Why do people put so much stock in the first half of football games. We absolutely dominated the second half…games are frequently close at halftime as the teams are feeling each other out. Dolphins were a ref noticing groot being physically assaulted on that play to gesicki away from losing a 3+ score game in which they scored 3 total points lol

What team scares you the most?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Def agree with GB. They might struggle getting past the rams though. I don’t think the bengals are anywhere close to as multidimensional as the titans or GB. mixon got stuffed all day running the football against the jets not that we should get too hung up on one of their games lol -
If we trade for a RB, who would you want?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can’t think of a single worse investment for this team than a star rb lol i live in giants territory and have seen saquon getting corralled in the backfield by 3-4 defenders on 90% of his carries behind the giants garbage run blocking more times than I can count -
Big Ben was just lobbing up prayers and their receivers made the plays in tight coverage… that game felt like a tough luck loss to me more than anything. Tennessee is a pretty special case as their running game demands so much attention that it’s hard to say tannehill having a great game is what beat us…I can’t think of any other team like that these days. Browns are close ish but kind of a lesser version. So it’s hard to extrapolate anything based on that titans loss unless we see them again in the playoffs which is very doubtful if Henry misses a lot of time. I just don’t think we can say things like well look what tannehill did Brady will def torch us which is the kind of stuff fans love to say haha

10/31 Sunday Night Football: Cowboys at Vikes
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFC has a handful of heavy hitters that all have a chance so you never know. Cowboys are looking good though they had a win pretty much stolen from them week 1 when the bucs got away with a ridiculous push off on the game sealing catch too -
Kind of a shame if that’s what it gets reduced to because josh has really always been a ‘stats don’t tell the whole story’ kind of guy. Brady isn’t evading quick pressure when 3 linemen whiff on blocks and throwing an absolute strike on the run but it counts the same as a well protected pass on the stat sheet lol
-
Oh yea rodgers deserved it for more than just stats alone… looks like Allen might have been second in total tds hm I thought there were a few more people in between. Even so I feel like there’s gotta be some reason Vegas likes him more than some other guys with ‘better’ stats right now for mvp. Not that they are the ones to decid. Maybe they are just projecting who will have the best stats at the end.
-
I think it’s more how important the player is to that team…if josh keeps hurdling guys to pick up huge first downs and making ridiculous highlight plays it doesn’t matter as much if someone like Stafford or Brady has 4 or 5 more tds than him. To me he deserved to be 2nd last year and I’m sure he was 4th or 5th in total TDs but I’ll have to check. I think Murray was probably ahead of him before this week. Oh yea I def wouldn’t argue it’s a qb only award these days but it’s not really a ‘stats’ award.
-
I still have a hard time following this logic…it’s not a ‘who has the most tds’ award…josh was 2nd in voting last year right? Was he second in TDs? Dolphins have a ton of defensive talent on paper and had a great game plan and still lost by 15 I wouldn’t worry about that for the future….division games are tough it’s (almost) unheard of to beat the same team 7 times in a row lol

QBR is worthless; Tua higher than Allen
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tua had infinitely more turnovers than josh 😂 he throws ducks all game long…dude just doesn’t have it. If the refs somehow don’t lose their eyesight tua looks much worse on the stat sheet -
Subtraction by Addition - Emmanuel Sanders

Offensive line is much weaker in pass protection so far this year -
He was pretty bad outside of that one play where groot was the victim of an illegal hands to the face and gesecki pushed off on the same play lol

This O-line is why the Bills won’t win it all this year.

pretty sure tannehill was the most sacked qb in the nfl as of a few weeks ago not sure if that changed. Have you watched all of these teams play? Kyler is running for his life on a very consistent basis…Cleveland hasn’t been good up front. Dallas has been stout but they seem like the exception and they have so much money invested there -

Yea you give him 200 million to win these exact games and he did…there aren’t just dozens of great well rounded offensive linemen hitting free agency every year. the dolphins have had a ton of draft capital to build a team to beat us specifically and josh is a Charles clay drop away from beating them 8 times in a row. Division games are always slugfests -
Week 8, Fish v. Bills Game Balls - 10/31/21
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude was Superman out there lol this is a crazy take. Every play he had defenders hanging all over him. Made a ton of plays on 3rd and long when our running game couldn’t even pick up 3rd and 1s. That game is a shutout loss without one of only a small handful of qbs -

I mean they certainly consider the bad offensive line play when they set their odds to be fair…and despite the bad offensive line play against a defense that has underperformed but undeniably has a lot of talent we covered one of the biggest spreads of the year -

I think every elite team has been absolutely crippled by bad pass blocking at times this year…josh seems to handle it better than most if not all. Every team’s fans are probably saying the same thing as you right now lol -

Seems like every week we play scary front 7s even though our opponent overall is bad lol outside of the Houston game who is terrible at everything…so I can’t even really tell what’s happening. -

Fortunately we don’t have to play all three of those teams in the playoffs and only one will make it to the super bowl lol they also don’t see us as often as the dolphins do. On paper the dolphins d really isn’t far behind any of those teams it’s impossible to say how much has been them underperforming up to this point and how much was us struggling. Lots of games to go to figure that out -
Kind of hard to tell when the interior pressure was crushing us…you’re not supposed to win games like that and we’re winning them by 2 scores this year. You can game plan til the cows come home but a lot of the game comes down to your big guys up front winning and somehow we have an absolute freak at qb that can mask a lot of that
-
Could look at it glass half full…saints have proven the bucs are def beatable as they pulled it off with a 5th string qb lol
