  1. I feel like the ravens offense was a much taller order to stop this time…we like to play a lot of man against them so the motions and such don’t cause personnel mismatches in the running game. Zay flowers and Deandre Hopkins are way harder to man up than anyone they had in the playoff game and maybe Hairston over strong would’ve made a big difference there too. when you’re manning everyone up with a single high safety or doing some cover 0 stuff if Henry breaks the second level he’s gone so it’s very boom or bust. Boom or bust against the ravens is probably fine though as you’d prefer a quick score to them picking up 5 yards a carry and just killing all the clock. People are saying it’s same old mcd based on the result but it really is kinda the opposite philosophy than what we normally see from him against other teams imo lol i know people are seein fields/hall as a ravens lite but I think the defensive approach is gonna be entirely different. Against someone like fields you want to make him grind out drives packers really are good but it’s kinda under the radar because two of the teams in their division were insanely good last year…they had 11 wins last year despite losing every close division game. One of them Jordan love got knocked out of. I think the Vikings and lions got worse so it’ll probably be a little more clear the packers are good this time
  2. I feel like every big enough city where it’s logistically possible is just angling for hosting a Super Bowl and that’s the real reason we’re seeing so much of this. i just happened to be in Cleveland this year at the time Huntington bank field hosted a huge concert and it was an absolute sh*tshow haha so I wonder if any of these smaller cities will even get to host even with the fancy indoor stadium
  3. That specific bishop play was snap trickery on the ravens part that caused that mess…it was actually really crafty and I’m glad Harbaugh didn’t save it for some huge play in the playoffs lol. Kinda odd to drop that one in a game where you have no reason to believe you won’t win anyway they got up to the line and just instantly silently snapped it and the bills got caught in the disguised look…I’m sure bishop would’ve creeped down way closer to the LOS otherwise.. seems like we were not ready for a few quick snaps that night
  4. Yea I’m all for people preferring indoor/retractable roof on a personal comfort level but these business and strategy reasons I’ve seen people come up with for indoor football are a little ridiculous in my opinion
  5. I feel like busts outside of the first half of round 1 are shockingly common lol chiefs drafted a first round DE two drafts ago that just doesn’t ever play and most people probably haven’t even heard of Way way too early to know for sure but I thought Nate Wiggins looked pretty bad in pass coverage against an ok group of WRs Sunday night. Ravens and chiefs are two of the best front offices in the business…if they’re missing on round 1 picks everyone is 35 snaps I think it was like 70%
  6. The more I rewatch our game the only thing that felt lucky to me was the tipped td the Henry fumble was nice but there was time to get a regular stop anyway so idk how necessary it was.. And in this alternate universe where that happens, maybe we convert on the 2 pointer Jets looked pretty solid though I’m gonna watch that whole game I was switchin back and forth between a bunch of different games Sunday
  7. It’s getting tougher to find any faults at all…Lamar has kinda been ascending the same way it’s awesome to see both those guys prove everyone wrong about everything haha
  8. Yea I’m pretty sure it was built in the 2000s Retractable is such a pet peeve of mine haha it feels like a marketing ploy. The roofs are hardly ever open
  9. Oh I wasn’t trying to erase it it’s just the precursor to a really interesting convo about the average time any individual mvp/coach takes between superbowls which probably goes against the point the stat looks like it’s making. Also it feels a little bit cheesy to not include mvp RBs especially 90s-early 2000s ones and then you get guys that win mvp and appear in superbowls but lose like Dan Marino and cam newton not included (why does losing superbowls matter?) and clearly mvp caliber players that make the superbowl and lose like Joe burrow and Jim Kelly (again why does losing superbowls matter) then you’ve got mvp caliber guys that win 1 Super Bowl over long careers like Aaron Rodgers,Matt Ryan,Matt Stafford, Russell Wilson etc eventually considering all that you’ve got a stat that may be ‘true’ but doesn’t paint an accurate picture. MVP caliber players/coaches don’t bring home Superbowls over 4-5-6-7 etc year spans extremely often. I’ve gotta do some digging on this but I think the only coach in nfl history that averages a superbowl every 5 years or better is bill belichick and even he had a 10 year gap
  10. I really don’t even completely understand the ‘but this massive football venue can be used year round with a roof’ argument…there’s only like three months that would even apply to and when you’re a pretty small market you’re not even getting a lot of big concerts and such in the first place. I’m all for people personally preferring domes but it really feels like a ploy to try to bring a Super Bowl to a non-traditional area when teams decide to build one. Buffalo could never logistically support a Super Bowl anyway
