Texans have a similar schedule where they played 3 teams they should’ve beat and one good team and they struggled mightily in every game even the wins -
Did Beane Fail Josh and the fan base?

How are you coming to that conclusion when half the games we have been winning by so much we don’t even pass in the second half 🤣 in the prime Diggs days we got absolutely destroyed by the bengals when we didn’t hold up in the trenches…I would wait to see how the next few weeks play out before jumping to conclusions -

This doesn’t get talked about enough…how can we say the bills coaching disappears in the later playoff rounds and give Diggs a free pass? I see the words can’t separate getting thrown around about our current wrs but Diggs wasn’t even doing that in the games that matter 😂 -

I don’t get this at all…unloading a player for picks that you’re assuredly going to lose in free agency in a few years who’s value might completely evaporate isn’t that crazy to begin with then on top of that you eat all his dead money the year where you’ve got another brutal contract that’s ending makes sense. before you even get to ‘was diggs hurting the team with diva-ness’ I can understand doing it -
Shakir and Oliver both out Sunday

Id be a lot more worried if they had two great corners. Yea I think something in the -2 range could def be justifiable. It just doesn’t feel like this huge uphill battle to me that some think it is anthony Richardson was basically rookie josh Allen in that Texans colts game and he gave them problems. -

I don’t think that better talent is allocated properly in this case if that makes sense. They’re loaded up at wr but need help in a lot of other areas. They’ve got good pass rushers outside but seem weak up the middle up front, none of their linebackers are particularly good, Lassiter is starting at corner and he hasn’t looked great so far. I think they’re gonna have a lot of trouble slowing Josh down/the running game we’ve gotten some good corner play so far and our safeties are pretty bad in pass coverage but even worse in run support so that could be worse lol they won’t have mixon. theres a lot of valid reasons why the Texans are struggling against bad teams despite having some big name skill position guys and a couple household name pass rushers I think we’ll get one of taron/terrell back too and possibly both -

The light blue highlights which seem like the whole point look awful to me haha the rest is fine -

Were focused more on our own team here obviously but this ‘they beat bad teams but lost to a good one’ criticism easily applies to Houston too and they didn’t look particularly good in any of those wins. the spread being that close makes sense…I wouldn’t be shocked if it gets closer to even if Bernard or t johnson are active doesn’t mean they won’t find it starting this week but Houston has been pretty underwhelming so far -
Week 5, Bills v. Texans, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man this has been the hardest game to predict in a long time. I think mcd is a bit of a wizard baffling young qbs and that Texans run defense looks gettable to me roster wise. Lassiter seems like he’s still learning the ropes at corner too that Houston defense reminds me a bit of the dolphins defenses that Josh has nuked. Assuming one or both of taron/terrell play I don’t think we get a repeat of last week even without Ed BUF: 31 HOU:24 -

I feel like the ‘amount’ of injuries is comparable to other teams…but they always find our best possible defensive players at the worst times 🤣. -

Say what you will about mcd in other respects but he elevates dbs play like crazy…I think poyer is probably a jag with any other team even in his prime -
This is almost like the unexpected week 1 win actually made things worse somehow lol

Samuel will pick up…he’s proven reliable over a pretty big sample size it’s not like Deonte harty where we were guessing he’d take a leap in productivity. It’s just way too early to dig into anyone’s numbers especially when we were just running out the clock most of the second half in 66% of our wins -

tough to tell anything this year as three of their games were bears, colts, jaguars. Last year they had a good run defense but Blake cashman, Sheldon rankins, and Maliek collins left and their DT play has been pretty bad so far jaguars didn’t have any trouble running on them but colts/bears they could just load up against the run -

It’ll come down to the trenches as most football games do. Half our games have been against extremely mobile qbs so I’d expect the dline to be better in this one now that contain isn’t as important even without Ed -

The bills have this rare ability to lose the two best starters in one position group lol then everyone still uses the ‘every team has injuries’ line. Chiefs would be 0-4 if you took their two best linebackers away. Heck they might be 0-4 if you just took Bolton away -
Can’t get the offense right against good teams either usually…really don’t even think he’s an elite offensive mind at this point
-
The bills seem to be heading for mostly positionless offense and i think it’s hurting people’s brains that are used to the traditional ‘people listed as wrs on the depth chart catch most of the passes’ lol we could’ve thrown for 400 against Jacksonville if we really wanted and the extra yards would probably be evenly split between Kincaid, cook and shakir with a few more catches for Coleman
-
Half our games were over not long after halftime and we just ran out the clock…we’ve only played 4 🤣. Were basically missing a full game in a four game season of passing stats lol
-
If we have taron and Bernard back for the chiefs game I don’t really see us losing. Chiefs got a little unlucky seeing us late in the season they definitely would’ve won if we played them around now given our current situation. Niners game could go either way though even with those guys i dont think people can even comprehend how big a deal missing your two best players in one position group is(Milano,Bernard) because we get caught up in this ‘no excuses’ mentality about our own team. If the chiefs were down Bolton and drue tranquil they wouldn’t have won a game. Just getting one of those two back keeps someone deep on your depth chart off the field
-
People don’t understand that just because something we did went badly doesn’t mean something we could’ve done wouldn’t have gone worse 😂. It’s pretty amusing honestly. Idk who these good linebackers our supposedly stupid coaches refused to play are that everyone is suggesting totally exist haha

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
My wording was bad on ‘blown coverage type situations’ because I got lazy lol…his td earlier this season was unquestionably blown coverage. His td against the chargers was bad defense imo seemed like miscommunication between the corner and safety to me personally it wasn’t an outright nobody covered him situation though for sure it has nothing to do with him being on the chiefs, his entire season has basically been two splash plays that I don’t think will be sustainable but we’ll see. If he was more consistently making smaller plays rather than two huge chunk plays I’d trust the stats more I would’ve said the same thing about Keon if josh scrambled around on that terrible trick play and actually got Keon the ball there on a huge play…the defense just dropped him so I wouldn’t have read into the big play too much
