The list of examples of guys refusing to mentor someone are all future/current HOFers so I’m not sure that really compares lol

I don’t think it would’ve come down to those 13 seconds if we had one more great pass rusher/another serviceable cb though. Throw Elam and von miller into that defense and we probably have a repeat of our regular season matchup with the chiefs. season was pretty much over when tre white went down unfortunately…can’t believe how well Dane Jackson held up and josh Allen had as good a playoffs as anyone…it just wasn’t enough

I think they’re a bit blinded by him ‘leading’ them to the playoffs his rookie season and they think he’s only gonna get better from here. That’s really not how qbs necessarily develop…we’ve seen tons of guys have one pretty good year then fall off a cliff. They’re also choosing to ignore the afc east had an absolute joke of a schedule last year. Their 10 wins were: NYJ x2 HOU LAC CAR CLE (missing Chubb,hunt, a couple olinemen and baker w/ torn labrum) ATL TEN (missing AJ Brown,Julio, and Derrick Henry) BUF (infamous wind game) JAX That season looks completely different if they played TEN at a time when they were a little closer to full strength or us any other week on our schedule. I think they were more of an 8-9 team that got some good fortune

I don’t think anyone is trying to minimize the pats dynasty here…it’s something incredible that no one will likely ever repeat. But if we’re projecting what these teams are gonna do in the future, the pats not forcing a punt for 9 consecutive quarters last season and making minimal defensive changes in the offseason is a lot more relevant than superbowls the patriots won years ago with a qb that’s now on another team.

I think Miami needs a full rebuild to challenge us honestly…josh torches them pretty much every time and they didnt do much on the defensive side. Now they’ve got a ton of resources tied up in a receiver too. They might have gone from losing in a blowout to losing in a shootout but they’re still gonna lose lol the tyreek hill trade still makes no sense to me if they’re trying to compete for the division title

Did a good amount in the offseason on the offensive line and when bates mace his way into the starting lineup down the stretch they started playing great. We were one corner away from being the superbowl champs imo and we’ve gotta start getting prepared for edmunds’ exit as well.

Why are punters and kickers valued so little in the draft I just don’t understand it

He had a down year…only 1225 receiving yards 😂 despite having bad weather half the season and a terrible offensive line for 60% of the year.

Seems like they extended diggs now to free up some money for a cb…if I had to guess.

I don’t know the numbers so this is kind of a guess but I bet this diggs extension freed up some space to sign Gilmore or an equivalent on a 1 year deal

No guarantee the qb they trade up for pans out either though…we know better than anyone that sometimes it takes a couple drafts to find the right guy 🤣

Depends entirely on the price tag. He’s just about the best you can do veteran corner wise. I think about that wild season where Blake bortles led Jacksonville was a Stephen Gilmore ridiculously athletic tipped pass away from going to the superbowl all the time lol

Miami just didn’t build a team that could beat buffalo…really strange what’s going on over there. Tua could take a big step forward and they’re still likely playing for second in the division although I still think it’ll be the pats. They needed to load up on the defensive side…tua just isn’t going to win a shootout against josh. Why are you capitalizing rookie year like qbs only get better after their 1st season lol tons of guys regress cuz there’s so much film out there of their tendencies by year 2 Im not even trying to start smack with pats or dolphins fans…I think mac and tua are both fine and they won’t be the issue for their respective teams next year. but both those dudes go 0-16 with that 2018 bills team most likely. Josh wasn’t even supposed to start that season but peterman was sooooo bad that he had to. talk about trial by fire…no offensive line, no receivers, no defense to keep them in games.

stats only tell part of the story…josh Allen carried that team his rookie year. What an awful roster that was. He made Robert foster look like an all star. Tua feels like he’s just a facilitator in the dolphins wins. I think Miami pulling tua for Fitzpatrick when games were on the line is just about all you need to know about tua. I’ll be shocked if they don’t at least draft a qb to compete with him for the starting job next season lol at had a chance to beat him twice during the regular season. Down 5 without the football isn’t even remotely close to winning the game. Pats forced 0 punts against the bills the last two games it’s not like that was an isolated incident lol. Bills objectively outplayed the pats by a ton in that second regular season matchup…we lost 14 points on dropped wide open tds. Score did not indicate how lopsided that game was

The center/ right side of their oline is still terrible…they signed an often injured LT who’s pretty much just a bandaid because teams will just hammer the right side of their oline. Maybe they’ll use their 2023 draft capital to move up in this years draft…if not it’s gonna take them a few years to plug up some obvious holes and likely coach up a new qb

Tough to tell what the holes are…depends on how well the pass rush performs. Corner is a huge need if we’re gonna do the ol get close to bringing down a qb but not close enough thing again 🤣
