cancer, but if we could get him for the minimum would he be worth it? He wouldn't have any pressure on him being the 3rd WR so he could just come out an play. Is he worth the risk?

Is JP worth a #9 pick in a draft?

What do YOU expect out of Losman...?
FTW_BillsFan replied to mtdoak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO, we are going to run, run, run the football and put Losman in good positions to make plays when needed. I hope that MM somewhat takes the reigns out of his hands for the first 5-6 games and win or lose we run the ball ALOT and have him throw only about 15-20 times, ala Roethisberger last year. Use the Special teams and defense to keep the other team down and win close games 17-14. Once he gets the feel for Live NFL action we start opening up the offense and getting more of a 50/50 ratio of run/pass. I also expect to see alot of screen passes this year. Short, easy dumpoffs that can make big gains. -
2005's break out player will be?
FTW_BillsFan replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1) Nugent 2) Schobel 3) Fletcher -
Oh, I thought Balt didn't match. Cleveland could be a dark horse then because they didn't get Taylor.

1. Chicago is out of the Shelton race because they have their Oline wrapped up. 2. IF Chicago offered a 2nd round pick for Shelton DGreen would have to change his underwear because he would have sh-- himself... 3. AZ is running out of teams for Shelton and their other tackle they are trying to trade. 4. Buffalo on the other hand, has Chicago, Arizona, Tampa Bay, Miami, and don't be surprised Baltimore as suitors for TH. 5. AZ is smoking crack if they think we are going to give other draft picks other than 6th or 7th rounders. Shelton and swapping 2nd is a small price to pay for TH. 6. I would take a Chicago's 2nd rounder for TH. 7. TH is cheap next year 1.5 Mil.

BIlls want Shelton & a pick or swap 2nds
FTW_BillsFan replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure about throwing in another pick unless it is a 6th or 7th. TD thinks TH is more valuable than Shelton and I have to agree with him, but I don't know what is the difference in value between the 44th and ?? pick... Does anyone have the value of draft picks breakdown? I know I've seen it on here before. -
1 -> We get rid of TH and hopefully get a draft pick(swap 2nd's or 4th round pick?). 2 -> The price of Shelton 3Myr/ for 4 years is great for a LT. On the open market who knows what kind of yahoos will overpay for Shelton.

FTW_BillsFan replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I personally don't see why AZ doesn't just throw in the swapping of 2nd round picks. They still get a 2nd round pick for god sake. It's not like we are swapping our 3rd for their 2nd or anything. It's a 11 pick swap. If they can't do that to get TH, then let him ride the pine next year for us. -
Bonds will not pass Ruth or Aaron. In fact, I think he will retire because MLB will/has/is put pressure on Bonds to retire so the most prestigous record in sport will stay intact. Bonds has already tainted the 1yr home run record (McGwire too). MLB will not let him taint both.

Don't forget Nugent!!! TD put up a major smokescreen w/ the Lindell comments earlier this week. -
You would think it's a good thing not to have an ACL. How can you hurt something that you don't have?

It you believe Scouts player rankings

Would we be able to get JTaylor under the cap? Me might have to throw in MWilliams to even out the numbers. Oh, and we keep our #1 for next year. -

Damn straight, except we will not get the long snapper....he will be picked before our 3rd round pick. -
What we really need to do is make sure we have enough cap room to make him a franchise player and get something out of him. A 1st or 2nd rnd pick for him would be worth it. Personally, I would rather resign him, but we need to get whatever out of him that we can...

Has anyone taken Sproles?

I would bet Al has kidney stones and it's very painful for him to piss. The thumb up the rectum is probably some old time remedy for stones. I also loved him giving the lecture while getting a shining.

Damn it!!!! I just hit 10842.53. I thought I was going to catch you for sure.

Economic Impact of the Bills on Erie County?
FTW_BillsFan replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
115M back in 96'. So, nine years later we can assume that it is still 115M? I would guess it is more around 175M by now just because of increases in prices from 96 to now. Also, you can NEVER put the impact of the Bills for all of WNY just as an economic indicator. 1) They are the heart and soul of WNY. You can't say that about the Sabres.... 2) Think about all the free publicity that Buffalo gets for every highlight or just mention of Buffalo on the television. Plus, doesn't alot of Canadians come down for games? Is that figured in also? 3) Buffalo Bills fans are very close. I can't tell you how many times I would see someone with a Bills cap or shirt in KS/FL/TX and you can always start a good conversation talking about the Bills. It's a special common bond. 4) The suicide rate would probably double in WNY....did anyone take that into account. Finally, someone better get those lawmakers/politicians in line. There is a very big metropolitan area in CA called LA that the NFL would love to have any reason to move a small market team (The Bills), into the #1 TV market in the US. Pull your heads out of your asses politicians..... -
From the Donahoe talk.... Bryan Ault (Alexandria, VA): As fans, we do not have a lot of confidence in Rian Lindell's distance and we think he puts additional pressure on the offense to get closer late in close games. How do you intend to address the kicking situation in the off-season? Thanks for your time. TD: Our philosophy as an organization is to always try to improve the team in all areas. Sometimes, however, you should watch what you wish for. Rian Lindell improved as much as any player on our team last year compared to the 2003 season. He ended the year near the top of most statistical categories in the NFL. For example, in 2003 he was 17-of-24 kicking field goals for a total of 75 points. In 2004, he was 24-of-28 on his field goals for 117 points. He also lost two long field goals last year when we called timeout prior to the kicks which he made. Rian is improving and has done a very good job under the direction of Bobby April. We expect him to take another step this season as our kicker.
