I honestly don’t even think Shakir gets back to the line of scrimmage if Allen turns left and throws that quick…there’s defenders around to make that stop easily even at this point when it’s clear that throw isn’t coming that play would’ve been mocked forever. If it’s third down yea sure give your guy a shot to make someone miss I can see that
-
Ahh so it was a tweet people were latching onto hahaha that explains a lot. I think solak was a big time idiot on this one, the play he compares it to Josh is clean and can hold the ball a little longer til defenders got upfield. Real low percentage play to instantly check that down to Shakir especially given the result of buying time and throwing a catchable ball to Kincaid
-
Kincaid is the correct read the whole way it is literally impossible to argue lol people just trying to diminish what a throw that was I guess.. not sure how that makes anyone feel better but do what you gotta do 😂
-
The hindsight is out of control today. people calling for Josh being in shotgun for the 4th and inches play too? What is going on 😂. This board would’ve crashed forever when that playcall inevitably got blown up haha
-
A lot of those were really low percentage turnover chances that people are exaggerating imo. That first series he threw an absolute rocket behind the defender no one is catching that. You’re probably not losing a fumble that you are falling right on top of momentum wise either on those Davis run/josh sneak fumbles. Only one that truly looked like kc had a legitimate shot at was the strip but Allen made a great play scooping it before a kc defender could even get there so I wouldn’t even call that luck not to mention, the second low ish percentage INT chance on the first drive doesn’t even happen if they intercept the first, and if they turn it over there what does it even change? Bills punted and kc scored a td

Are you guys all latching onto a bad tweet or something? Lol. He made the perfect read on the 4th down play…the orbit motion if he could even get the ball out in time throwing to his left was very very likely getting blown up before the line to gain and that’s not a risk you can take. Kincaid was coming open with guaranteed yardage to pick up the first and dropped the ball
-
Idk seemed like we picked up a half yard minimum on every sneak last night (including the one where we apparently didn’t 😂) if it’s a full yard I get the outrage a little more, stopping a half yard or less sneak is borderline impossible (and I don’t believe the chiefs did). if we did some rpo/lined up josh in the shotgun and got blown up there this board would’ve absolutely melted down over not attempting a sneak lol
-
Now that my emotions have evened out a bit I really don’t think a half yard sneak is a bad call even if they know it’s coming…and I’d say it worked too just got kind of hosed on the spot. Imagine this board if we hand off to cook and he got stuffed for a loss which is probably what would’ve happened lol if you can’t hold up with guys pushing from behind on a half yard sneak I wouldn’t feel super confident about a hb run either

Von Millers name was not mention ONE TIME last night!

That seemed like your classic oline holding their a** off game that I expected which took some wind out of the sails of both pass rushes so I’d take dline results with a grain of salt …I assume we got away with some too. Ed Oliver got held by his neck by Taylor that was definitely the highlight lol kind of frustrating they called it that way seeing as the chiefs oline is a pretty big weakness but whatever. Most bills chiefs games seem to get that treatment because the league wants a shootout im sure -
I get the no excuses, find a way to win attitude for sure . But this injury to one of our best defensive players while the chiefs are mostly unscathed seems to happen every year lol it’s ridiculous. Andy Reid definitely sold his soul to the devil after his time in Philly 😂 13 seconds year there were definitely big injuries on both sides which is why that game got so ridiculous down the stretch haha
-
Na I think he knew that was the right read and thought he could buy some extra time to make sure it came open if he rolled right but the corner blitz came from that side so he reset and threw it to the spot. Don’t really think it was ‘luck’ at all…absolutely perfect throw that only his guy could get he just didn’t get it he wasn’t just wildly throwing a prayer hoping someone was there lol
-
Less kids and way better stats for Allen lol
-
Spags would’ve gotten obliterated with nazeeh Johnson forced into Jaylon watsons role to be fair…some of this injury stuff you can mitigate with depth but some of it is just dumb luck.
-
Belichick got lit up by the chiefs in the playoffs all the same but got bailed out by an OT coin and gave up a perfect offensive game to the bills with one of the leagues best defenses lol im not entirely sure that’s accurate at this stage of his career
-
Regular season is almost always all hands on deck health wise then we almost always lose our best corner for the rematch like clockwork lol. Cb depth seems like a huge issue come playoff time. 13 second game we had tre for the regular season and no tre playoffs, starting cbs were Dane Jackson/Levi Wallace. last year we lost the whole freakin LB room for the playoffs but corner was ok this year benford went down for the playoffs and we were left with Douglas and elam/lewis which takes you from a solid corner duo to one of the worst in the league. really gotta figure the depth out one cb injury shouldn’t be doing that.

If Allen asks for a new staff he should get it.

Idk that any of those guys are better than mcd right now lol Sirianni might have a chiefs problem also guess we’ll see -

Your ‘best quarterback ever can’t win the superbowl’ argument applies to McCarthy when he was at his best and he has regressed horribly since then and ran a talented cowboys team straight into the ground.. it’s quite frankly an embarrassing suggestion lol like if you were cryogenically frozen for mccarthys entire time with Dallas I’d still probably push back on the point but assuming you weren’t it’s just insane to pitch him as an upgrade 😂 belichick had one of the best ranked defenses in the league and gave up a perfect offensive game to the bills and the Brady pats gave up a boatload of points to the chiefs but snuck through on an OT coin flip. You really sure enough he will fare better that you fire your coach to hire a 200 year old man? Lol -
Josh played every bit as good as mahomes in this one if not better against an exponentially more talented secondary and pass rush after benford went down and people are completely discrediting it cuz he looked kind of nervous on the first drive lol it’s wild If he did what you said on the 4th down and somehow turns his body left to get that ball off Shakir never makes it to the line and then id ironically be agreeing with you that he made a mistake in a big moment lol your analysis of that play is completely wrong. Shakir would’ve caught that ball way behind the line of scrimmage when Josh needed to get that ball off and there were plenty of chiefs to make the tackle
-
Idk what the floor for great is then lol that’s a great defense that got even better since our last matchup. I really thought our oline was gonna be good enough to control the game, they weren’t, and Josh played well enough to win it anyway. if you told me benford would go down and we would get roughed up in pass blocking before the game I would’ve said we were losing by double digits but Josh willed them back in it and was probably one drop / a couple bs spots away from getting it done
-
This is less logical than the people blaming Lamar for Andrews’ 2 point drop last week imo. Josh made clutch plays all night post first drive and made perhaps the clutchest throw in history with a whole dline in his face and his guy just dropped it. If he had taken a bad sack there I’d probably agree with you
-
I genuinely still don’t get this take at all unless people shut the game off after the first drive lol I think your disappointment has blinded you from a real good game from Josh honestly. If he didn’t hit Kincaid in the hands on that last ridiculous throw I’d understand the point a little more I guess. The guy made crazy clutch plays all night that are being completely taken for granted
