There was nothing Sean McDermott could have done defensively to stop the Chiefs. We were down to our 3rd, 4th and 5th string LB. Rasul Douglass wasn’t himself. They were just too banged up at too many key positions and Mahomes/Reid took advantage of it. That game had to be won upfront. The defensive line was our best unit all season and they were a total no show

They had the wrong guy running the ball on the fake punt. I wasn’t expecting it and the Chiefs weren’t either. The play was just ran poorly. That point in the game McDermott had zero faith in the defense to get a stop.

Man just once I want to see our defense healthy with all are top guys playing in the playoffs. Past two years we’ve been killed by the injury bug. We were playing our 3rd 4th and 5th string LB’s against Mahomes.

Agreed man. I’m a huge Diggs fan and I’m completely disappointed in how he finished this season. I don’t want to hear crap about double teams. WR1 studs still find ways to get open and make an impact. All that moaning and groaning he did last offseason just for him to come out again and be a non factor in yet another playoff game is something I can’t rock with.

I’m definitely upset but I knew going into the game that playing Mahomes with all the injuries on defense was going to be tough are only hope was hopefully getting pressure on him and forcing him into mistakes and it didn’t happen. The defensive line was our strongest unit all season and they were a no show and it cost us.

Yeah well they gotta keep drafting them til they get it right. One of most important positions in football.

Defensive End is probably a bigger need than WR IMO. Zero sacks on Mahomes and only 2 QB hits They need a playmaker on the edge. Von Miller is old. Greg Rosseasu hasn’t lived up to his draft status and Floyd/AJ might leave in FA

Our defensive front fails us every year in the playoffs. Especially against the elite QB’s. I’m not a fan of rotating the lineman in the playoffs. Find your best 4 and get after the damn QB. They are the biggest reason we lost today. No sacks. 2 QB hits. They did nothing to make Mahomes uncomfortable

I really don’t know what more McDermott can do to beat this team I really don’t. This game had to be won up front and the defensive line once again failed to make Mahomes uncomfortable. No sacks. Only 2 QB hits. With the injuries to the LB’s and in the secondary we were already at a disadvantage. 3 times vs. Mahomes Once vs. Burrow Whenever we play the elite QB’s our front can never get home. EVER

McDermott had zero faith in the defense. He confirmed it in the presser but that call in that point of the game was idiotic. Better off just going for it

Depends on the injuries. I don’t think Bernard will be back in time for this game which is a big loss especially having to deal with Kelce and Pacheco. Hopefully Douglas and Taron Johnson can play if we down either of those guys or both, It’s going to be tough. Key to the game is going to be our Dline and Josh. Can they get pressure on Mahomes?? They haven’t been able to put any pressure on Mahomes the last two playoff meetings and he’s killed us. If that happens a 3rd time I don’t see us winning. If Mahomes is on point, is Josh going to stay disciplined long enough to not play hero ball. When Josh is pressing..that’s when the bad Josh comes out. If we can get pressure on Mahomes and Josh plays another clean game we win.

Going to a top program like Bama, he gets the opportunity to basically reboost his resume. It wasn’t working at UB so he downgraded to upgrade to a better job later down the road. Hopefully the AD at UB gets the next HC right.

Can’t stand Tony Romo. He has a comment for every little thing and talks down to the audience like people don’t know football. He’s Mr. Captain Obvious. I prefer Greg Olsen.

Not assuming anything. Pittsburgh is very tough and has come in our house and beat us before.

Harbaugh should stay at Michigan but Oakland is the obvious choice if he does go to the NFL

He can’t keep losing the turnover battle though. If Josh can play clean football with the way this defense is playing, they are easily the best team in the AFC.
