  1. They’ve felt like a 5-1 team that caught a few very lucky breaks to me this year not that that’s not a plenty impressive record in its own right 🤣 Reid definitely sold his soul to the devil after his time with the eagles haha.
  2. Even if we just wanna limit talk to recent edge rushers, I mean it’s still early but karlaftis/anudike-uzomah were both first rounders and I’d still take Rousseau/basham over that despite basham being straight up worthless lol karlaftis is pretty good and Rousseau is very good but maybe not quite great
  3. 1 seed qb is usually a decent estimate but I don’t see it happening this year…Lamar is probably way ahead of Goff right now in the betting odds despite those setting the odds having a good idea chiefs and lions have the inside track to the 1 seed I doubt Goff is even in the top 3
  4. Diggs’ last game was such a vintage past prime Stefon game haha 7 targets for 23 receiving yards when 17 of that came on one reception
  5. Just mentioned this in another thread and thought I’d throw it in here too…we’re 2nd in offensive dvoa after the titans game just ahead of Washington and Detroit but wayyy behind baltimore. Last year we were third offense has been so hard to evaluate this year because there’s so many objectively bad teams that have good defenses where it just feels like the offense is underperforming against a bad team
  6. I really don’t trust Houston…I think we’ll be the 3 seed. Cj stroud seems to play so much worse when games are on the line and maybe we’re all a bit biased lol but I think it’s pretty clear diggs really didn’t move the needle at all for them. Collins won’t be back until at least week 10 so maybe they get upset by a lesser opponent in the next few weeks and they’ve got ravens chiefs lions on the schedule still so that kind of evens out our tough games. thank god baltimore lost those two games early lol at least there’s some chance they slip up and we pass them in win total
  7. Feels like it’s not even just the drops with him lol. He just seems bad at tracking footballs unless it’s the 2023 playoffs 🤣
  8. I think that’s opponents more than anything…the Texans defense is ridiculous and the ravens defense gave us problems because they’re good against the run and their issues against the pass were pretty minimized by our wrs we must be doing more right than we think because we moved up to 2 in offensive dvoa after this week…its by a slim margin but still 😂
  9. Haha they have looked this unstoppable in the regular season many times
  10. Looked like some absolutely horrendous holds on that screen
  11. I think they’re partners in crime in underperforming lol their oline was not even close to nfl caliber in the past and they had nobody at the skill positions but I think there’s enough pieces in ny now where a good coach could have the team performing at least ok/a bit below average
  12. This is sounding a lot like ‘if they weren’t really bad in the red zone and prone to big turnovers they’d be a better team’ 😂. Well yea but they are those things because they’re a bad team lol the ‘if’ game gets pretty murky…maybe Washington knew they could be conservative and settle for fgs because the giants didn’t have a kicker as one example. If you’re gonna un injure the giants kicker you change decision making for Washington too
  13. I like how Troy aikman will complain about a few josh Allen almost ints before anyone talks about Patrick mahomes actual interceptions 😂
  14. Somehow Daboll is the most overrated bills employee being discussed this year despite being gone a couple years 😂 the guy had limited cap concerns for his gm building the offense, no previous 5 year period of the team being dominant causing parity to throw talent acquisition for a loop, absolute prime Stefon Diggs, and still made as many boneheaded, bizarre playcalling decisions as anyone we’ve had since. there’s little doubt in my mind he’d be performing the same or worse at oc for us if we swapped him in for Brady
  15. Gave away 4 points on a pretty uncharacteristic boneheaded taron johnson penalty too. Probably could’ve held them to single digits
  16. There’s a lot more nuance than just ‘win percentage’ . if we had just eked out a 13-10 win against that defense that’s still a win, but lighting them up should definitely be worth something discussion wise also the main reason they only have one win was will Levis attempting borderline psychotic plays in close games and he didn’t even play in this one 🤣
  17. There isn’t much of a fun ‘could X team dethrone the chiefs in the division’ angle anymore which leads to less chiefs objective analysis. We’ve had the whole ‘the jets and/or dolphins are gonna dethrone buffalo and here are the reasons’ the last few years I don’t personally agree but obviously we’re all guessing at this point lol so I can respect it they seem to have more exploitable weaknesses than I can ever remember them having. Obviously still a huge threat I just don’t think they’re scarier than they’ve ever been they’ll probably improve some on offense but I don’t think the ceiling they can improve to is nearly as high as it has been in the past.
  18. Really didn’t think he was that bad in this one tbh (not that he hasn’t been bad before lol) those first down runs everyone complained about early were quite successful and that titans front 7 got straight up worn out which opened up a ton in the second half there were a lot of execution issues early too which killed drives (still coaching sure but not necessarily a playcalling issue) cooper had that drop, I think it was Dawkins that gave up a bad sack, Dawkins had a false start to eliminate a nice first down run, and so on
  19. It’s just so funny….all week it’s oooooo their defense is so good it’s gonna be a tough game you wait and see then after the game mehhh the opponent was bad how can you give the opponent credit then take it back when the result didn’t go the way you thought 😂
  20. Miami is still a bit weird to factor into buffalos record total which skews this a bunch to be fair. That dolphins team the bills faced was a heck of a lot better than their current record indicates we also didn’t get roasted by the giants which doesn’t count in the beaten category
  21. What? lol. Mahomes threw an INT from his own side of the field that was returned 33 yards 🤣. I mean yea maybe that’s the same as a blocked punt which is a massive play for the opposition all the same the only reason his two picks weren’t devastating was because purdy threw 3. Turnover differential is the best indicator of the winner of a game for a reason An INT is oftentimes a 0-10 yard punt not even on third down lol
  22. We’ve run out basically the entire second half of many games the past few years lol I don’t buy this at all as a difference between the two teams or that Reid is perfectly content with KC looking sloppy throughout the regular season. Every game is so important for seeding purposes, everyone is playing for their next contract. I mean obviously we’re not in these guys heads so this is all opinion but there’s no way Reid/mahomes/that kc is offense is happy with how they’re playing I think that’s pretty safe to say this feels like a reach to cover up that offense having pretty obvious issues because it’s been so good years past
  23. Probably up to personal interpretation and there’s no ‘wrong’ answer but I think a lot of what you mentioned up top is execution more than coaching (not that the coaching can’t improve too lol) That cooper drop killed a drive, a Dawkins false start erased a 5 yard gain on the previous play and killed a drive, and a bad sack where our oline got whooped killed a drive early in the game.. People were going off about first down runs in the gameday thread but the first down runs were setting us up nicely when the offense was struggling early and we still botched it everyone hates running the ball but it really wore that titans front 7 out making everything easier too as the game went on
  24. Yea we seem to be worse early but it’s usually we’re good early and even better late so context is important. This year has been a little bumpier than usual though so I guess we’ll see how it goes lol
  25. This feels like how it normally goes if we’re looking at a big sample size…we seem to give up a scripted drive td early then lock it down pretty quickly. This year there’s been a few bad longer stretches but I think some of it is injury related
