Yea, it seems like something is up there about Trixie and not being in the Jem...maybe he bought her freedom? But that would have been an interesting story line to see. Is Al on his way out of Deadwood in a pine box with all his health problems?
-
Trixie had a rifle, not a shotgun, and it was pointed at Swaringer IMO.

Yo, Micheal, I want to see the Neverland ranch and play on your ride. Yes, of course I'm 12.

Thursday Morning - Buffalo News Reports...
FTW_BillsFan replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It looks like TD is pretty happy with the 'talent' that we already have lined up for the OL this year. With that in mind, it looks like the draft will be wide open and can take the best available at those picks. Like our 1st pick in the 2nd.....Nugent. Lindell is our kryptonite. Also, how may yrs are left on Teague's contract? If we really plan to move him to LT, maybe we should sign him to an extension now for around the same money. -
Its a lot of speculation right now...

I like the idea of DTerrell as the 3rd WR. I bet we could get him on the very cheap and with him being the 3rd he will have no pressure and hopefully could excell some. -
Who's lying? I would have done a screen capture if I knew how...

Anyone still playing this game? It's addictive. I got multiple boosts at one time and hit 10657.19. You should have seen how fast the screen was scrolling by.... For the Low 87degrees, 2% for 0.04m. I would like to see who could get the shortest w/ power above 80%....

Yes, Deadwood is an awesome series. I really got hooked last year and this first episode didn't disappoint except that it wasn't long enough. : ) Speaking of another HBO series. Does anyone watch Carnivale? I was wondering if this year is the last season of Carnivale and did anyone watch it after Deadwood? Jonsey and the tar-n-feathering he got? I never thought about it before, but if the tar was boiling hot, that would have been extremely painful...

I agree that Evans probably won't be ready at that time, but EM's cap number is going to be worse than it was this year. I don't want to see EM go, so I guess we shall see how it goes. -
Change 4) to Jerry Rice (early years, not now).

Complete Combine Wonderlics
FTW_BillsFan replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've taken some of those Wonderlic practice tests on the web and most of the time I get 3/4 of them right in the time allotted. That should be good for at least a 30. This test just shows if you have problem solving skills. -

I think TD is a shrewd GM and if he could get PP back at the right price I think we would consider it. Plus, if he thinks that EM will not restructure his contract to be more cap friendly, I think it would be in TDs best interest to get a WR in here that can be a #2 to Evans now. NC is a different story. I think that could really depend on if he likes Buffalo or not. Like jennings, he never wanted to be here, but it's the almighty dollar that is followed most of the time. If TD thinks Nate is needed, he might break the bank for him. -

I wouldn't mind getting PP back in the fold, for the right price that is....what maybe around 2Mil/season? He already had his payday and teams found out he isn't a #1. Now, if we get PP, we can then put pressure on EM to restructure his contract next year to a more palitable number for the salary cap. If not, (hate to say this), then cut Moulds and that could give us enough room to sign Clements for sure. Evans 1, PP 2, 3? -
I hit 3719.50.

Is this a typo? This could be the reason why TD isn't so active in FA... They only have us $652,000 above the cap... should it be 6,520,000? Thanks. Cap Page

BILLS FINALLY LOOKING AT SOMEONE~!

