  1. The jets pick top 15 all the time and even top 5 pretty often. Idk how you can compare that to a team picking in the mid to late 20s perennially 😂 the 6 year stretch that ran through salehs first season they won 5 or less games 5 times. The 17 year drought era bills did it 4 times total for comparison nothin against your post but I see people talkin like there’s no difference between an early first and a late first pretty often haha
  2. Snooping on the jets forum the overwhelming consensus was Saleh was too positive and merely a cheerleader too 🤣
  3. Imagine mcd and Saleh trying to outclap eachother on the sideline 😂
  4. I def agree with the skepticism 100% but I think you can get knocked out without having a concussion (had to soften my language a bit after reading even more sources haha). I don’t trust that the independent neuros are actually independent hence the skepticism but in theory theyd be able to tell the difference
  5. But you only know this because you got to watch the offense stall out with a minute to go and three timeouts before halftime and react to it in hindsight from your couch or the stands in the stadium or local sportsbar 🤣. That extra timeout can be and often is the difference between 3 and 7 points before halftime in situations like that. This is what starts to irk me about the gameday thread hindsight posters. Yea obviously if mcd knew the offense was not gonna get in scoring range he knows he has nothing to lose by challenging the Kincaid play. But how the heck can he know that when that decision presents itself. Let’s say we challenge it and lose, then the offense drives and we were a timeout short from punching it into the end zone. The hindsight posters would be just as mad for the wasted timeout. This feels like bizarro world because we are consistently and correctly goin after McDermott for blowing timeouts on hopeless challenges from time to time lol this was one of those
  6. Even if this by rule statement was correct, it’s not really relevant. the rule was botched then on the field and when you go to review you need overwhelming evidence to overturn and absolutely could not do it on that play that probably could’ve been ruled a catch and maybe it stands to a Texans challenge, but we were not winning that challenge
  7. Yea I think Kraft botched it…seems like they probably promised mayo the job once belichick retired thinking it would be a peaceful transition once mcdaniels flamed out in various locations 🤣 I’d only throw him out there if I had literally no other option…making peterman start a full season would’ve pretty much been capital punishment for everyone involved 😂
  8. Saleh is pretty terrible…I still don’t get the mid season upheaval when competing but the eventual firing of him would’ve been right An ex offensive head coach at OC makes sense though should someone interesting become available Assuming the bills perform well and lose in the playoffs to the chiefs again, if McDermott is fired I doubt he’s out of a head coaching job long. No idea what we’d do as interim if we fired him midseason though 😂
  9. I’ve been trying to bring this up for so long…I’m glad someone on the more pessimistic outlook side agrees with it at least(not trying to say you’re wrong to be that way you could 100% be right) lol ben Johnson with a dc that brings in a different scheme is one step forward on offense and two steps back initially on defense I think. A lot of defensive talent we have walks and then they do absolutely nothing good in their new homes that’s the risk of diving into the new coaches 3-4 year cycle. They’ve gotta turn your whole roster over and no one has the patience for that so they get run out of town then repeat the process. some new guys surprise in year 1 while teams aren’t really used to what you’re doing yet and then fade back after that
  10. The eras of football are completely different 😂. There were tons of rule changes favoring the offense in between the careers of the two guys you are just blindly looking at stats for. I mean it is beyond even having to respond to if you think going from aj klein off the street to matt Milano doesn’t make a massive difference like that’s straight up wild. The chiefs picked on klein all game long. that’s like saying ehh going from cam Lewis to taron Johnson no big improvement because taron has lost some reps before haha what a crock. And the Milano to Klein falloff might be twice as big as that to get this back on topic though I don’t think the dungy offseason firing is anything like what the jets are doing right now 😂 we’re on an off topic tangent at this point.. firing a guy midseason when you’re competitive is a crazy risk…offseason makes more sense
  11. That would be what you took out of that history lesson 😂 Constant complaints from the negative nancys that Allen is not good enough/misses too many throws/turns the ball over too much/sugar high josh/can’t hit a deep ball yada yada yada then suddenly Andy Reid not having Josh Allen is the excuse why he couldn’t win the superbowl in 20 years with teams loaded with talent in other places lol not like Mcnabb was any kind of slouch either. The dude is hof adjacent, likely will just miss out its really even more evidence that your football history is failing you if you think Mcnabb was some kind of mediocre qb 🤣 and now injuries matter in the playoffs? The bills are missing key guys all the time. Freakin aj klein got 98% of the mlb snaps against the chiefs last year. If it ain’t an excuse for us it ain’t an excuse for Reid
