  1. Yea that last part I think pretty much every qb would do…Rodgers did much the same in that Vikings game earlier in the day. He doesn’t have the athletic ability so he ended up throwing balls off his back foot rather than scrambling around but it’s theoretically the same situation
  2. A screen is never ever as open as you are describing lol haven’t watched the plays yet but I think you are probably misdiagnosing some things that was likely a decoy route to hit a deep shot that Houston would’ve rallied to to make the tackle for a minimal gain if we threw the dumpoff seems like we came into it knowing Texans would flood the middle, shorter stuff and had some interesting plays queued up to take advantage. We just missed them all for various reasons…Josh being one of them. It was mostly a slog but the plays were there to win that one criticizing the audible to the deep hollins play/the decision to throw to hollins there was absurd. Josh knew the double move would hit and was 100% correct. Hard to say if it was a missed throw or he was expecting something else as the defender was inside and the ball went outside, but the decision making was spot on
  3. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills on this one haha I legitimately have no idea if this is a pro or anti josh post I’m about to make but he has several games like this one per year often with even better surrounding talent than he has now. anyone being like whoaaa where did this come from is very strange to me. Yea he was bad but he bounces back from games like this literally every season. I guess this is a pro and anti josh post 😂
  4. Idk how wr grades work but there were a lot of gray area plays where they probably put all the blame on josh and none on Mack when it should’ve been pretty even also pff really has no method of grading ‘josh expected Mack to route adjust/find a soft spot so he threw it to that spot and it looked like an inaccurate throw’ type plays. They’re not at practice/in the huddle with these guys
  5. Sounds like a LARP to me personally. Why wouldn’t he rework his deal? Bills would increase his future pay if anything. Also players and picks for a player doesn’t sound like beane at all to me or maybe it’s real and one side is playing hardball
  6. I think winning is a minor part and him going off statistically is the major part if I had to guess lol even with a great boundary receiver I think Buffalo still spreads the ball around which might be what he’s worried about
  7. I can’t take credit for this can’t remember who said it either though unfortunately 😂. But he seems to be telegraphing the PA fakes possibly because his hand is mangled which would be pretty impactful Yea I’m sure Simms is exaggerating a bit haha haven’t watched it yet though…and these talking head/ex terrible qb types never really bring up throwing lanes on short throws either. A lot of times they’ll circle an open looking receiver on the screen and be like LOOK HES OPEN when some mammoth of a man is putting his hands in the qbs face lol
  8. Yea it looked a little more mixed to me…I think the Texans gave the spy that responsibility and he was more focused on taking away Josh getting positive yards running and giving him more time on the rollout right mostly because they trusted their coverage would hold up. Almost bit them in the end but almosts aren’t worth diddly 🤣.
  9. It does feel pretty semantic-y at times…he played bad because he was in a bad situation is still him playing bad and if he was in a better situation maybe he doesn’t play as bad but he did is my in betweener take haha The missed plays are all amplified when the available possible good plays are limited. It’d be happening with mahomes’ weeks 1-4 now too but they’re winning anyway because their defense is stupid good 😂
  10. I agree about the bad part but I don’t think either of those teams did a particularly good job stopping him from rolling right to buy extra time to the point where it very nearly lost Houston the game. Can’t remember who it was maybe Coleman but he came back towards Josh from the back of the end zone on one of those post Houston fumble plays, the defender slipped and then made a great effort getting back into the play. those roll right scramble drill type plays are rehearsed and aren’t ALWAYS bad. A lot of our biggest plays come from doing that. But yea if he could’ve spent a considerable more time in the pocket and bailed early that’s absolutely bad teams really should be forcing him left the end of that game was like inches from ‘see what happens when you let Josh roll right’ and now it’s ’the guy can’t do anything when he rolls right’ 🤣
  11. Idk what the heck is going on with this board about the Kincaid catch lol. He 100% didn’t take a timeout right after and it was a 3rd down play so it literally would not have made sense to. They could’ve taken a delay deciding if he wants to challenge his decision to not blow a timeout on the challenge was validated when his offense got the ball back with three timeouts instead of two with very limited time in the half.
  12. I still don’t get this specific ‘bad josh’ take though lol. He was pretty bad for a big stretch of last year and has a couple games like that Houston one every year. none of this was new
  13. I really thought they were gonna lose this one because they decided to force a ball to diggs which would’ve been pretty great haha that would definitely be better though I think when qbs get pressured a bit they lose confidence in the oline then start pressing and it throws them all out of whack. He might’ve played bad because the oline let him down a few times early but it’s still pretty justifiable to say he played bad
  14. I’m as pro josh as a lot of people but he has a couple games like this per year. Sometimes it’s masked by the defense playing super well or receivers making a couple plays that they didn’t in this one where we win so nobody reads into it too much.
