Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Toyo321 replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Browns & the Ravens will go down in NFL history for paying the most money ever spent for two starting QB's that will never even sniff a AFC championship game, much less a super bowl, for the remainder of their careers in the NFL. They both were not even in the top 8 Quarterback conversation thread on this message board, and they are both seriously over rated. -
It really boils down to this, will Buffalo learn from its last two years. How they have failed and how they have been exposed. The Jets have made up a ton of ground going into this 2023 season. Buffalo has been exposed by teams that can get rid of the ball quickly and complete passes in the 10 to 25 yd window. Rodgers and Tua both excel at this. Even Cinci did it to us too, in the suspended game and in the playoffs. We got shredded with the 10 to 20 yard passing by Burrow. I can't tell you how many times in the last two years that this team has failed to force the team off the field with 3rd and 8 to go. No Quarterback pressure at all on the opposing teams QB in these situations. The Jets did get teams off the field in these situations. We have had so many blown coverages and piss poor tackling. it was unreal how bad our D played in these situations. That is one reason I am so glad Tremaine is gone. He made tackles but he was liability sometimes on tackles when they absolutely had to be made. To many missed tackles by him and the rest of the secondary. Our offense is no longer the the dominant or elite in this division anymore. Kincaid is a plus but we can't even utilize the TE we already shell out 14 Million a year for. Rodgers is going to make a huge difference on that Jets team. Anyone saying anything else to the contrary, is delusional. The Jets D is better than our D, and they had a better draft. Their head coach is a better Defensive coach than McD is. Also McD is now having to perform 2 coaching functions when he could barely get the head coaching part of the game figured out. We do not have the best OC in this division and it showed last year. Regardless if it was just year 1 with Dorsey, the play calling last year was horrendous. Josh Allen has to get his head out of his butt. There were games that he played well and then there were games that he played like complete crap. He missed to many open receivers because he was constantly trying to push the ball up the field and it was not the best option when the game film was broken down and reviewed. His interceptions are a liability and this team has not improved enough to overcome these mistakes again this year. We completely under utilized our TE and RB's in the short game. Josh missed throws, under-thown, over-thrown, thrown behind the receiver. It happened in every single game and you did not need to be a coach to see how bad the passes were even on tv. When you would rewind the footage and watch it again, if it were not for some unreal catches by Digg's, Knox and Davis, Josh would have had even more Int's than he totaled last year.. He is not going to get better unless Dorsey and him can utilize the weapons the team currently has in this roster. Digg's can not be the only goto option anymore. It is yet to be seen if this rift between him and Josh is something to worry about or its old news. I can only hope that Tua does not have a year where he gets "Grade A" pass protection. Not to state the obvious, but when this guy has time to throw the ball he is as accurate as anyone in the league.
-
Because Josh had to play like superman running all over the place dodging defenders for us to score those points. They are going to rein him in this year and Dorsey has no excuses that "hey we didn't know for sure" or "well if we would have just done this better", start making plays for the talent you have on O. Calling plays that give us the chance to the move the ball with out Josh running like his heads going to get chopped off would be a very welcome addition to this offense. Josh needs to stop playing hero ball before he gets hurt. It is only a matter of time if he continues to do that he will get injured for sure.
-
I also said "a position that we needed" to improve on. There are many more pressing positions of need on this team than at TE. Drew Sanders, Arkansas at LB was available and would have been a good match with Milano. And we just passed him up. Anton Harrison, Oklahoma would have been a great addition to the OL. Brian Branch, ALABAMA at Safety. There was a lot of talent left that we could have gotten and improved as a team. This pick is not going to make a impact with Dorsey as OC. We don't even utilize Knox to his full potential. Just bad drafting choices once again.
-
What a absolute waste of a draft pick. When is this team going to learn to take the best talent left on the board at a position of need on this team. How quickly Beane has forgotten how Cincinnati destroyed the OL in the playoffs. What a joke this guy is. Where is a player drafted for LB, OL, OT, S, CB instead we draft a TE when we already have a team and OC that under utilizes Knox on the current roster. This pick did nothing to make or keep Josh off his back this year. If you think this helps watch when they play the Jets or Dolphins and KC again this coming year. He is going to be running for his life again because, this team wants to use garbage overpaid underperforming free agents to man our entire OL. Unreal that Beane has lasted as long as he has, he is nothing more than a used car salesman, buying and trying to shine up garbage to sell to the public.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Toyo321 replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar has done everything in the book wrong. No team is going to deal with him now because he does not have an agent, and no GM or coach is going to want to hear a guy like this plead his case when he is shooting for completely unrealistic and over inflated contract numbers $ wise. Just like Lamer himself. He is is tooting his own horn and is so full of himself. He is a choke artist and IMO not even not a top 10 QB in this league. I absolutely hate every sports show and analyst out there that says pay the man. Pay him for what? He is average at best compared to his competing QB talent on other teams. He won a MVP, whoop dee doo, that is all this guy has done. His MVP year personally was nothing to write home about. He only received it because he ran all over the place that year. If he is "SO GREAT" why did the lose in the Divisional playoffs to the Titans. Lamar Jackson had a passer rating of 63.2 with 365 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions in 1 game against the Titans in the 2019 playoffs. As a matter of fact he has never had over a 74 QB passer rating in any playoff gave he has ever started. Yeah these type of playoff stats and performances warrants the highest guaranteed QB money ever!! LOL, smoke some more........ He played like crap in all the playoff games he started, and hasn't done anything in the playoffs for his team, accept for losing. -
I will wait for what happens after the 1st round of the draft. If he does not pull off getting one of the top 3 LB's on our first pick, this guy is deserves the boot and don't let the door hit you on the way out of OBD.
-
I really think this deal is going to fall apart. Green Bay is going to want two first round draft picks and the Jets are not going to give them that.
-
Hey wish him well. He always played hard for us.
-
I just hope Cook and Harris can take it to the next level this year. We need it...

