  1. Should be an interesting game…I don’t doubt belichicks ability to minimize diggs’ impact this season but they’ve got a mostly new crew of linebackers who seem to have struggled against qbs that can run it does seem to me that with his elbow injury they are making a more concerted effort to not run josh as much though so I’m expecting a close one. Really gotta win this one for tiebreaker considerations with Miami if we want to take the division I think pats, dolphins, and bills will likely all make the playoffs though. Cincy overtook the jets as expected
  2. To be fair, Cleveland and Detroit are two of the best offenses in the league. We actually held Detroit under their average yardage/ point totals believe it or not lol. Cleveland was about 20 yards over their average but a big chunk of that was garbage time if we had klein instead of Bernard/Dodson for the jets game there’s no way they would’ve cracked double digits. Those two guys are just not nfl caliber yet. Kleins pretty average but Dodson has been awful so it’s a huge upgrade if edmunds is still out especially because he’s a solid run defender and the pats like to run
  3. It’s pretty wild how bad our second/third string linebackers were that Klein could come in essentially off the street and take all Bernard/Dodson’s snaps lol i cant believe people were calling for us to leave the nickel and put both those guys on the field at the same time when edmunds or Milano were hurt. im definitely more willing than most to give Frazier some benefit of the doubt depending on how the rest of the season goes big negative for beane thinking the depth at lb would be ok but a bit of a positive for picking up Klein to somewhat remedy the situation
  4. That could conceivably be the case this season come playoff time also. We’ve had a ton of injuries but only one ‘season ender’ I have even heard talk of hyde returning for the playoffs so who knows
  5. You can attempt a fg again if the snap is bad since it wasn’t 4th down. Odds are higher that that will happen than a kickoff return td. I don’t believe it was ‘panic’ at all. I’m actually not 100% sure on this but I’m pretty sure the holder can throw the ball away
  6. This seems to really have picked up in the last few weeks and my guess is it’s because people see Detroit and Cleveland as bottom feeders that aren’t good at anything. they are both just about top 5 teams in total offense though (Detroit was 6 before we played them and is now 7,Cleveland is 4). considering the injuries and the uncharacteristically impressive tight window throws Goff/brissett were making I really don’t think the defense has been that bad. they have made some absolutely massive plays this year at key moments
  7. That’s right you haven’t…because I don’t think anyone has ever played 3 away games in an 11 day span in nfl history
  8. I think the big problem we have had is Bernard/Dodson are just not nfl caliber players yet and one of Milano/edmunds has been injured pretty much every week of the season. That’s just way too big of a weak link to overcome on the defensive side when there’s 3 or 4 other high impact defensive starters injured also. Idk much about the lions injury situation but I doubt they’ve been missing their two starting guards all year crazy that Klein stepped in virtually off the street and took all the snaps from Bernard and Dodson.
  9. Hopefully they make some adjustments…I really think they expected gabe Davis to be winning a lot more 1 on 1 matchups but he’s been struggling finishing the catches. this is pretty much wild speculation on my part without watching all22s in awhile but it seems like teams know josh is playing hurt and that we are trying to minimize the qb running game which is making everything more difficult. It hasn’t seemed like a designed part of the offense in a very long time and when it happens it’s very late in the game with the game on the line.
  10. It’s frustrating because he has all the physical tools he’s just not making the plays
  11. Over under was 11.5 pre season…12 wins would be insanely impressive based on what we’ve dealt with if we’re talking regular season results
  12. I really thought essentially 13 seconds-ing the lions would restore order to the universe…I guess we’ll see
  13. New England got whooped a few times by dual threat qbs so here’s to hoping that continues. Chicago and Baltimore really roughed them up
  14. They’re doing a bad job determining the quality of players lost then imo…we decided extremely quickly that aj klein who was recently released by the bears was a better replacement for edmunds than Bernard/Dodson. I can’t think of another team that had a situation like that. I also doubt it factors in players lost midgame and players playing hurt (ex josh Allen,Jordan poyer) seems to me that they only factor in what they perceive as the quality of the player lost and not how big the falloff is to the replacement player that is forced into a starting role. That is an extremely flawed methodology imo hamlin, Dane Jackson, cam Lewis, Bernard/Dodson have all been somewhere in between pretty bad and horrible and they all play defense
  15. A lot of talk that mahomes was awful in his first camp so I’m not sure that’s true. Tyreek hill thought mahomes was ‘trash’ as a rookie
  16. Very much agree…there’s tons of other stats that mahomes benefitted from by sitting out a year and learning the offense too
  17. It’s really not excuses to bring these things up when we’re theorizing how future games are going to go. people are assuming the team is going to continue to play mediocre and there’s a lot of reasons why that may not be the case
  18. We were pretty mediocre 14 weeks into the season last year…I think we are far ahead of that this season when you factor in the wild amount of injuries
  19. I think he’ll finish with about 15 or 16 ints…it’ll certainly be a factor in why he doesn’t win mvp but theoretically there’d be a path for someone with that many ints to win it especially if they’re rushing for around 1000 yards. Josh might get some bonus points for having such a huge percentage of his teams total yardage and tds but it won’t nearly be enough it’s a silly award anyway imo…no idea why tyreek or Justin Jefferson aren’t getting more of a shot at it
  20. I’m watching this game on mute and I’m so confused at some of these things that are getting called/not called lol
  21. Mahomes has one of the best offensive lines in football and we have very much not that…Allen never really had a chance based on the supporting cast this season and his elbow injury. I don’t think there’s much of a chance that Allen gets back in the conversation but I do think it’s closer than it looks if that’s not contradictory at all 😂. Mahomes and Allen are pretty close in total tds and total yards
  22. I think they are game planning around his injury and he’s being limited some if I had to guess. The qb carries are mostly only popping up down the stretch in close games
  23. Lol Jameis Winston likely threw twice as many interceptions in 2019 as josh is gonna throw this year.
  24. MVP doesn’t even matter if guys like Justin Jefferson and tyreek hill aren’t considered as much as qbs are
  25. We actually don’t even know that hyde is out for the playoffs. Offensive line was the mess today and it sounds like no one is seriously injured. Morse wasn’t ready to go on the short week, Dawkins got hurt midgame and was questionable to return which forced quessenberry in who was playing hurt. tough to take advantage of the favorable passing matchups when your offensive line can’t block anybody. id expect to get edmunds and maybe Rousseau back also on this mini bye week as well as morse and probably Dawkins although I didn’t hear what his injury ended up being. initial reports seem to be that von millers knee injury isn’t as serious as it looked. Sounds like it’s gonna be a 3 or 4 game-er