  15. I think he’s been wearing that patch for a long time…sincerely doubt that’s it. But it’s getting reported woody met with Aaron the day before, then tuesday morning Saleh had a meeting where he told some coaches he was going to take playcalling duties away from Hackett, then 20 minutes later he’s fired. So it’s feelin like he got fired for trying to phase out Hackett. it could be that Rodgers maybe thought Todd downing was terrible or he just really loves Hackett that much, or maybe Rodgers wasn’t involved at all. But the firing is seeming to revolve around Hackett from fans of some other teams that have employed downing apparently he may be even worse 🤣
  16. Cook gave the jets a lot of trouble last matchup
  17. They were the get right opponent last year when our offense was a mess funny enough lol They basically run what they run and it’s not overly complicated, pretty much know exactly what you’re gonna see. They’ve been pretty squishy up front against the run although I thought we’d run better against Houston so take that with a grain of salt 🤣 corners are fabulous, safeties are bad. Its a good defense but they are definitely propped up a bit by having 3/5 games against offenses even worse than ours if you can believe that haha they’ve played 3 of the bottom 5 offenses.
  18. Idk what happened last meeting then 😂. Shakir lit them up for a deep td, they had trouble slowing down cook. Probably could’ve scored 50 in that one if the jets offense made it a game. We mostly ran it out the last quarter and a half. And that was with a bad INT before halftime and diggs doing virtually nothing I think it’s more we’ve adjusted to that Saleh scheme than MetLife is bad juju but who knows.. even the game in buffalo the year before that looked like a struggle
  19. I understand the road vs home situation but ironically enough the last time the bills offense hit a skid they had a nice get right game against the jets. Cook and Shakir both had good games, diggs didn’t do much
  20. Yea I was a bit more 50/50 until I looked at the available wrs in free agency. The ones that would realistically be available and are a little younger than davante are good but idk if they’re great. Higgins will probably be a bidding war for a guy with a wr2 skill set. Amari cooper is a free agent but he doesn’t have the ceiling davante does I don’t think. Keenan Allen and Deandre Hopkins are davante Adams’ age anyway My somewhat conspiracy theory is he knows he’ll drum up interest from the bills too if he mentions that jets haha but that could be wishful thinking
  21. Yea really comes down to if the person answering the question thinks we’re a wr away for sure.. idk how great free agency is though for wrs this year I wonder how much that factors in for beane. There’s quite a few available but one is damaged goods and a few aren’t what we’re looking for tee Higgins isn’t really a wr1 imo, ceedee resigned, no way they go diggs again lol, then you’re down to guys that I’m not sure are super sure things like Godwin and diontae Johnson or aging vets like Deandre Hopkins and Keenan Allen could draft multiple wrs but we’re realistically picking late-ish 1st again so I doubt that we’d hit on a player of that caliber but it’s possible if bishop turns out at least ok we may have plugged a decent amount of holes where maybe we could trade up. Solomon and Carter have me optimistic
  22. Could be it’s impossible to predict. I think they have to at least partly feel that the owner gave up on them this season which has to be a little deflating if it really was over Saleh trying to demote an objectively terrible OC which seems to be what the reporting alludes to, theres gotta be a locker room rift.
  23. I’m not really seeing that much…he took plenty of deep single coverage shots in the last game. There was maybe a play where he could’ve snuck a pass in to shavers I think it was and passed on it which could potentially be interpreted of fear of an interception I guess? The only way you can really have that bad of an incompletion percentage game on that many attempts is if you don’t let it get to you and just keep firing 🤣 but I think a lot of this is reaching to explain 0 ints for him at this point in the season. Some of it is bad int luck in the past evening out it seems like, he’s had a few ints dropped this year. The prior couple years defenders turned superhuman and were diving, toe tapping, and making every freakin INT play to absurdly unlucky levels haha Every INT he threw I was like…man do guys ever drop his 😂
  24. This is why I can’t believe they fired Saleh and created a circus leading up to this game.its a game they had a really good shot in to take the division lead they could certainly win still but why add extra distractions on top of it
  25. No idea how the boost didn’t really come in the second half of this one though. If he’s still a wr1 Diggs/dell/woods/schultz should’ve been much more than enough to put that game away comfortably with the bills having huge weak links at nickel corner and Hamlin at safety. Diggs had a pretty good game but man I think prime Diggs goes off there
