Daily on TBD I remember after a mid season loss someone posted “fire everybody now and hire Jim Harbaugh;” it was mid season! When someone pointed out it was mid season and Harbaugh was under contract the adamant response was to offer Harbaugh 50 Million! It can get crazy but it is also entertaining!

AFL East was, records still remain relevant and the Jets still 1968 World Champs despite the merger not taking place until 1970; I’m an AFL die hard - Remember the AFL!

BB is too dominant with a huge ego, he cannot/will not walk into an organization in any capacity without restructuring in his image then you have long term problems. BB is the GOAT, no argument but I would not go anywhere near him, great discussion on ESPN with the same conclusion.

Sorry, great post but he will be a dumpster fire (if) wherever he goes, I'm sure he will remain the shiny object. And the team he inherits will pay for years!

Last 1968 World Champs

Wonderful idea, in his 70's, he will tear apart the organization in his quest - maybe two good years and just because he is BB does not guarantee a SB then we go into total rebuild mold for who knows how long. The fast food generation at work!!!

The 1960's brought the "Great, the Good, and the Ugly." The 1964 Buffalo Bills won the AFL Title and would have beat any team from the NFL. The 1965 Bills won the AFL Title despite massive injuries, not sure how they would fare against the NFL, the great and the good. Ironic in that both teams won through a strong running game - ball control offense and dominant defense - would not go over with those on TBD who want a long bomb TD on everyplay in the 21st century. These teams were loved by the fans who truly identified with players and were happy with the win - defense, offense, or ST led! In 1968 we got the "Ugly," 1 - 13," nothing comparable to what fans complain about today, even through the drought years. Why we have drastically differing view points and react differently in 2024 to the many diverse views on TBD.

I have a couple friends who are die hard Patriot fans, they are in melt down and want the new HC fired even before the season begins! Never thought TBD could be defeated in the category!

You have no idea, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1976, 1977, 1984, 1985, horrible drafts throughout the 60's and 70's; the fire everbody crowd produced some great coaching changes (ha ha). Try sitting in the Rockpile in November with it cold, windy, wet and muddy with your team 1 and 9 competing for OJ. Ill take the four SB losses and the last five years and I think this team will win a SB (horrors optimist).

Many realists on TBD, there are those who post that I go to automatically, very insightfull, honest and thought provoking and at times I dont agree but they are realists! And they are not only knowledgeable but have deep respect for the game.

Seriously, it is, the first reaction to an incomplete pass, a game won but not a blowout or a loss and you get this! Right on!

As always, great post and synopsis. I have been a fan since 1963 and in addition to the four SB losses, 13 seconds and all the other disappointments over the last sixty years, five minutes after the game or season is over I'm on to something else. To me, the start of the Fall season, school, football, cooler weather and leaves changing color are all wrapped in one and a way of life. If the Bills are 0 - 16 I will still watch week 17 and once complete be waiting on the next one. Would love to win a SB but it does not consume me. Ah the internet and social media age!!!!
