If stafford wasn’t 33 I’d understand it more…he’s taken tons of shots in his career too. Also they haven’t won anything yet 😁 Maybe not ravens now…they have as many question marks as us it seems lol

I think Knox is back this week if I’m not mistaken…if we go back to blowing teams out we’ll know what the problem was lol couldn’t hurt to have two all purpose TEs. It’s just so clear that our answer to the defensive looks we were getting the end of last season was Dawson Knox and seems like it was a huge focal point in the offseason to get him involved. Chiefs have a similar strategy with Kelce but they are a few wr weapons short of what we have so I don’t think they have the potential to beat those kind of defensive looks that we do.
-
They’d be better off with a rb that is an absolute stud in pass protection and can catch the ball…I think the combination of moss leaving the game,Knox being out and missing two decent offensive linemen was just too much for us to handle in this one. We look like an entirely different team with Knox out there. I’m confused how people see this…we are calling runs they are just going backwards lol any time our rbs have a nice carry it involves breaking at least 2 tackles. we don’t have the most important offensive weapon against cover 2 because he broke his hand in the titans game and that is the difference. Knox was going off all season. The two games he’s missed have been a struggle

Referee Tony Corrente corrupt as *****!!!
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that block was the ‘right’ call by the rules at the time but afterwards they were like what a stupid rule and made some changes to it lol supposedly refs review that play as an example of a legal block now which makes it even worse 😂 You remember their names when they’re bad and he’s one of the bad ones lol I don’t even really watch baseball and I know angel Hernandez is a terrible ump -
All-22 Grades for Bills/Jaguars (The Athletic)
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea I can’t remember if it was Sweeney but someone dropped a game breaking short pass that would’ve gotten a ton of yac late in the game. Really everything went wrong offensively I’ve been beating the drum on not having Knox being the sole reason for our offensive nosedive. Seems like we made it a point of emphasis to get Knox involved to roast this cover 2 nonsense and it was very effective until he broke his hand. I’m not too worried going forward and Vegas doesn’t seem to be either as we’re still up there in the super bowl odds -
Is the #1 seed that big of a deal anymore?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to streetkings01's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep Havin that bye is huge…I think we could potentially win a road game or two assuming the jags loss was a complete fluke of course lol we def got robbed of a shootout in the afc championship last year by some interesting officiating…we likely still would’ve lost but I don’t think we played as flat as it appeared -
I mean they kind of have to right…they don’t have a first round pick until the year 3000. They better win it all now because they are a couple years out from being dreadful

We run the ball a good amount it’s just so ineffective that fans don’t seem to notice lol our rbs are getting hit behind the LOS on every carry. I think we’d be better if we ran the ball less at this point honestly…our run blocking is not good enough to force the defense to put extra guys in the box anyway and we are just throwing downs away with 1 yard carries on first and/or second down and it’s forcing us into 3rd and medium - long when our oline has been bad pass blocking too. A recipe for disaster. I have the displeasure of being in giants fan territory and saquon is completely wasted behind their offensive line when healthy. He was supposedly a generational rb talent

Kurt Warner breakdown on Bills vsJaguars game
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea I wouldn’t put any stock in an analysis like this one…the whole philosophy is kind of backwards. It’s more like hey this offense had a bad game let’s see how we can blame the quarterback for it. Every position is connected on the offense so it’s not really fair to isolate it like that. Once your qb gets crushed a few times and loses faith in the offensive line all bets are pretty much off reads wise. It’s the stupid turnovers that made it a bad game for josh imo…I think he did a pretty admirable job moving the football given what he was up against. Cut out those bad turnovers and we could’ve won an ugly one 12-9. One was just a misread of the coverage and fumbles happen but that pick he threw while getting sacked was pretty unforgivable I did pre jags game and I will still claim that regardless of whatever emoji you put after the claim haha our pass blocking is exponentially worse than last year and he’s around about the same level of success…he performed about the same in both Steelers games this year and last year. He was absolutely horrendous against the titans and chiefs last year and he played more than well enough to win both of those games this year if you want to play the this year vs last year game -
This is gonna be ironic coming from a fan of a team that can’t run the ball at all but I don’t think the titans are really built for playoff success. Tannehill is just not a guy that can carry a team throwing the ball. The rules are so heavily in favor of passing the football now that ground and pound just doesn’t seem like the way. I think they’re always gonna be one of those teams that looks unbeatable at times throughout the season and maybe a playoff game or two but then they get absolutely stomped by somebody in the playoffs

I’m curious to see how much of our offensive line struggles are injury related…it’s incredible how much some of these guys have regressed since just last season. Darryl Williams was absolutely awful last week. Seems like losing Knox is when things started to go south

What prompted the change to our offense, and other questions?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could be this…but the pass blocking has been so bad this year that it’s hard to tell. A lot of the chiefs ‘bad offensive line’ complaints are really just mahomes dancing around trying to make a play and his linemen having no idea where he’s gonna be. Our guys straight up couldn’t block this past Sunday. I don’t think the scheme run against us has to be beat by running the ball…it would certainly help…but the jags could just sit on all the intermediate routes because they knew we wouldn’t have enough time in the pocket to work the ball down the field. I honestly can’t believe we got over 100 yards of offense in that game…josh takes a lot of grief for his 3 bad turnovers as he should but there’s a very short list of guys that could’ve stepped in at qb and pulled a win off under those circumstances How could we have possibly taken deep shots? There were quite a few times where the jags rushed 4 and still had guys coming through untouched lol we’re all saying the offensive line was bad but we’re still underselling it…they were absolutely horrendous. One of the worst performances by any unit on a football team I’ve ever seen in my life. Jags could just jam up all the short stuff knowing we’d have zero time to throw unless we max protected and if we max protected there were so many guys in coverage that it’s tough to do anything. Luckily we’re getting a lot of our injured guys back -

That’s definitely accurate…maybe they thought an OL there would’ve been a reach. There don’t seem to be many good ones coming out of college these days -

I mean realistically how could they have done that in this offseason? Maybe with hindsight being 20/20 draft an offensive lineman instead of basham? The cap was reduced this year and there arent a lot of quality offensive linemen hitting free agency anymore -

Generic_Bills_Fan replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
We were missing two starting olinemen and we lost the game because our pass blocking was literally nonexistent. So I think us missing people was a lot bigger issue than jax missing a RB….they only scored 9 points anyway. I doubt it’s them now and I’m pretty sure they’ll bounce back but I will say the conversation has definitely shifted from Super Bowl contender to focus on winning the division -

Yes a bad loss…defense was great and offense was horrible. Maybe we’re terrible going forward…maybe it was a one game thing. -

People just overreacting to a bad loss…it’s a very week to week league there’s really no way to know if we struggle going forward or this was an enigma when we get some of our injured guys back…we just had two injuries in an area we absolutely couldn’t afford -
11/7/21 Bills @ Jaguars Postgame Thread
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think we will be a super bowl ‘contender’ after this week…the offensive line has been bad all year even when healthy. He made some terrible decisions today but leading up to this game josh has been playing very well imo. The games where our offensive line was bad last year he was even worse than this -
NFL Teams have figured us out!
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to SC BIlls Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
This all hinges on being able to get there with 4 which is much easier when we’re missing two starting olinemen -

I think the two missing starters on the offensive line were the reason and the bills offense will bounce back…pats are good though don’t get me wrong