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Toyo321 replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar has this delusion he is better than Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Tua, Dak, hurts and others I can mention. But when it come right down to it this guy has only one advantage, he can run better than the most of mentioned guys above, but just barely and he gets hurt more than these guys above as well. So in his delusions of grandeur he believes he deserves the most guaranteed money ever. Hate to burst you bubble pal but you are a 2nd rate passer and you always have been. If you couldn't run you would not even be starting as a 1st string QB. Sit your sorry ass down on the bench this year. You are not getting paid!! -

Actually the stars didn't align and were not needed by KC. KC is and was the better team last season, and the better coached team won the SB period! End of Story. They had the better OC, DC and HC last season. That to me makes them a better team over US last season. No luck or getting hot was needed by them. That coaching staff had KC ready to play for every playoff game, and they won the SB, they deserve that credit. We get McD "Mr. Clappy" and our team injuries made us look like a JV team vs the Bengals and Miami that was starting a practice squad QB in the playoffs. We barely won against Miami twice at home and would have lost that playoff game if Tua had started. We were not the team of destiny last year that everyone publicized. We were above average against the teams we played, and we struggled against really good teams that had any offensive talent and a competent DC on the opposite side of the field. Sorry but drinking all the Von Miller Kool aide and believing in the hype last year did not help, and the result was again was another loss with no AFCCG appearance. Takes a lot more than than just the stars aligning and luck to win a SB.

Beane has not done anything to write home about. Nothing special at all. There were some major moves by other teams yesterday and today that also improved these teams more than what we have done so far in FA. Time will tell after we see where everything lies after FA ends and after the draft. We still have not officially even addressed the DC job, that I hope is filled by some one else other than McD. We need a new influx of coaching insight when the D scheme is concerned, for us to to compete at a higher level this upcoming season. We played like crap in the playoffs on D this year. Yeah we had injuries but we played really bad down the stretch. We need a serious vetting on the D scheme this year. It has not paid off as McD and Beane expected it too, for the past 5 seasons. this D has been paper tigers only. Our D is all bark and no bite when we faced the better teams this past season.

