomplete pass in the 2024 season!
  2. You’re just too smart for us, on a different level, I’m sure NFL front offices across the country would love to have you under contract!
  3. All I can say is 1968, 1970, 1971, 1976, 1977, 1984, 1985; horrible drafts etc etc. I would trade all of those years for 13 seconds. I guess the years since the mid 60’s gives me a different perspective on things in 2024. Of course I want to see a SB win as much as Anybody but I’m not ready to throw the towel in or throw temper tantrums when we have a perennial playoff team!
  4. Before TBD AOL had a Buffalo Bills Bulletin Board, 1995 - 1999; it was great. Great people, great posts, great insight, and pretty cool camaraderie. Lots of Flutie - Johnson debate without the emotion you see in current environment!
  5. The clapping thing kills me, sorry whoever started and prolonged it deserves special recognition! Come on, whoever heard of a football coach clapping on the sidelines - keep his hands in his pockets, give players the finger, scratch his butt, so many other ways to cheer on his team. This one knocks the “fire everybody” gang well into second place!
  6. You have to admit, you provide lots of ammunition with your posts!
  7. Great post! Probably about ten that I read automatically because they are good, insightful, and like me, been around since the beginning - "football fans." Probably about five that I read due to being predictable, almost like a game. Then those who view as the Bills as entertainment, they want long bombs, have no appreciation for defense, the ground game to win the game, they want the Arena Football point explosion, followed by some dancing, and once an incomplete pass is thrown, Bills dont win by 40 points or they lose it become pure mayhem and "fire everybody!" I remain selective for various reasons however, not living in Buffalo TBD remains a great source of Bills information.
  8. Please get back to your "Fire Everybody" rants, much more easy to figure out. I have never heard or read anyone state Reich better than Kelly, if so, kind of like claiming Diggs better than Andre.
  9. Turn me on to whatever your smoking!
  10. Not carrying anything, just find it odd how many keep carrything the Diggs torch, like Sammy Watkins. Years after his departure many kept posting about him. Bill Polian once said, in the mid 80's, the Buffalo Bills kept players well past their prime simply because they were fan favorites! And it hurt the team for years. Go find a "Doctor Phil," get over it! Yup!
  11. Poor, poor Stefan, so misunderstood!
  12. Watch the old AFL broadcasts with Curt Gowdy and Charlie Jones, they made the game truly entertaining!
  13. 88 Team and season pretty cool, you knew they were really back!
  14. The Raiders game few weeks later, down by ten, Kelly throws bomb to Lofton, Tasker picks up blocked punt for TD and Odomes pick six.
  15. The best food I ever ate - family restaurants on Oliver Street, North Tonawanda; and they were all family friendly!
  16. Joe Ferguson had class and character!
  17. Great post, remember the tavern thing ha ha!
  18. The 1980 team is one of my all time favorites. With you on the dome thing, hate them!
  19. My family bought season tickets in 1960 until the 1990's, I watched the "Quarterback Club" that often featured Buster Ramsey going off and the men of the family loved it. Listened to the 1963 Bills - Pats playoff game in a blizzard. Attended my first games at the Rockpile in 1966, both against the Chiefs, both losses, including the the First AFL Championship game to determine who would play the NFL in the World Chapionship. In 1967, the Bills played the Lions in Detroit, first pre - season game against the NFL and weeks later the Eagles came to the Rockpile and it was like a playoff game, sold out stadium, both teams played starters all the way through and Tom Flores and Art Powell (Lamonica Trade) were on fire connecting all night. Late in the third Quarter Flores got hurt and in came Jack Kemp to loud thunderous boo birds. First play he dropped back and launched a 69 yard bomb to Dubenion for a TD turning boo's into a standing ovation. I was priviledged to watch every AFL Team in the Rockpile. I loved the old AFL, so it was a combination of family, friends, the Bills, the AFL and the times that got me hooked. Players were just regular guys back then, they came to our school to play basketball against the faculty and you got to meet them and talk to them. Marty Schottenheimer used to play Ueker at a local tavern and a friend got a lift from John Tracey, it was a community thing. Here I am sixty years later still at it, would not change anything. I've had world wide Bills experiences, some pretty odd. My final thought: 1968, 1970, 1971, 1976, 1977, 1984, 1985 (if needed google those seasons)! We have perrenial playoff team at the moment, remember the saying "Be careful what you ask for, you may get it."
  20. Great post, I would rather go 0 - 17 with good citizens as players than win a SB with thugs and criminals; and I have waiting since 1963 and my time is running out. Football, the Buffalo Bills are part of all of us but we all need to keep things in perspective!