  11. I’m not sure about the methodology you’ve chosen here. Why are you treating all 3 of them as one single entity basically? For example with the jets, Garrett Wilson is objectively better than all 3, but every one of Coleman/shakir/palmer is better than every other jets wr…that would be advantage bills to most reasonable people and that logic applies to many other teams here were you trying to just compare who has the best wr1? That’s really all you’re doing by looking it like that
  12. That’s an interesting one…the rams took off towards the end of the season. They won 5 in a row then benched starters or it coulda been 6 then ended up taking the eagles down to the wire in the divisional. Not sure if that bills rams game qualifies as a trap game The jags game 100% is a great example though for sure 😂. That was awful
  13. That was an odd game…pretty sure we held them to 14 until late in the third. Mightve been a case of us goin a bit vanilla too early. We were up like 35-14 or something tail end of the 3rd
  14. I would love to know the percentage of games that people said have the makings of a letdown game actually becoming a letdown game 😂. Feels like it gets said every time we play someone bad and it hardly ever happens I think they will trend upwards eventually (unfortunately) but it’s probably gonna take them awhile to get in a groove with the new defensive scheme. It’s probably good we got the road game early
  15. How often do teams open retractable roofs? I feel like every time I see Lucas oil it’s closed lol
  16. I think they don’t handle adversity well because things are usually way too easy for them lol when games tighten up and a few Henry runs start getting stuffed they seem to panic. They just don’t feel like they have the clutch gene
  17. Ravens fans have been saying awuzie looked pretty good but I thought him and Alexander were both varying degrees of bad. For a team so meticulously well built everywhere else I just don’t understand why they keep trying to plug in washed up veterans on 1 year deals at outside cb
  18. It’s the worthy trade clouding judgement…with worthy out for awhile Keon is gonna have a chance to catch him in games played and will likely pass him statistically once their games played even out. And that’s even with Keon falling off pretty hard post injury. From the nfl analyst narrative about that trade though you’d never know Keon has been putting up numbers when healthy lol he’s actually been more of a big splash play type player than even worthy has ironically enough…his yards per reception numbers are very high... has to be one of the most ‘twisting the narrative for a good storyline’ type things I’ve witnessed…not trying to say one guy is better than the other but they’re both gonna be good at what they do They must’ve picked him for the obligatory ‘we must call one penalty on the dbs to keep them somewhat honest’ because they knew he was too nice to complain lol
  19. It’s so strange because they called such a soft hold on Dorian strong early then mostly let both teams play haha
  20. It’s a dumb stat…there’s quite a few mvp winners that went to 1 Super Bowl their entire career and Josh has awhile to go
  21. This is a bizarre stat. Do you mean over 3? Lamar has 3 playoff wins and would have even more if he didn’t miss two whole playoff run opportunities due to injury and he’s won 2 mvps then you’ve got guys like Rodgers who has won 4 mvps and went to only 1 Super Bowl in 20 years so it’s really kinda a cherry picked stat especially with it applying to just qbs (had to exclude LT somehow to make your point I guess lol.)
  22. I was saying it all game…seems like they flood the middle of the field against the bills and give us all the underneath stuff. Then by just sheer force of will they fly all over the place rallying to the underneath throws and eventually gas out as the game goes on. Reminds me so much of Atlanta vs NE in the Super Bowl and really seems to be the common theme in their blown leads People are hand waving the result away blaming the fumble but maybe in this alternate reality where Henry doesn’t fumble the bills get the ball back and hit on the two pointer to tie it anyway i get the underneath throws got frustrating for fans but that’s the feeling DCs want Josh to get too…they’re trying to get him frustrated and forcing passes into high traffic areas
  23. Yea I’m all for not getting ahead of ourselves but with the sh*tshow the afc north is gonna be I feel like this game was massive and people aren’t really understanding how huge that comeback win was. the bills could be the worse team overall and are still very likely be the better seed than Baltimore based on this result. KC is still an unknown but there will be a game where kc and Baltimore play eachother and someone has to lose. KC is the big one now because we really want the situation where kc and Baltimore play eachother in the playoffs and we get to just clean up whoever wins that battle lol. Have to out-seed both teams to do that
  24. Since mcd has been around I think we’ve blown as many late two score leads against all teams total as the ravens have blown against just the bills lol. It’s honestly pretty wild. Seeing as Harbaugh can’t beat the bills or chiefs and keeps throwing these kinds of games away with probably the best roster for closing out games I just don’t understand why his seat doesn’t seem as hot as mcd’s. That superbowl win is becoming a more distant memory every year
  25. Ravens front office has gotta be pissed…I feel like they put a historically incredible team together every year and they oftentimes can’t even get by the team that can’t get by the chiefs lol there is not a team more well suited to protect late leads than the ravens and they just can’t do it