Guy is not worth it. Tag him this year and trade and draft another QB this year or next year. -
We give way to much credit to McD and Beane. They both came from the Panthers & Eagles organizations that never won a Super Bowl while either of them were on these teams staff as a DC or assistant GM. So, until you get a GM and Coach with a actual Super Bowl winning pedigree, how can you expect them to win a super bowl for Buffalo ??? Pegula is truly being taken advantage of IMO. He so badly wants to believe in Beane and McD as his 2 main guys, to win a SB for him, he is blinded to what realistic expectations these two can deliver on, to a fault. There are much better GM and coaching tandems in the league that have turned around franchises in less than 5 years. Cincinnati is one of those teams. Neither one of these guys IMO will get us to a Super bowl, Beane especially, in the past five years he has put this team in worse financial CAP status then they have been in since Doug Whaley was running the show at GM. McD & Beane's FA talent assessment capability's are atrocious. Since 2019 with a $77.3 million in cap space, his only real talent contributions signed to this team, that have helped us for more than a single season can be counted on one hand. These are players that were not acquired via the draft. Poyer, Hyde, Diggs and Beasley. No one on the defensive line that Beane has signed has done squat for this team. They have all been average or below average at best, or a bust. Even the elusive unicorn "Von Miller" has been a bust. Why a bust you say??? He was was brought in to make a difference, get us over the KC hurdle, get us to a title game, get us a more dominate D-Line, get us to a SB, get us a SB win. Now the reality folks, he's injured and out until maybe Dec of 2023. God only knows when he suits up again as a starter for the Bills in 2023. He failed to do any of the above for this team last year and do you really believe a 34 year old player will accomplish these objectives for us this year coming off a ACL injury. We can't even beat Cincinnati much less KC. This move has been the biggest bust signing in this teams history and contract wise ever. Even eclipsing the Mario Williams contract and then some. Ughhh...... Yeah signing a 33 year old soon to be 34 year old guy to a unheard of 6 year $120 M & $69,960,000 guaranteed is just ridiculously stupid for one player when you already have JA 17's salary to contend with. Beane is Whaley 2.0, if not worse, like I said in another post. Since 2017 we have been elevated to just a post season playoff caliber team only with McD and Beane, 9 playoff appearances and we are 4-5 in those 9 games with no AFCCG wins. We are wasting JA's window to get this team a SB win. The clock is ticking, tic tock, tic tock........................... Yeah to all you Beane and McD lovers, you want how many more years of Beane and McD in charge at the helm for Buffalo? This all equates to a epic failure. NO SUPER BOWLS !!!!
-
Both McD and Beane both are treading in shark infested waters right now. They have had 5 years to get this right. You have had elite talent for most of those years and you have had it relatively easy with in your own division for quite a few years now. You have managed to find every possible way to lose in the playoffs and not go to the Super bowl. You have to start facing reality. The Eagles did a complete rebuild in 4 years and got to a Super bowl. KC in 2 years completely rebuilt their OL and had to bring in other fill in players and WR's and other key missing personnel and end result they won another SB. Even after letting Hill leave for Miami too. You seriously have to start looking at the GM and the Coach. They are both being portrayed as fictional saviors of this team. That they have made Buffalo a legit Super Bowl contender. Their legacy will be written this year, there is no telling how good or bad these guys will be. Trying to fix a team with serious holes with their starting talent, in 2023, because of lack of FA $ and the cap space. This all leads to losses and a decline for 2023. 1) OL broken, 2) Dline broken 3) WR# 2 & 3 are broken 4) LB core is broken 5) RB 50% broken 6) Safety position broken. It all adds up, and we now have no cap money at all. The cuts are going to be deep and detrimental. Frasier leaving is a blessing at this point. Any new DC for this coming year has to work with the the most depleted talent pool in a long long time. You can't work to replenish talent with with no money. You can only restructure so may contracts. You only have so many draft picks. Beane will need to pull a rabbit out of a hat to fix the mess this team is in now, largely due to his Irresponsible D line signings strapping this team again in cap purgatory. He is Doug Whaley 2.0. This entire D is vastly over paid underperforming talent. The entire front D line could walk as far as I am concerned. They are absolute garbage accept for Oliver and Rousseau. Beane keeps bringing in used discarded talent that underperforms, but we pay them more than any of these players prior teams would have paid them. No other teams would have offered this same talent the money that the Bills are paying these guys, period!!! Beane and McD are just a mirage that fools you into thinking you are seeing something but you really aren't. They are just as bad as a mirage in the desert. You think you keep getting closer to the Oasis but in fact you are just on a road to nowhere. That has been their performance and MO to date, we have been on a road to nowhere mixed in with some playoff wins, but no where near a SB appearance and the "holey grail " A SB win" Von Miller is not going to do jack to get this team to a super bowl. He is overpaid and he is to old to make a impact anymore. Beane had this brain fart to sign this guy and now he is coming off a knee ACL injury that will have him sitting out on IR for most of this upcoming season. I absolutely hated this signing because the money that was spent on him was sorely needed for this upcoming season 2023-2024 to replace people that were going to be gone due to FA. When you listen to this guy on his Pod cast its the same old thing, his old teammates and other players, its all about him and his money. Its not about the Bills. Its enough to make you gag an McD and Beane bought into his BS 110%. Unreal !!! I am not a person to look for all the negatives but we let a coach get away that is 10 times better than McDermott. Anyone questioning who Daboll was or what kind of coach he was, has not listened to the Giants players & their interviews that praised this guy till no end. All the commotion at the end of 2021 between him and McDermott was real. Because Daboll actually was doing his Job better as a coach than either Frasier or McD were at that time. He took the Giants from trash to playoffs in one season. Her turned D Jones into Josh Allen's- protégé. You don't hear any similar praises from our players about McDermott or Frazier. This writing has been on the wall for some time now and its there for everyone to see. People have figured out the Bills coaching on O and on D. Good teams have pushed our team all over the field and it has happened on a more consistent basis and the Bengals did it again. I have zero faith that McD will bring in outside coaching help at the DC position, but it is needed in the worst way. We are stuck in a rut on D and no end is in sight. McD, nothing against him, but he will never take us or any other team to a SB. That is a fact as bad as a lot of people don't want to hear it.

Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR
Toyo321 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
MC.D and Frazier have been in their own bubble spheres for too long. The last 5 years has been like watching paint dry, same old color, same old texture, same old crappy finish & outcome. It's time to burst the bubbles and get some new blood into our D scheme. If MC.D calls our D for us this entire year, then I can officially say...we are heading for a mess just like the past 4 years has been with our D. We have a special delivery for Mr. McDermott!! Clapping your hands does not win super bowls!!!! -
Poyer is not going to be resigned, he walks. To many other holes to fix and Micah is coming back anyway.

Trevon Diggs trying to get his brother in Dallas
Toyo321 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh all season long has been 50/50 with his passing. He throws balls that are ropes that the WR has to pry out of their chest. But then there are many balls that he threw that were behind the WR, over their heads or pathetically underthrown or flat out missed by yards and not even close. When you have a WR that has to contort his body to the point that they can't continue forward motion that is a problem. He has had this problem for two years now and this year it was worse than ever. -
The Bills are not equal or better than the Eagles team at any position, including players, coaches and team ownership. Sorry but that game today was proof. They destroyed the 49er's....It would have not mattered who was QB1 for the 49er's. Also Josh Allen can not be the entire team known as the Buffalo Bills. That model has show to be a losing philosophy. Since 2017 and counting the Bills are 4 and 5 in their post season games, that is all that matters, they are not championship caliber and never will be, with out a major coaching overhaul and personal change on the O line and D Line.

It’s obvious what ails the Bills, they’re softer than custard.
Toyo321 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
If anyone did watch the games today. It is seriously obvious that out D is outclassed, over rated, over paid and underwhelming. SF, & Eagles make our D look like college level D. We are softer than Charmin. Even KC in the AFC championship game, made huge strides to put Burrow on his ass and they played with a fire that our team completely lacks. The Offensive line is just as bad. Need some 325lb monster OT and Guards to put the other teams DT and DE on there ass. Out OL & DL is complete reflection of the ownership and coaching. Owners are passive and have no aggressive traits. Our Coach's are so gutless and always so unprepared. It is beyond any words at this point, and flat out they are garbage.
