Mac jones is the best thing to happen to the afc east teams not named the patriots…he’s good but his ceiling is just too low for them to be a serious perennial threat in my opinion and NE will be stuck in that good not great range as long as he’s there

Not to comment on his vaccine stance but what he was correctly trying to raise attention to is plenty of vaccinated players are probably Covid positive right now and playing because they are not tested frequently. They really should be testing everyone again

Oh yea completely agreed…if you look at their wins though they really haven’t upset someone yet but that definitely doesn’t mean it can’t happen

They are one of those sneaky pretty mediocre/slightly below average teams that everyone completely disregards. Not a slam dunk win by any means but they mostly beat bad teams.

This is very surprising because we absolutely pantsed them…left a lot of points on the field and still won handedly

I think he’s doing wonders scheming around a quite physically limited mac jones though so I don’t hold it against bill too much…no way he goes with that gameplan twice otherwise

I think there’s some nuance here that people aren’t picking up on…more often than not the pats are essentially in a goal line offense that it is very difficult to pass out of. They’re just trading pass yards for rushing yards at this point.

They said that last week too when the colts stomped them lol maybe the pats should start treating regular season games like the superbowl and they’ll stop losing

I don’t even think he’s a good game manager…he’s turned the ball over too many times in two huge afc matchups…the big afc game he won he completed 1 pass lol they just were somewhat lucking out that all the big afc games they had were against extremely banged up teams…solid team but far from great

Think he’s got a decent mvp shot after today I’m sure he’d prefer that to pro bowl lol

They are trying hard to hide him though…they’ve got 9–10 blockers in on every play to stuff the run and give him almost no responsibility

I genuinely do not understand why the national media bit so hard on the pats hype train. It really is incredible to me how they are talked up to be a peak Tom Brady level threat in the afc. They’re a solid team that will rarely beat themselves…but clearly are a flawed team if they thought the best way to win this shootout was to flood the game with offensive linemen and pound the run for 60 straight minutes. If they don’t go 5 for 5 on 4th down conversions when the game mattered they get absolutely blown out.

Exactly what I thought would happen…better team won. NE is a good team but despite that are still vastly overrated somehow. We did not need a perfect game to win this one like most were expecting
