I wonder if Clowney is the "will add an edge pass rusher" that was mentioned in the other thread? Houston GM Gaines and Beane do have a history together.
I think most educated fans know that you have to take the elite talent at #9 no matter if it is offense or defense. They have a whole bunch of picks that can be concentrated on the offense, and I expect they will be spending some FA dollars on OL, TE, and WR.
I don't want him at 9 or in a trade down. I want DL or OL. Then WR, TE, RB.
I know he was injured in 2018, which is another reason not to take him at 9, but I would want my 1st round WR to dominate in his games, and not just dominate the combine.
2016.... 2 Rec....13 yards....2 tds
2017.... 39 Rec.... 646 yards....7 tds
2018.... 26 Rec.... 569 yards.... 5 tds
Who do you want at 9, if they don't trade down? Ed Oliver DT is my hope, if they don't trade down. Would love to be able to get Oliver, Bradbury, and Risner, a RB, TE, and a few WRs.
He scares me. I can't help but think he will he often injured. I honestly hope someone else takes him before the Bills. He may end up being a HOFer, but I don't like WRs in the top 10.
I like him as a player, but I want to see the Bills keep their picks and draft their own guys. This guy also has suspension written all over him and the Jets have a boatload of cap space.
I am definitely potentially interested in hearing more about this. At least I think I am interested...I mean definitely, potentially, probably, maybe interested. I'm 50/50 on if I am definitely potentially interested in hearing more about it.
