I believe multiple refers to multiple holds on the same play not multiple plays in a row

You can’t do that anymore that’s a 15 yard penalty for intentionally holding guys to run out the clock. Certainly could’ve tried jamming them for a bit though.

I agree with most of that except you’ve gotta be careful with intentional holds late in games now.:.they changed those rules after some harbaugh antics a few years ago lol 15 yard penalties for holds to manipulate clock these days. Should’ve rushed 2 and had more dbs on the field at the very least

Game is also over after one incompletion probably or one sack definitely if they start on the 25. It was the right call…it was really their first play that sunk us. That set them up pretty perfectly

Right I wouldn’t argue that specific situation was badly managed …but the general statement ‘the bend but don’t break school of losing football’ I didn’t agree with for multiple reasons. First being…I think you only rush 4 if you think you can get the sack to end the game. That was honestly an overly aggressive defense for the situation in my mind. A ‘true’ prevent defense probably wins that game.

Lol Because fans don’t know this rule changed and it’s a 15 yard penalty now and coaches do lol each time you intentionally hold multiple receivers in that situation it’s a 15 yarder. So they’re in fringe fg range after doing it twice with probably time for 1-2 plays and a fg. You could probably get away with holding one guy but idk how much that helps.

Squib gives your opponent the ball on the 40 or 50 yard line without killing much time sometimes…clock doesn’t start until the ball is touched. You also can’t intentionally hold players to manipulate clock anymore…they closed that loophole real fast after Harbaugh got away with it a few years ago. The real head scratcher is why we rushed 4 to me. I guess cuz 1 sack ends it ?

Oliver has been great imo. Ford is a fair point that’s about the only one as fans we really are sure about not being good. We also have to keep in mind we’re picking much later in rounds than we used to cuz we don’t suck anymore lol it’s a lot harder to find sure things if your first pick is in the bottom half of the round.
