  1. One of the worst facemask calls I've ever seen was in that game. Bruce Smith grabbed Esiason by the jersey and brought him down for a sack. Refs called a 15-yard facemask.
  2. It's easier said than done, but know that your trusted companion is now in a better place.
  3. he threw a mini-tantrum on Twitter about a month ago (in which he said that (a) he's not an anti-vaxxer....ok; and (b) he was done with Twitter for a year), and then followed that up with this masterpiece. He's going to be a distraction, and I can't imagine that Beane and McDermott are happy with Beasley's social media outbursts
  4. Sixteen Candles Hoosiers Goodfellas Silence of the Lambs American Pie Rocky IV
  5. fully expect the Browns and Titans - two of the off-season "winners" - to underachieve this season
  6. Never been, but I've heard great things about La Verdad. Southern Junction is excellent as well.
  7. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on Girard. I think his ball handling is subpar, especially against on-ball pressure. it's almost hard to believe how infrequently he breaks down a defense off the dribble. Who was the last "good" PG that stepped on campus and finished his college career at SU? We have 3 guards next year. Hopefully, none of them get injured. Edwards is decent - certainly no worse than a quality backup center. It was magical how he went from "not being ready" (JB's words) earlier in the year, to all of a sudden becoming a piece of the rotation. Sadly, JB's prowess in developing players didn't seem to take hold with Griffin and Newton. Marek was extremely important - he helped bring the ball up court at times because our PG couldn't. It was tough watching him getting bullied by bigger and stronger players because he was forced to play the 5. I thought that the kid deserved better.
  8. I think it's a case of poor roster management by Boeheim. I thought that it was odd to rely on a Center with chronic knee problems. Boeheim only played Edwards out of necessity...and it turns out that the kid could play after all. Dolezaj was most effective on both ends as a 4. At least that's my opinion. I question whether Girard is an average-level starting PG in the ACC, and it has nothing to do with his height. He has a really hard time beating guys off the dribble and I don't think he's a good decision maker. If I never see him take another 25+ footer, I'll be thrilled. Boeheim's affinity for Girard chased off the best PG we had at SU in quite a while.
  9. Disagree. Just looking at last year's team, Dolezaj wasn't his best as a Center, as Girard wasn't his best as a PG.
  10. His brother is a really good lax player at Duke.
  11. post-draft division odds: AFCE Bills -155 Dolphins +320 Pats +390 Jets +1500 AFCN Ravens +115 Browns +145 Steelers +420 Bengals +2300
  12. Yeah, I don't think barely beating the reigning worst team in the NFL (with a rookie QB) with a last-minute TD is anywhere near winning a close game in the WC round or winning a game by 2 scores in the divisional round.
  13. The Browns barely beat the Bengals last season in their 2nd matchup, after Burrow had a few games under his belt.
  14. I think that if the run game is stuck in mud, the Browns are done. Hell, Mayfield couldn't beat the Jets last year in Week 16, with the game on his arm.
  15. I think the Browns will have a tough time with the Bengals, too. Barely beat them last year, in Burrow's rookie season.
  16. are you new here?
  17. So many people on this forum defended that call by the refs. Are they going to post in this thread and admit that they were wrong?
  18. These are both great episodes. Thanks for the heads up! I haven't seen the Thurman Thomas episode anywhere, and I can't find it online. I'm hoping that one will be re-aired soon.
