Game Week thread - Bills at Jets
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s an interesting one…the rams took off towards the end of the season. They won 5 in a row then benched starters or it coulda been 6 then ended up taking the eagles down to the wire in the divisional. Not sure if that bills rams game qualifies as a trap game The jags game 100% is a great example though for sure 😂. That was awful -

That was an odd game…pretty sure we held them to 14 until late in the third. Mightve been a case of us goin a bit vanilla too early. We were up like 35-14 or something tail end of the 3rd -

I would love to know the percentage of games that people said have the makings of a letdown game actually becoming a letdown game 😂. Feels like it gets said every time we play someone bad and it hardly ever happens I think they will trend upwards eventually (unfortunately) but it’s probably gonna take them awhile to get in a groove with the new defensive scheme. It’s probably good we got the road game early -
Did Harbaugh Call Timeout Too Quickly?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Last Guy on the Bench's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they don’t handle adversity well because things are usually way too easy for them lol when games tighten up and a few Henry runs start getting stuffed they seem to panic. They just don’t feel like they have the clutch gene -
Josh's pass to Palmer that (more or less) won the game
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Low Positive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ravens fans have been saying awuzie looked pretty good but I thought him and Alexander were both varying degrees of bad. For a team so meticulously well built everywhere else I just don’t understand why they keep trying to plug in washed up veterans on 1 year deals at outside cb -
It’s the worthy trade clouding judgement…with worthy out for awhile Keon is gonna have a chance to catch him in games played and will likely pass him statistically once their games played even out. And that’s even with Keon falling off pretty hard post injury. From the nfl analyst narrative about that trade though you’d never know Keon has been putting up numbers when healthy lol he’s actually been more of a big splash play type player than even worthy has ironically enough…his yards per reception numbers are very high... has to be one of the most ‘twisting the narrative for a good storyline’ type things I’ve witnessed…not trying to say one guy is better than the other but they’re both gonna be good at what they do They must’ve picked him for the obligatory ‘we must call one penalty on the dbs to keep them somewhat honest’ because they knew he was too nice to complain lol

It’s so strange because they called such a soft hold on Dorian strong early then mostly let both teams play haha

This is a bizarre stat. Do you mean over 3? Lamar has 3 playoff wins and would have even more if he didn’t miss two whole playoff run opportunities due to injury and he’s won 2 mvps then you’ve got guys like Rodgers who has won 4 mvps and went to only 1 Super Bowl in 20 years so it’s really kinda a cherry picked stat especially with it applying to just qbs (had to exclude LT somehow to make your point I guess lol.)

John Harbaugh's legacy of blown leads
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was saying it all game…seems like they flood the middle of the field against the bills and give us all the underneath stuff. Then by just sheer force of will they fly all over the place rallying to the underneath throws and eventually gas out as the game goes on. Reminds me so much of Atlanta vs NE in the Super Bowl and really seems to be the common theme in their blown leads People are hand waving the result away blaming the fumble but maybe in this alternate reality where Henry doesn’t fumble the bills get the ball back and hit on the two pointer to tie it anyway i get the underneath throws got frustrating for fans but that’s the feeling DCs want Josh to get too…they’re trying to get him frustrated and forcing passes into high traffic areas -

Yea I’m all for not getting ahead of ourselves but with the sh*tshow the afc north is gonna be I feel like this game was massive and people aren’t really understanding how huge that comeback win was. the bills could be the worse team overall and are still very likely be the better seed than Baltimore based on this result. KC is still an unknown but there will be a game where kc and Baltimore play eachother and someone has to lose. KC is the big one now because we really want the situation where kc and Baltimore play eachother in the playoffs and we get to just clean up whoever wins that battle lol. Have to out-seed both teams to do that -

Since mcd has been around I think we’ve blown as many late two score leads against all teams total as the ravens have blown against just the bills lol. It’s honestly pretty wild. Seeing as Harbaugh can’t beat the bills or chiefs and keeps throwing these kinds of games away with probably the best roster for closing out games I just don’t understand why his seat doesn’t seem as hot as mcd’s. That superbowl win is becoming a more distant memory every year -

Ravens front office has gotta be pissed…I feel like they put a historically incredible team together every year and they oftentimes can’t even get by the team that can’t get by the chiefs lol there is not a team more well suited to protect late leads than the ravens and they just can’t do it -
How much better is the Ravens team on paper than the Bills?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Lamar injury was kinda a long term gift for their front office tbh.. it cost them a year of being very competitive (in a year the chiefs were at max offensive power) but no way they get Kyle Hamilton for 4 years on a rookie deal without that injury.. if Lamar doesn’t get hurt that year they probably go 12-5 and get the 1 seed -

Idk what the hell they’re doing at corner but other than that their roster is stacked lol feels like they just keep trying to start washed up veterans at outside corner and seeing as the pass rush isn’t great that’s really gonna hurt -

My guess would be the bills wanted mcduffie and the chiefs surprisingly traded up to steal him so we had to trade up to get the only other corner we had a high first round grade on that wasn’t as good of a scheme fit. Seeing as the cowboys ended up with Elam eventually I wonder if we were concerned they’d swipe him if we didn’t move up it was mostly dumb luck the ravens were in position to take Hamilton at all lol not only should he not have fallen that far but the ravens had to lose 5 in a row (4 extremely close games) after a Lamar injury to even have the 14th pick. Hamilton easily should’ve gone top 10 and probably should’ve gone top 5 so teams picking late in the first probably didn’t even see him as a trade up target. Hamilton had to have dropped because of his 40 time at the combine which is just dumb haha -
The Sunday night football producers literally picked the most boring people they could possibly find to do the pregame/postgame lol

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ehh idk…I think the ravens offense is even more all time stacked this year and sometimes you’ve just gotta win a shootout.. in the playoff game their outside WRs were absolute clowns with flowers out which made loading up against the run much easier. They had flowers and dhop this time. People are talking like this was the same offense we saw in the playoff game but they were considerably better. Bateman at WR1 really simplified the defensive gameplan idk how much of what we saw last night will apply to any of the other 30 teams in the league so the panic is likely a bit premature -
Eligible Receivers - 2pt Coleman Non-Catch
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh man I forgot about this rather silly rule 😂. I guess they have to let the defense treat receivers as blockers to give them a chance on plays where the qb scrambles that way…they can def take advantage and lock up a passing route though that was never realistically gonna become a blocker though. I remember the Seahawks just kinda tackling all the receivers on a play back in the tyrod taylor days -
Flowers being out in the playoff game def helped a lot…their receivers were not threats at all and could be single covered without help pretty easily Hopkins/flowers was a pretty big upgrade over Bateman/tylan Wallace/other random dudes

Jabrill Peppers cryptic tweet (now heading to Pittsburgh)
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Herc11's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rapp was the bigger problem yesterday…both were problems though. I think you’ve gotta roll with bishop and get him reps…he’s no worse than Hamlin he’s just different lol. If bishop diagnoses a play correctly he’s got the physical skills to make a play but Hamlin really has no chance despite being the smarter player right now -
I think they were 5 or 6 in defensive DVOA last year but I refuse to pay for a subscription 😂. They were bad early but shuffled some guys around and were pretty lights out the rest of the way. Granted most of the schedule was easy down the stretch but I wouldn’t be shocked if they were top 2 or 3 for the second half of the season after moving Kyle Hamilton to a more normal role. They were trying to do way too much with him early on

Yea it was an instant silent snap right when they got to the line…the lions do it some also but I don’t think that’s been thrown at us before really think Harbaugh should’ve saved that for the playoffs tbh