Will this help Lindell with his FG kicking?? -
With the salary cap the way it is, it looks like TD is going to go the 'cheaper' route and that means waiting (about 2 weeks or even June 1 cuts) for the initial signings of players get out of the way and TD will start sifting through the remaining players out there to try and fill the holes that the team currently has. These guys might not necessarily be upgrades, but they will be serviceable players to fill the position. Also, another reason to be frugal is that IMO TD really wants to resign Clements this or next year, and to do this he will need the salary cap space to sign him. With that in mind, he couldn't pay Phat Pat and JJ because it would have then made it almost impossible to keep Clements. Out of those 3 players I would want to keep Clements anyways. TD always needs to keep the future in mind for the Bills. We can all talk about how we need a guy this year, but TD *hopefully* is keeping a watchful eye 2,3 years down the road. I think that TDs master plan still hasn't been fulfilled yet. It would be to have enough depth from drafting (having players already in the wings waiting) and frugal free agent pickups that if a player doesn't want to play at what TD considers a good cap friendly contract then that player can hit the road. I think TD is still bringing up the talent level for the team up to that. When he first got to Buffalo he had to purge alot of players because of Butler's cap economics and bit the bullet salary cap and player personnel wise. Breakdown of team and hopefully what will happen. Starter, Reserve QB Losman, Matthews? RB1 McGahee, Henry? WR Moulds, Aiken WR Evans, ? WR Reed, ? TE Campbell (Hurt), Euhus (Hurt) LT ? LG Ross C Teague RG Villarrial RT MWilliams Backups: McFarland, Sobieski, LSmith. LDE Kelsay, Denney DT Adams, ? DT Edwards?, Anderson RDE Schobel, Ritzmann SLB Posey, Stamer MLB Fletcher, Haggans WLB Spikes, Crowell CB Clements, K Thomas CB McGee, J Greer SS Milloy, Wire, Prileau FS Vincent, Baker P Moorman PK Lindell Looking over the positions, we need a backup QB, RB (when Henry leaves), WR, TE (possibly), LT, OL help, DT, CB, PK. That's 9 positions that is would be helpful to upgrade or at least have someone man the position. So, putting them in order I would have to go LT, OL help, CB, PK, RB, WR, DT, QB, TE. 1) I think the trade for Shelton is going to go to Buffalo. No team is offering AZ more than a 6th round pick for Shelton and Buffalo is more than going the extra mile than any other team. We could also pick up their other RT for a 5th (I read that somewhere). So this should solidify the line some. 2) Alot of people are talking that the LG position needs an upgrade. We will either get a journeyman to compete or start and get a player out of the draft for depth. 3) A CB is needed in the draft for depth and to take Clements place if he bolts. 4) PK - I really like Nugent in this spot. He would solidify this team, IMO. 5) RB - Draft a RB for reserve. 6) WR - Cheap journeyman and/or later draft pick. 7) DT - A cheap journeyman to put in the rotation or a late draft pick/street FA for depth. 8) QB - Hopefully Shane Matthews will be the backup. If not, we will get a journeyman. 9) TE - I think we are going to be ok at the is position, but it might not be bad to bring in someone to compete for the job w/ the others.

Clump, did you see my comments at the top? I think knowing how many years are left on the players contract would be very helpful. Your thoughts? Thanks. -

bumpage. Also, thanks for the explanation Labatt. -
Interesting concept. I guess that would work, but I'm not sure the fans would like the ups and downs so much. If you win a SB then ok, Indy isn't going to win a SB. Their defense isn't good enough and the teams that are well balanced can stop Indy. And just because you spend alot (Tennessee) doesn't mean you will win. I would think what is best for the franchise would be to manage the cap as best as possible and stay flexible (under the cap). I really like what Philly has done by creating cap room (clumps Philly article reference). Someone needs to tell TD about that.
-
Yea, but Butler put us in cap jail and look at where Polian is at in Indy. It won't be long before Indy is in/already in cap jail. TD has to flex his muscles and keep us fiscally sound or we will be in big trouble. I don't think they necessarily have the respect of the players. Butler just gave them what they wanted. Wouldn't you be happy and back that person up if you got tons of money from them or would you say 'damn you Butler for overpaying me'.
-
Clump, First, I just want to say thank you for all the hard work that you put into the salary cap page for the Bills. I find it very useful. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. The last 2 columns of the cap table cannot be read on my browser (Netscape) because the table goes past the white background into the blue background. Lastly, do you think it would help anyone if you could list how many years are still left on a players contract or something to that effect. In your article you said that Moulds added an extra year to his contract to spread the amoritization of his new bonus over an extra year. It would be interesting to know how many more years that players are under contract for. Your article/breakdown of the Bills was a good read. From your article I took out of it that even though we have cap room, we are still very close to the wall when it comes to salary. Again, thanks for keeping us updated on the Bills cap.
