If they played right now you may be right but the season doesn't end right now lol if the bills defense keeps improving they will be scary in the playoffs. Today's effort was encouraging the chargers have been rolling on offense

Thats certainly understandable but how do previous bills teams have anything to do with what this current team can do going forward this season... I keep seeing 'same old bills' posts every time an opposing team scores in the game day threads but we end up holding leads and finishing games unlike those bills of the entire last decade 🤣 clearly things are changing. Were assuming we are getting lucky and will start losing close games simply because bills teams of old did? It makes zero sense. This team is more likely to improve going forward than start losing close games ...the defense has been playing far below its potential. Likely because we had quite a few new pieces that couldn't get acclimated as easily due to the covid debacle.

Can someone explain to me why we should beat a team that historically never loses by multiple scores by multiple scores lol I keep seeing this in every thread and I just dont get it...we played the chargers tougher than anyone has all season. It took two back to back fumbles to keep this from a blowout. Is it simply because they're 3-7?

Honestly how were we flat? Do fans have an amount of points in mind that we have to meet? Joey Bosa obliterated us. I think this is unrealistic expectations on our part to be honest...quite a few of these games where we 'squander' leads we actually lead wire to wire and win lol no one is in the same league as the chiefs they are pretty close to '07 patriots good I respect that...I mean some people will view those back to back fumbles as poor execution that the team might continue and some will see it as a fluke. Were trying to project future outcomes based on the game today and the huge question mark for us being competitive has been the defense and they did their job.

Bills have been weak defensively all season and they finally stepped up against a good offensive team. They're not going to fumble on back to back drives every game. They made mistakes and still won quite comfortably. That is exactly what good teams that are perennial playoff contenders do.

That 3-7 team has not lost a game by more than one score all year...they lost two games by more than one score all season last year. And we were expecting a blowout?

Honestly the chargers are as competitive as all those teams excluding the steelers...I dont think they've lost a two score game all season until today.

That pass didn't look like it was caught up high to me it looked like the receiver plucked it out of the pile of defenders somehow but I'd have to see it again

Defense played great which was the big flaw heading into this game...2 fumbles were pretty flukey and they still won by two scores

I would say we don't really know if they are top tier yet...too many important players playing hurt and 2/3 of our losses were during a covid scheduling debacle. If the defense doesn't noticeably improve after the bye I would agree

Bills could get in at 10-6 with a loss to Miami now. That dolphins loss to Denver was enormous. Not sure where this high football iq dude is getting this stuff from 🤣 I dont think a team that just got handled by denver should feel great about their chiefs-pats-raiders-bills closing stretch

They had to bench the dude today because they fell behind are they gonna do that every week that they lose a lead? Honestly what is historic about their run? Lol has a team never won 6 in a row before? I think theyre not sure if he has the goods and theyre trying to decide if they should use Houstons first on a qb. Thats a game they thought they could win if they swapped him out for fitz but they'll still start tua going forward. Seems silly to me when you're a game out of the division lead but who am I to judge lol

I think anyone would tell you josh is an absolute freak of nature size/athleticism wise and his ceiling was high even back then though I dont think Tua is really in that category as much...not saying he won't be good though I just dont think he'll be great

It makes no sense to me because he was clearly only in there due to the long term plan and then they change their mind in the middle of this game? 🤣 like 'oh wait we are in the middle of a playoff race thats right'... what are they doing down there in Miami lol
