How much better is the Ravens team on paper than the Bills?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guess would be the bills wanted mcduffie and the chiefs surprisingly traded up to steal him so we had to trade up to get the only other corner we had a high first round grade on that wasn’t as good of a scheme fit. Seeing as the cowboys ended up with Elam eventually I wonder if we were concerned they’d swipe him if we didn’t move up it was mostly dumb luck the ravens were in position to take Hamilton at all lol not only should he not have fallen that far but the ravens had to lose 5 in a row (4 extremely close games) after a Lamar injury to even have the 14th pick. Hamilton easily should’ve gone top 10 and probably should’ve gone top 5 so teams picking late in the first probably didn’t even see him as a trade up target. Hamilton had to have dropped because of his 40 time at the combine which is just dumb haha -
The Sunday night football producers literally picked the most boring people they could possibly find to do the pregame/postgame lol

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ehh idk…I think the ravens offense is even more all time stacked this year and sometimes you’ve just gotta win a shootout.. in the playoff game their outside WRs were absolute clowns with flowers out which made loading up against the run much easier. They had flowers and dhop this time. People are talking like this was the same offense we saw in the playoff game but they were considerably better. Bateman at WR1 really simplified the defensive gameplan idk how much of what we saw last night will apply to any of the other 30 teams in the league so the panic is likely a bit premature -

Oh man I forgot about this rather silly rule 😂. I guess they have to let the defense treat receivers as blockers to give them a chance on plays where the qb scrambles that way…they can def take advantage and lock up a passing route though that was never realistically gonna become a blocker though. I remember the Seahawks just kinda tackling all the receivers on a play back in the tyrod taylor days -
Flowers being out in the playoff game def helped a lot…their receivers were not threats at all and could be single covered without help pretty easily Hopkins/flowers was a pretty big upgrade over Bateman/tylan Wallace/other random dudes

Jabrill Peppers cryptic tweet (now heading to Pittsburgh)
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Herc11's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rapp was the bigger problem yesterday…both were problems though. I think you’ve gotta roll with bishop and get him reps…he’s no worse than Hamlin he’s just different lol. If bishop diagnoses a play correctly he’s got the physical skills to make a play but Hamlin really has no chance despite being the smarter player right now -
I think they were 5 or 6 in defensive DVOA last year but I refuse to pay for a subscription 😂. They were bad early but shuffled some guys around and were pretty lights out the rest of the way. Granted most of the schedule was easy down the stretch but I wouldn’t be shocked if they were top 2 or 3 for the second half of the season after moving Kyle Hamilton to a more normal role. They were trying to do way too much with him early on

Jabrill Peppers cryptic tweet (now heading to Pittsburgh)

Yea it was an instant silent snap right when they got to the line…the lions do it some also but I don’t think that’s been thrown at us before really think Harbaugh should’ve saved that for the playoffs tbh -
Oh he was bad haha I’m not trying to say he was decent…Rapp was just worse

Yea now that rational thought has returned I feel like bishop was just bad and rapp was godawful haha -
Might take them a little bit to get the new defensive scheme down…probably good the road game is early
-
Hall is a beast but fields who I feel like is underrated is Lamar veryyyy light still though 😂
-
I don’t think bishop was as overwhelmingly bad as it seemed from his lowlight plays tbh. I thought Rapp was even worse (not saying much though 😂). That infamous super weird late blitz was some snap shenanigans from the ravens…that was actually pretty cool tbh. Ravens just went up and immediately silently snapped it which got the bills caught in their coverage disguise. Probably a blessing someone did that to us in the regular season…lions do it some but im not sure if they did it to us at all
-
Hahaha I straight up confused myself replying to this and had to delete it twice…wasn’t that the missed two pointer where the ravens had too many men moving us up to the 1? I’ve definitely seen teams go for that in all spots. There were so many two pointers that I was thinking of a later one initially lol pretty good shot you get the 2 pointer and if you don’t there’s time to get another in a game where the ravens are scoring at will and you gotta figure out some way to maybe steal a possession somewhere down the road
-
I feel like teams are going for the two pointer earlier these days…I’m gonna try to do some digging on it but I really feel like I’ve seen that quite a few times recently posters are a bit behind on the new hot analytics trend I think 😂. (Although that doesn’t mean it’s right) in fact failing early probably worked out as they knew they were chasing an extra fg late and I have little faith any individual 2 pointer was anywhere near a 50% success rate that game haha

It means just walking back in bounds basically lol I don’t think you can hop straight from out of bounds and catch the ball then land with two feet in but just walking back inbounds after being forced out should’ve been more than fine 100% lol. There was some explanation of why the bills weren’t allowed to try again after committing an accepted penalty but they completely blew the force out explanation. Goes to show you how absolutely terrible that call was -

Complete screw job is probably the answer lol. All he has to do is walk back on the field and get both feet in if he’s forced out…nfl refs just completely botched the ‘he got forced out’ part of it and missed it. Eagle eyes on seeing him step out though of course 😂 the announcers were likely thinking they didn’t know the rules because of how impossible the force out was to miss -
They’re probably using facial recognition more often now, back in the day it was the classic ‘nfl security has your picture but will they spot you’ type situation. Probably void tickets bought under your name automatically but that’s a small hurdle
-
I wonder if that was his dad next to him just standing there unsure of what to do…absolutely wild situation.. kid deserved it
-
Should’ve been more tbh…likely would’ve punched in that late td if necessary in fact the ravens probably should’ve let them score. Got hosed on the josh slide drive, got hosed before halftime cuz flowers definitely dropped that ball and ravens got to kill a bunch of clock and prevent a possible td drive, got hosed with Keon getting shoved out of bounds on the 2 pointer. Quite a lot of potential points shenaniganned right off the board haha
-
Yea I think from just a ravens fan perspective it might seem like we force a lot of opportunistic turnovers when we play them but they must not be watching when the chiefs absolutely light us up in the playoffs haha mcd has actually turned in some pretty solid gameplans against them in the past…not that this was one of them lol

Did the Bills win, or di the Ravens lose?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Harbaugh had more faith in his veteran corner acquisitions than he probably should’ve and they were very ill equipped to flood the field with dbs late…it should’ve been even harder for the bills to work the deep areas of the field late and it very much wasn’t lol -

Like people are saying about the bills defense in the playoffs, I don’t know how long we can keep making excuses for the ravens blowing these kinds of games. ‘The ravens lost the game the bills didn’t win’ implies it’s an absolute fluke result that they’d blow a comfortable lead but they do it way more often than a lot of other teams heck it’s not even the first time we’ve done something like this to Baltimore
