  1. He is a basically a rookie GM. Just like Josh Allen, Bills ownership will give him time to grow. He will have growing pains but also the potential to be the best GM we have ever seen. He admits his mistakes, which is rare in the NFL. This guy some want fired, could have possibly drafted a franchise QB in his most recent draft. Keep in mind too that he moved up to pick #7 and still kept his second 1st round pick. They are building something special in Buffalo.
  2. One stud would turn those "good" players into "great" players, in my opinion. Do you think they need an elite DE or DT to improve the most? Where would Josh Allen - KY LB (14 sacks) play on this defense?
  3. He very likely has been talking like this since Pee-Wee football. He probably talked like this playing football in MS, HS, and college. If it is a part of his game, there would be no reason to change it now. That's how he plays...how he motivates himself and his teammates. Seems to be working his way towards putting a C on his jersey.
  4. Love it. Did the crowd react to the 1st down call or react to Allen trying to pump them up. I honestly don't think I'd want any other QB leading this team. Love this kid.
  5. When McDermott says "where's our 260 lb. QB" did you hear someone yell "yeah Barkley"? The whole team got a chuckle out of that. These young guys are awesome. Good mix of young guys and vets.
  6. The team obviously loves Barkley too. In McDermott's speech, he says "where's our 260 lb. QB" and someone yells "yeah Barkley" and the whole team chuckled. That's a good sign that Barkley is all in.
  7. That just tells me that next year the worm is going to turn. 1987 Buffalo Bills... 7 - 8. 1988 Buffalo Bills... 12 - 4.
  8. Anyone good at assessing OL play know how he did? Where did he play? RG? Josh seemed to have lots of time on the big plays.
  9. Oh! Awesome! Thanks WideNine!
  10. Can someone tell me who was speaking and what he said after Josh was called up? Love this team.
  11. I hope Allen can do this some day.
  12. I wonder how much the OL would improve if the Bills had a top OL coach.
  13. I still can't believe Elway did not draft Allen. His playing style reminded me of Allen. I thought all the Buffalo-Denver trade talk was Elway trying to keep Buffalo from going up higher to get Allen.
  14. Yes, Mr. Barnwell, I agree. Instead of making huge yardage and risk getting tackled, Allen should just stay put in the pocket and get smashed by DEs and DTs because the OL sucks.
  15. I was impressed with the Jets D Line. They were pretty dominant and if the QB would have been Anderson, Peterman, Barkley or someone like Bledsoe, he would have been killed. I think we need to improve the offense in the draft, but unless they get a pass rusher or other DL in free agency (is Frank Clark - DE - Seattle a FA in '19), then I think they need to look at DE or DT with the first pick.
  16. What does this mean? "continued to use Shurmur’s tactics".
  17. I'm not sure if it's McDermott or something else. Doesn't he let his coordinators make most of the decisions, except for time outs? My bigger question is, is there a possibility of Beane, without McDermott, or McDermott, without Beane? I expect them both to stay, and I actually think both are doing a good job. Get some more O talent, and then make a decision. But, would Beane stay on if McDermott was fired, or are they always going to be a combo?
  18. May beat the Lions, then last 2 games are against teams fighting for the playoffs. I'm guessing 1 - 2 the last 3 games.
  19. Would love to see Daboll stay + a new OL coach + a new QB coach.
  20. If you're looking for a Gronk, I think it would be Albert Okwuegbunam - TE - Missouri.
