Pats seem to destroy bad teams and consistently play pretty bad against good ones which mucks up their stats a bit. there doesn’t seem to be much of a correlation between how badly you beat bad teams and how you perform against good teams. The only quality win they had all season was against us where the once in a season weather event made the results pretty unpredictable

Pats are just another team with Brady gone…seems like it’s the absolute ball washing the media does for all things patriots that annoys people now but even the media outside of Boston has written them off and totally dropped the bucs vs pats Superbowl angle lol. I’m actually much more sick of kc and the pats winning would mostly make me mad because I don’t think they have any chance against them should they cross paths in the afc championship.

Ah yes the losers of 3 out of their last 4 games that fell from the 1 seed favorite to nearly out of the playoffs is talking smack. Now I’m kind of upset we missed tons of opportunities and didn’t beat them by 35 last time lol they were the inferior team by a long shot that game and it was a miracle for them that it wasn’t over before halftime they are lucky to be in the playoffs honestly…this is not the pats of old. Just ran into Cleveland and Tennessee at the right time injury wise or they would’ve missed.

I think they need to run less honestly and give mac a bit of a chance to win the game…they are some terrible execution by our offense in the first matchup away from running the clock out on themselves twice in a row. Colts game we were missing edmunds so we got stuck in the nickel all game and the colts also have one of the best rbs of all time I don’t think they have any chance duplicating that

Are you sure it actually moved down there and didn’t open at -3.5.? Everywhere I’ve looked it’s stayed the same and a random Sportsbook even had us at -6.5. Probably won’t move much until we get some injury reports…Barmore being out would be huge maybe it moved a little down when they announced his injury wasn’t ligament damage

Right no serious structural damage but likely still a very sore knee No chance the pats lost that game on purpose and had their starters go for 60 minutes…not sure if that’s what this guy is implying.

Fans are really judging the result and not the thought process which leads to us being unnecessarily critical on the coaching staff at times when things don’t work. The nature of being an offensive coordinator is calling up plays that defensive coordinators let alone hundreds of casual fans don’t really expect. for example that josh Allen outside run on 4th and short to seal the last patriots game…imagine how bad that play looks if we don’t pick up the first down there.

I don’t think there’s really any snow or wind in the forecast after the most recent update but it is going to be very cold

I feel like minimizing injury risk while still remaining competitive was the primary focus of that jets game…felt like we were playing with training wheels on at times. A few times josh had huge running lanes and just threw it away. Felt to me like he went off script late to put the game away but that’s just a gut feeling lol. we got through unscathed so mission accomplished if that was the goal. Pats got pretty banged up too

It’s because they don’t play as well against good offenses apparently…which is true for every single defense in the league 🤣. I do think the home weather inflates our defense stats a bit at the expense of offensive stats though

Why does a rb stuffing the ball between the tackles need to be what our running game looks like is the part I’m hung up on…there’s tons of ways to threaten run…that is just so terribly antiquated and not very successful for teams without an absolute freak of nature at rb

The point is kind of false though…singletary averaged 4.6 ypc in the regular season that’s pretty darn good especially for a dude that isn’t really built to break a huge 80 yard run. I don’t understand why a team with all these receiving weapons would want to pound the rock 35 times a game. We’ve just got a kind of warped sense of what a successful running game looks like because the colts absolutely obliterated us then the pats snuck out that wind game win seems like people blame us not being able to run when we run the ball a couple of times on a series then go 3 and out but even the most successful rushing team gets bottled up a lot of the time if you’re looking at each play. Like when a guy has 25 carries for 125 yards a good 10 of those could be for no or little gain. and when you’ve got the offensive weapons we do that is not always going to give you the best chance to win

The colts had one of the best performances by a rb in regular season history and where are they

Why in the modern nfl are you just ignoring qb rushing though…that’s the thing I never understand. Imagine ravens or cardinals fans saying that lol also singletary was towards the top of the league in ypc

I don’t think Allen scrambled as much this year compared to last year…a decent amount of our success was designed qb runs. We also iced quite a few games late running the ball with authority.

Yea I never understood that…the media presented the pats offseason like belichick did a full rebuild in one year but really he just added a qb whose shoulder isn’t broken and some role players. The core of the team is still on the older side

They might give them some problems now that TJ Watt is healthier…hopefully they rough them up a little

Could be just me and maybe this is a hot take but I have no confidence in Zac Taylor to win big games consistently. They will quickly have an opportunity to prove me wrong though lol We didn’t really play down to the competition I think we’re just a little spoiled as fans for the first time in years 🤣 any time we had a 10 point lead or less the game day thread went into full meltdown mode. It’s all relative now that Brady is gone and we will be the division favorite most years. If we have a tough schedule the pats second place schedule won’t be much easier

The chargers team back then reminds me of what happened to the bills during our super bowl runs…they were great but the afc had two other powerhouses with hof qbs that they had to compete with every year. Kind of like how we frequently saw an nfc east dynasty in the super bowl way back when.

Falcons game didn’t look that bad but yesterday driving into the wind looked very tough…Zach Wilson doesn’t have a weak arm by any means and he threw some very wobbly passes. We were darn near perfect when we were driving with the wind so it’s pretty hard to say the wind wasn’t a big factor

Oh yea that could definitely be true that they were messing with them. I don’t think they would’ve attempted a fg if jacobs picked up no yards on that final play but a short gain and they probably try it still. Maybe it was some clickbaity thing haha I did a search last night right after the night game and saw it at -5.5 somewhere…I’ll try to find it again

Would’ve been a 60ish yard fg if they kicked it…I doubt they would’ve even attempted that. They were not in any hurry to run a play before the LAC called timeout and it looked like the raiders players were telling the chargers on the field after the game that they were just gonna knee it out…we’ll never actually know for sure though
