  1. At the end of the day both coaches seemed to agree to not finish the game. If one coach doesn’t want to restart the game and one does, then you might see a forfeit. But I doubt that’s going to happen. I really don’t think the bengals could’ve played in those conditions either…they might not have known demar personally but I’m sure it really shook them up as well. Especially Higgins
  2. His vitals being stable is not really the cause for potential concern at this point so there’s not a whole lot of info they could’ve said to put anyone at ease. His heart rate is normal now and they have him on a ventilator to ease his brain back into resuming normal activity while they monitor things but until they take him off that they really won’t know if there’s any long term damage. I think they have ways of telling if there is really serious brain damage while the patient is sedated so no news is good news at this point
  3. I find it hard to believe the cincy oline would continue to be allowed to hold as badly as they were for 4 quarters so I think the bills were moving the ball easier in reality. There was an absolutely egregious hold on just about every offensive snap for cincy. At some point the bills dline was going to take over or the bills would have stopped blitzing if they were just letting holds go in this one. It’s hard to say what would’ve happened defensively
  4. Assuming the ‘it was mcdermotts decision to not put his players out there to finish the game’ point is true , there’s no way I’d even consider doing anything to be an nfl company man after the actions of last night if I were McDermott. in that scenario McDermott and Taylor stepped in and saved the NFL from making possibly the biggest blunder in sports history and that’s how you’re gonna repay his team who has battling through adversity all year? if the nfl decides on a makeup date and the bills decide not to play, I’d leave it up to the bengals if they want the game to be treated as a forfeit or not but I would certainly not conclude a bills forfeit is the only option if I were the league .
  5. I think the bengals would ‘forfeit’ too in solidarity based on how it’s been handled by them so far and it would go down as a tie
  6. The bills were behind but getting the ball to start the second half so that really doesn’t mean anything. Given how easily we were moving the ball too it could’ve easily been a double dip scenario I find it hard to believe the bills were losing that game…any thought of ‘they should be happy if it goes down as a tie’ or ‘they wouldve lost the game if Hamlin didn’t get injured anyway so why not take the extra rest’ is not necessarily accurate imo. It was going to be a shootout and the bengals have an immobile qb with a timebomb at RT.
  7. Bengals had a huge weak link on the offensive line that the bills wanted to test…nfl seemed to decide this was a ‘let them play’ game though and the bengals oline was holding badly on every play. Not sure if they would’ve cracked down on it as the game went on but it was very noticeable
  8. What makes you say Allen was going to be pressured? The bills offensive line was absolutely obliterating the bengals in the running and passing game. That was certainly headed for a shootout and I would’ve had my money on buffalo honestly…bills are pretty much unstoppable when they can run the football and I’d take the bills getting one or two stops over the bengals doing so seeing as Burrow is immobile and their RT was horrendous and getting away with obvious holds the whole first drive If the bills had the first possession and punted, maybe you get into the discussions about them potentially being too far behind to come back with the defense struggling to get stops. But as it stood I see no reason to assume the bills wouldn’t have marched right down the field and matched a bengals td
  9. I just can’t see a forfeit…I think the nfl will choose a potential makeup date and leave it up to the teams whether they want to play. given how the bengals have handled things so far I doubt they’d push for the game to be played which is what it would take for the game to be treated as a bills forfeit imo. And if the nfl decides not to have a game it’s not going to be treated as a forfeit
  10. Yea I think our oline has hit their groove run blocking too. I’ve seen people saying cincy was on their way to a win but I just don’t see it. The way the game was going I think the bills would’ve won a shootout and at worst for us it was up in the air
  11. Also I don’t think cincy can catch us for the 2 seed if the game goes unplayed so it does have a pretty big impact…although whatever they end up doing will
  12. This situation likely wouldn’t have happened otherwise…the bills would be playing for the 1 and 2 seed if they lost to the bengals and played all their starters. I don’t think it’s a large enough complaint to effect any of the decision making but it’s certainly going to affect the playoff picture pretty significantly if the bills rest starters
  13. There’s no way they play the cincy game after the week 18 games imo. It’s either gonna be in the next few days or not at all I’m assuming whatever they do they’re going to leave the final decision of whether to play up to both teams
  14. I’m not at all saying you’re wrong about what should happen but i don’t believe a lot of this is true. The NFL would absolutely slide the bills pats game back if they end up deciding they want to attempt to reschedule the game later this week. I’m sure they will give the teams the final word on whether they want to play or not and the bills very likely will decline anyway and I really can’t see the bengals pushing for it to be counted as a forfeit there will absolutely be games this weekend though
  15. Or against us…we were beating the Vikings worse at halftime than the bengals would’ve been beating us if they scored the td before the game was stopped. I think we’re undefeated when losing at halftime this season funny enough.
  16. I’m hoping we all hear good news on Hamlin long before then. I’d think we’d know a lot about the prognosis whether it’s good or bad by Wednesday. Praying for good news…the early signs seem encouraging
  17. Yea…idk why people are assuming it’s easy to book like 100 hotel rooms at the last possible minute. Even if they knew they’d have to come back to Cincinnati Tuesday they probably would’ve flown home last night still so that’s not proof of anything either way
  18. For me it’s more that the players fought through so much adversity all year that they deserve a shot at competing for that top spot should they want that chance. It doesn’t at all matter what we want I would certainly agree with you there. I’d like to see them at least get the option to complete the game even if they turn it down
  19. if positive news is coming it will be within the next several days. It sounds like his heart function returned to normal last night but they will leave him intubated for a few days to monitor things so he is not out of the woods yet.
  20. As far as we know neither did the bengals though. Even if they went up 14-3 it was with an extra possession. The bills really had no problem driving down the field. I was a bit surprised to not see the bills go for that 4th and 3…that implies there was some level of confidence in the defense
  21. Mahomes threw a game losing interception against us when we were missing a bunch of defensive starters in their home stadium. baltimore was up 20-3 on us in their home stadium when we were missing a bunch of defensive starters and Lamar threw a game losing interception.
  22. On the flip side we were winning in the offensive trenches quite handedly and had already piled up quite a bit of rushing yards. Bills are pretty tough to stop when they can run the football and get good pass protection i would expect the bills to come up with a key sack or two with the bengals playing an absolutely horrible RT. I have no idea who was gonna win this one. Maybe if the bills got first possession and went down 14-3 I’d be closer to seeing where you were coming from but neither of those things happened Even if we go down 14-3 there’s a pretty good shot we would’ve come up with the td to make it 14-10
  23. To be fair I don’t think that’s the ‘only’ thing they’re thinking about. If the nfl discusses continuing the game I would certainly want it left up to the players whether they actually want to continue or not. You can care about Hamlins health and think the situation is a bit unfair…it’s not an either/or that’s my guess as to how it’s going to go down…nfl will offer a reschedule and leave it up to both teams and if both teams agree they don’t want to play the game it won’t be counted.
  24. If they cancel the game I’m pretty sure you’re right about how it’s going to go down. It’s pretty wild that kc essentially gets 2 gifts in one though…cincy had a shot at the 1 seed too
  25. The bills held the chiefs to 20 missing like all their dbs
