  1. People get nervous when they’re playing a team with ‘nothing to lose’ because they think all the pressure is on their team but the broncos don’t really have nothing to lose. They’re always gonna come in to the playoffs as a low seeded wildcard playing in the afc west so the ‘we’re just happy to be here’ narrative doesn’t make any sense for them.
  2. Cooper hardly played. Got him week 7 and he missed three games due to injury. Ravens have Derrick Henry who has a better mvp case than Lamar imo he just got straight up snubbed. I’d be less upset if Henry or Barkley got it over Josh than if Lamar did 🤣 It’s so weird you can even bet on mvp in most places cuz the voters pretty much tell you who they’re voting for on social media haha I think that’s what has swung the odds even more…even some of the never joshers are coming around It’s legit crazy how often Lamar is throwing to comically wide open guys from a clean pocket haha idk if there’s some kind of advanced metric for that but he’s gotta be miles above everyone else in that category if there is. Derrick Henry is that teams mvp but Lamar seems to have gotten all the credit as far as end of season awards have gone
  3. Orlovsky had the mic drop I think…he said it’s pretty much statistically impossible to lead your team to that good of a season without a 1000 yrd receiver or rusher (cook ended up just making it) and they only had 1 pro bowler other than Josh while the ravens had 9 total and despite all that the bills beat the 1 seed in each conference. he said if it’s a stats only award just let a computer pick it…that’s not what it’s about
  4. A bunch of guys moving around pre snap could mess with the tempo of your offense and you could be constantly racing to get the ball snapped in time. It’s a great tool if you’re good at it/like it but not everyone does
  5. Any time I’ve seen the bengals play Cody ford has looked terrible lol I’m not sure what they’re talking about. The almighty cris collingsworth PFF ratings seem to agree 🤣
  6. They’re still there from what I’ve seen. It’s a bit tricky to find the odds sometimes because I think player award betting is illegal in ny technically. I check them on Vegas insider usually which shows you the odds at a bunch of different sportsbooks at once. Looks like josh is between a -250 and -500 favorite lookin at all of them
  7. Yea I think more often than not spending that money to upgrade one of your starters makes more sense than spending it on a backup qb but Miami is probably a special case where they pretty much have to do it
  8. Tuas a bad contract even when healthy lol. Seems like he plays his worst when the lights are brightest. That’s probably part of what is frustrating tyreek in the first place
  9. I think coaches have to take other interviews to put pressure on the team they’re actually interested in. I doubt vrabel ends up with the jets. NE is a way better job
  10. Starting Milton was the pats attempt to tank from a coaching level but the bills one upped them by throwing Mike white in late lol the players that are out there definitely take every opportunity they’re given but you can fiddle with things from a coaching/roster perspective to try to lose games
  11. I’ll never understand why people don’t get this point haha idk who he’d bring in for DC but anyone good enough to turn that defensive situation around would probably be up for their own head coaching gig
  12. I thought Mitch looked pretty good honestly haha I was kind of surprised. Seems like we brought in Mike white to throw the game though he was pretty awful also we punted from the 35 to get Martin a bonus on his contract which definitely would not have happened under normal circumstances
  13. It didn’t make a humongous difference this year but yea Huntley is considerably worse. They had tua for a lot of the tougher games this year and long enough to turn it around and still lost to pretty much all the good teams. I think teams skimp on backup qbs because even if you have a pretty good one you’re probably not winning a Super Bowl anyway so they see it as wasted resources
  14. Or maybe Micah should watch some of the games lol Lamar throwing to laughably wide open guys because teams are loading up to stop Derrick Henry is just not an mvp to me I think you could argue Lamar is not even the mvp of his own team pretty easily
  15. That was still the most bizarre game I’ve ever seen lol we almost lost but we were inches on a few throws from Josh having like 500+ yards passing and blowing them out too 🤣 Idk they had no Pickens last time and the ravens had flowers and it was still close most of the way. Idk that they’ll win but id expect the Steelers to be in it. Ravens Steelers have a long history of really close games that the Steelers usually win lol
  16. That Lions offensive depth chart is absolutely stacked lol idk why everyone gets hung up on the qb specifically. outside of qb they are significantly better than us at just about every position I’d say and Goff isn’t exactly a schlub by any means. I think Ben Johnson could easily be the hot oc that doesn’t work out also honestly.
  17. That Texans game threw some cold water on the whole ‘we turned it around’ narrative for their fans I think. Tua looked awful in a must win game. They were pretty bad until garbage time against gb too down the stretch. also your numbers are not correct they didn’t even win 9 games total lol. They went 6-3 down the stretch and 5 of those wins were CLE,LV,NE,NYJ,SF.its usually a scheduling anomaly when they go on a decent run because they pretty much exclusively lose to good teams. they weren’t much better with Tua vs without too. Tua was 6-5 this year when starting. granted his matchups were tougher but I don’t think their fans are having that ‘if we only had tua’ feeling you’re describing
  18. That leaves 3 openings though to be fair 😂 some of y’all might not like it but he seems to be top of the list once you subtract those two names.
  19. Mcconkey would’ve been a really strange pick imo. Big bodied wr that can catch jump balls and is a dog in run blocking was exactly what we wanted. Our roster is really crowded at slot wr and mcconkey could probably have some success outside but has just as many question marks if you’re expecting to line him up outside for the majority of the time as Keon has
  20. I think it’s closer to 1.5 points now for the home team
  21. Flores has gotta be chuckling to himself watching what’s going on with Miami now that he’s with minny lol doing a heck of a job against Detroit right now
  22. People don’t think about burrow being in a way better position to rack up stats than any of the other mvp candidates. The guy is trailing and having to throw in pretty much every game. We’d be getting Josh vs the rams stats every week if Josh was in the same position. Burrows stats are pretty much meaningless in the mvp discussion
  23. Shouldn’t this be a great result with everyone’s constant panic about the bengals around here?
  24. Von was really really good before the injury. The pass rush was great his first year here and it fell off a cliff when he got injured. It felt like a huge loss that everyone was worried about when he went down because of how well he was playing. He also played a sizable chunk of snaps that first year, I don’t think he ever missed more than half of the snaps in a game and frequently was on the field 70-75% percent of the snaps he’s been pretty solid this year too im interested to see if the snap count throughout the year was a bit of load management.
  25. Hard to flame anyone when there isn’t really a clear definition what mvp even means lol. If it is a pure statistical award you could probably make a case for any of those guys. i dont get this Lamar running away with it stats wise thing though, why do his rushing yards count but not his 5 lost fumbles? He actually has more turnovers than josh does and the total tds isn’t crazy different despite the ravens having another mvp candidate on offense that defenses have to account for. Burrow really shouldn’t win, if Josh or Lamar were trailing all game every game they would absolutely be going off just as much if not more. Could just be only when I’m watching but the vast majority of Lamar’s big plays that I’ve seen are like this haha he had a really nice throw to a well covered Andrews last night which had me thinking about how rare it was that his receiver isn’t comically wide open
