That’s the most likely scenario…the guy hurt his elbow and then threw an absolute rocket on the next pass is all we know for a fact. everything else was nfl reporters tweeting in a way like ‘bills fear josh Allen may have a serious elbow injury’

That tweet from rapoport seems like he doesn’t want to admit he was wrong about the severity of the injury initially.

I don’t think they’d be playing josh at all if there was a moderate risk of the injury getting worse regardless of 1 seed implications. What good is the 1 seed if your qb is playing at 75%. this seems like a case of reporters rushing to get a story out there and getting it wrong to me. I doubt his elbow is even sprained I don’t think the bills ever confirmed that part of it even

I think he’s only playing because they likely determined he wasn’t really putting anything on the line future injury wise lol that is a nice sentiment though and got me fired up for the game though ngl

That’s a fair point but I think this injury is likely extremely minor. To the point where if a qb did not play through injuries of this severity they would likely never play lol I don’t believe the bills even confirmed it was an elbow sprain so even that part of it seems like wild speculation

If his injury is serious enough where he could dress but not start they would’ve called up Barkley imo

Dude went from his career potentially being over to playing the next game in 6 days lol not only does that mean he’s playing…it probably means he’s very close to fine if Allen was playing through a semi serious injury that they weren’t sure how he’d respond to in a game they would’ve dressed Barkley

I’d be pretty surprised if Barkley doesn’t get elevated either way

I doubt it but the dolphins did that recently with bridgewater/Thompson so I guess it does happen. Thompson got the start with teddy banged up but teddy was active

I’d expect the chiefs to be the underdog in that hypothetical playoff game even at home…assuming the bills injury situation is reasonable by then if we want to talk small sample size playoff stats the bills have never lost as a favorite in a playoff game with josh starting

The avalanche of defensive injuries is my concern really…I think we would’ve won this game pretty comfortably no matter the qb if the defense was a little less banged up

I still think it’s oversimplifying the situation calling diggs for Jefferson a trade cuz it depended on Philly straight up blowing it with the reagor pick for it to work out that way haha Jefferson should’ve gone to Philly and the diggs trade should have been a steal

I think it’s getting oversimplified how much the defensive scheme for Minnesota would change based on the bills qb. although I doubt they’re doing all this as smoke and mirrors to fool Minnesota. Im sure they genuinely want to wait and see how Allen’s elbow is Sunday

I would put less stock in the previous playoff games than our game vs kc post tyreek hill…would be my response if he responds with that 😂. Those first couple losses against kc a few years ago our team wasn’t really on their level so they should not get equal weight as the game this year imo. Especially the first playoff game where all our receivers were playing very injured

Where we’ve won 2 of our last 3 and were seconds away from 3/3. Kc is lookin mortal as ever though…it took the worst qb of all time starting and a very impressive effort from the refs to sneak the chiefs past the titans

Meh…if it happened with some of Milano/Rousseau/poyer/tre white in the lineup I’d be more concerned. One concern would be we seem thin at LB because all the jets did was pick on Bernard and it was enough. If Milano was in the lineup I don’t think they would have hit double digits. I know injuries are no excuse yada yada, but we were missing 3 or 4 all pro level guys on the defensive side that are all returning soon. It’s not like we were missing average players that were replaced by slightly worse guys

It’s a funny Rock Paper Scissors scenario in the afc playoffs with what the matchups can be lol I think buffalo matches up well against Miami and kc and SD but maybe not as well against Tennessee and baltimore despite us blasting ten in the regular season.
