Huh? In the Minnesota game, the Bills went up 27-10 with 1:51 left in the 3rd quarter. A mere 17 seconds later, Dalvin Cook ripped off an 81-yard TD run. And we'll all remember the 4th and 18 Justin Jefferson catch, on which play I'm not sure exactly what Cam Lewis was doing. Minnesota rolled up 480+ yards of offense. In the Hail Murray game, the Bills went up 23-9 with 9:52 left in the 3rd quarter, and fell behind 23-26 before the end of the 3rd quarter. AZ had 450+ yards of total offense.

Aside from :13 2022: loss @ NYJ (Wilson leads NYJ to late GW FG), VIkings debacle 2021: loss @ Titans (Tenn scores last 10 points, including winning TD with 3:05 left. This was the "Allen slip" game), OT Loss at TB 2020: Hail Murray 2019: loss @ CLE

And on the series of downs following the INT, the defense allowed a long TD on a 3rd and 15 play.

I think reasonable minds would agree that while the offense and ST were very bad that night, all the defense was to stop the Zach Wilson led-offense from scoring a TD. That night, he completed nearly 70% of his passes, for 10 ypc - compare that to his stats the next two weeks.

It was great having a defense that regularly stepped up in late & close game situations. Great!!!

People on this forum have pinned yesterday's loss on the offense and have said that the defense was "fabulous" yesterday. I think they were actually serious.

IMO, what it boils down to is that the defense didn't have a chance to blow those 3 games (BAL, DET & MIA).

I didn’t think that anyone could gloss over this latest gag job by the defense, but here we are.

In the first half, Hurts threw the ball away a number of times. The defense was applying pressure with the front four. It’s pretty clear that the Eagles made an adjustment at halftime, as they scored 5 times in the 2nd half and OT. The vaunted and expensive DL was ineffective after halftime. If the defense’s play was “fabulous” in your opinion, then I guess we have completely different definitions of “fabulous”