  12. Now it gets even crazier, new play caller, rookie hc calling defensive plays while managing the overhead of overseeing the whole team all while right in the thick of a division race with an upcoming game against a division rival they usually play tough Hackett is terrible and Saleh is bad but it’s just such upheaval for mid season when they’re competing
  13. This whole situation is kinda ironic to me. Our fanbase wants to dump McD for losing insanely close playoff games to a dynasty being coached by a guy that took 20 years to win his first superbowl Reid is a perfect example of not giving up on a coach too soon 🤣heck even if you just want to limit it to his time with kc, there were loud calls for his firing before he even got to the Super Bowl run years. They won one playoff game in his first 4 seasons despite making the playoffs three of those years and his gameday decision making was constantly questioned. One year they got a bye and got bounced in the divisional round. 2015 he was just about toast when they started 1-5. If the ‘we are good in the regular season but bad in the playoffs we better move on’ crowd won out, the dynasty likely never even happens sure Reid looks like a genius now but he took a ton of flak for decades in this league, has drafted all kinds of busts, has woefully mismanaged the huge moments in games, and so on. it seems like everyone has forgotten his whole history
  14. But the jets quite literally always give us trouble…even the wins have been close under their now ex hc 😂. This isn’t like a team that had no chance now turning into ‘who knows what will happen’. This was a game they had a really good shot to win and an unnecessary weird risk for them is now attached
  15. Yea if this was a team that didn’t give us trouble to begin with I’d be a little more anxious. This wasn’t a layup game before that was upgraded to unpredictable. It was going to be a very tough game that is now downgraded to unpredictable
  16. If ulbricht plans to get more involved in the offense it sort of makes sense but then you risk taking away from the one thing that has been working for them. The new line of thinking seems to be coaches giving up playcalling duties to oversee the whole team and that would be doing the opposite to a rookie hc taking over midseason
  17. And it’s not like Saleh hasn’t had us sweating in MetLife numerous times…were 1-2 there in his tenure and the one win was when they were in full rebuild mode year 1 the risk of dumping everything on ulbricht makes no sense. If they had started 0-5 sure I get it
  18. I get the vibe that this is exactly what happened of course it’s a complete guess though 🤣. Their season so far has been classic fire your oc results then Saleh gets the axe first…its very odd i was just suggesting one way it could involve Hackett that Saleh got fired initially
  19. His mcafee appearance was ‘rescheduled’
  20. Kind of matches what I’ve seen, the guy gets a lot of snaps so anyone saying Reid is holding him back is full of it imo. You’re not gonna trot a guy out there that often that you have no real intention of using properly. Home run threat that isn’t particularly well rounded was the concern in the draft and nothing has alleviated that yet.. doesn’t mean he won’t develop to be great though
  21. It’s possible for sure…we’re obviously all dealing in guessing at what’s possibly going on behind the scenes. I don’t think it can be anything other than complete locker room dysfunction though whether Rodgers was the primary driver of it or not so comparing it to some of these other teams who had coaching changes is pretty disingenuous too
  22. They rarely turn it over in the playoffs. Seems like Allen is making better decisions when things are at least going somewhat well but he got a little careless in the Texans game so I can see the concern. i do think some of this is Allen’s bad luck on defenders never dropping his ints reverting to the mean again too.. it was absolutely crazy for awhile haha like I’d watch a chiefs game and mahomes was hitting defenders between the numbers and they’d drop it. Allen was getting diving/toe tapping ints pulled off against him with regularity 🤣
  23. I’ve never liked a post faster 🤣
  24. We would be absolutely destroying the bills franchise if we fired our defensive head coach who’s defense is playing really well 6 days before a huge division game for first place that that coach has a lot of success against and an absolutely terrible offensive coordinator gets to keep his job. Straight up destruction on these boards which I’m imagining is what’s happening in jets land. it is the second dumbest move I have ever seen made by a franchise whether they win the game or not with number 1 being the browns Watson contract I think they should stick with him and fire him in the offseason if it doesn’t work out 100% absolutely irrefutable fact. Better late than never doesn’t mean mid season in the midst of a division race 😂 there is no universe where Saleh should’ve been fired before Hackett it’s sheer stupidity on unheard of levels. Even if ulbricht is great he still has the Hackett problem that Saleh has…the defense is pretty much at maximum output as it is what do you gain what they’ve done is forced a good defensive play caller to now have more responsibilities on top of what he’s good at for absolutely no reason leading up to their biggest game of the year
  25. This is kind of a self defeating argument based on your assumption the Saleh jets were not going to win this game. I’d argue the Saleh jets should’ve been favored in this game and very well could’ve been sitting as the division leader on Monday night. Why add all this upheaval into the mix and risk that? They have literally everything to lose lol it’s not like Saleh has struggled against buffalo in the past
