I would say we don't really know if they are top tier yet...too many important players playing hurt and 2/3 of our losses were during a covid scheduling debacle. If the defense doesn't noticeably improve after the bye I would agree

Bills could get in at 10-6 with a loss to Miami now. That dolphins loss to Denver was enormous. Not sure where this high football iq dude is getting this stuff from 🤣 I dont think a team that just got handled by denver should feel great about their chiefs-pats-raiders-bills closing stretch

Or if the other team doesn't turn the ball over and they make Tua actually have to lead an offense that scores points lol. They had to bench the dude today because they fell behind are they gonna do that every week that they lose a lead? Honestly what is historic about their run? Lol has a team never won 6 in a row before? They're literally outside of the playoffs right now and were talking about them being potentially an elite team? 🤣 they may not even be a 'playoff mix' team

I think theyre not sure if he has the goods and theyre trying to decide if they should use Houstons first on a qb. Thats a game they thought they could win if they swapped him out for fitz but they'll still start tua going forward. Seems silly to me when you're a game out of the division lead but who am I to judge lol

I think anyone would tell you josh is an absolute freak of nature size/athleticism wise and his ceiling was high even back then though I dont think Tua is really in that category as much...not saying he won't be good though I just dont think he'll be great

Tua did NOTHING in that game...or really any game for that matter. Dude likely isn't it. Thank goodness Herbert didn't go to the dolphins. Im all for you making your dolphins decades long dynasty prediction because it brings some extra excitement to these boards 🤣 but the dolphins didn't do a whole lot with their draft picks and there is really no evidence they'll be hitting any home runs in the draft next year either.

Exactly...lamar is still a great player he just can't reach the impossibly high bar that was set for him by the talking heads...that level of play last season as never going to continue its nothing against him. I cant help but think milano couldve played through his injury but we looked at the slate of AFC games to close out the season and figured it was smarter to let him heal up...but that is a complete guess of course I dont think we can ever play the 'should have lost' card again after what happened to us last night lol a defensive linemen stripping the ball from a quarterback is much more likely than that ridiculous hail mary

I cannot for the life of me fathom how the loss yesterday in any way proves his style of coaching is unsustainable lol the dude overperformed with below average talent in previous years and is now atop the division with a lot of his key playmakers on defense playing injured/not playing at all. even if Miami is this juggernaut that you say they are he is still well positioned to make the playoffs with a defense that is much more likely to improve going forward than regress. How does Miami playing great make our coaching staff worse lol I still can't comprehend that. Also how is the path to the division being permanently shut in the future based on a dolphins 2020 winning streak haha this is an incredible take...is it a guarantee that Miami is going to draft great players? Are they somehow not constrained by the salary cap like every other team? What recent dolphins draft picks have done anything? Tua hasn't proven anything yet..Christian Wilkins is ehh, Michael deiter does nothing, Isaiah prince is gone, Austin Jackson is bad, igbinoghene is terrible, Robert hunt is bad, raekwon davis hasn't done anything, the list goes on. Miami is the team who's window is now and closing you have it backwards. You need your guys on rookie contracts to consistently ball out or an elite quarterback that can put the team on his back to have some kind of epic patriots-esque dynasty and at this point they may have neither but we will see. They traded a lot of top talent to acquire draft capital and did absolutely nothing with it...imagine if they had Minkah Fitzpatrick right now my goodness People have this notion that a rookie qb is going to consistently improve week after week and that is far from the case

I kind of agree with you here...all the teams left on both teams schedule(except for the jets) are teams that are built to compete with anybody. Idk how anyone can guarantee the dolphins beat any of them including a jets team desperate for a win to avoid that 0-16 mark. I've gotta give the edge to a battle tested bills team at this point but that could definitely change.
