Our coach is Mike McCarthy with no hair.

Maybe I’ll warm up to it haha I really liked both fg calls but I’m so mad about other things that I haven’t revisited the punt after the fact. 4th and short is tough when the defense knows you wouldn’t dare run it…that playbook gets real small. I think an OT game should benefit us since we rotate dlinemen but we just cannot win a close game this year -
Yea that’s kind of my point…we had absolutely textbook no doubter holds/PIs on Tampa that were not called so what gives. Clearly you’re not letting both teams play because you’re flagging one team for them. That play where diggs’ jersey gets stretched for 5 yards in the first half was literally laughable…romo laughed and said ‘how is that not PI’ 😂 I have no doubt the nfl reviews that and feels similarly that we got a bit robbed and who knows maybe we start getting calls in the future Yep I’m totally on board with that… I think we’re due for some questionable calls going our way after that one. Sucks that the division was super winnable if we win that game…just goes to show you how important each individual play is. If Josh’s foot is an inch to the right we were right in the thick of it. Now we’re 60/40 to make the playoffs. Kind of deserved after blowing a game to the jags. It’s just rough because it’s one of those things you just know is gonna happen…I’m still fired up about the nonsense that won Tampa it’s week 1 game over Dallas and that’s an all nfc game that I shouldn’t even care about haha

Right I think the pats have little to no shot at winning 4 playoff games as it stands despite being easily the most consistent team in the afc. Some silly team is going to get very hot at the right time and they’re not going to be able to win a shootout. Winning 2 games to get to the super bowl if they get the bye…sure I can see that. I want to add a disclaimer to this and say I haven’t seen the pats get any super favorable officiating like the bucs got last night they are playing well and have not needed any extra help lol but if we win last night the division title is a coin flip with us almost guaranteed to having the division tiebreaker
-
Oh yea I think we have had this same convo in like 3 different threads 😂 but if it was just that late questionable no call on that diggs play I would be a lot more understanding and totally agree with you. We got flagged 5 times for DPI/holding most of which was a lot softer than what the bucs were doing all game. We threw 50+ times on them and despite trying to remove diggs’ jersey at every possible opportunity their dbs get called for 0 penalties out of 50+ passing plays? Something is not right there…over the course of the game the bad calls usually even themselves out but everything went the bucs way this game right down to the spots. Obviously in a huge moment late in a game refs don’t like to insert themselves into the conversation but they very much owed us that call and it was clear PI and not even close to controversial if they throw a flag there
-
I mean the most blatant uncalled pi in the game happened in the first half and cost us 3 or 7 points. Also getting the bye is ENORMOUS especially in the NFC. I don’t think the bucs can run that 3 game gauntlet to get to the Super Bowl. Bucs likely weren’t gonna catch the packers if we won last night. The only reason they are the 1 seed is because Aaron rodgers missed the chiefs game with Covid to begin with
-
Yea I think we’re having a bit of a boy who cried wolf moment here…complaints about the refs are not gonna be taken seriously if you complain about the refs every time there’s a bad call 😂 but to me at least this game was special…in a bad way of course. How the bucs secondary skated through that game not getting called for a single penalty is absolutely mind boggling but obviously nothing can be done about it now. Other people might say it’s an anti bills thing but every time I see a game like this Tom Brady is on one of the teams so I don’t think it has anything to do with the bills lol he was getting that opportunity for a walk off win in OT to set the passing TD record unless diggs was decapitated in the end zone.
-
Totally agreed with the Wallace call they had absolutely no business making that call especially after the diggs no call. They were missing pi’s on the bucs all night or I would totally agree with you…50+ passes…5+ blatant jersey grabs…not a single flag against the bucs for pi/holding. So the whole ‘you know that’s probably a penalty but we don’t want to be the story of the game’ narrative from the refs just doesn’t fly on that diggs play at the end of regulation…they have to throw the flag there. Then the audacity to call Wallace for dpi in OT is just incredible
-
Definitely a hindsight thing…we were saying the exact opposite after the TEN game and TEN was straight up embarrassing our defense down the stretch in that game. Based on the flow of this game I think OT was the right call especially because the bucs run defense is so good so it was a guaranteed passing situation despite being a 4th and 3. Fake punt was pretty terrible and the decision to punt late in the third was bad also but I didn’t hate the fg there
-
He was handfighting too that wasnt the penalty…Davis loses position and falls down completely on his own and tugs diggs down with him from the jersey which is 1000% PI that gets called every single time. If you watch the replay Davis is smashing the ground with his hand in disgust knowing he committed pi and blew the game lol he must’ve been shocked when he didn’t spot a yellow flag. Any time you’re grabbing jersey you’re getting flagged unless you’re playing the buccaneers on December 12th…I’ve honestly never seen anything like that they were straight up grabbing jerseys all night my best guess on that big no call at the end of regulation is the refs thought they got their feet tangled up and Davis fell into diggs but that’s not at all what happened still waiting for some of these huge calls to even out for us it just doesn’t seem to be happening this year…this is more in the ‘we could’ve done more to win’ camp but way back in week 1 Big Ben threw a pick 6 right after halftime for us to go up 17-0 and it got called back on the softest hold ever

Insane Stat of the Day Josh Allen.

Guarantee you they’d be designing runs for him regardless…it’s just so hard to account for unlessssss you can get quick interior pressure which is what has been happening to us of course lol -

I thought the fg was definitely the right choice…the punt towards the end of the game though on 4th and 3 I very much did not like and still don’t even though we pretty much won that game as far as I’m concerned no matter what anybody says 😂 -
Yea I may agree with those people if we didn’t get shafted in the first half too 😂 this wasn’t like one questionable PI not getting called late in a game. Some of the reason we were down big in the first half is our receivers getting held it’s not like you can only pick ‘the team didn’t show up in the first half’ or ‘the refs screwed us in the end’ lol I’ve watched Brady led teams get the benefit of the doubt on just about every crucial play for years whether in Tampa or NE and I for one am tired of it. If that happened against another team I might not have minded as much…these kind of calls are supposed to even out over a big sample size and they just don’t in Brady’s case. It’s not like I blame him either it’s not his fault the nfl has promoted him to mythic status and his team gets all the tossup calls. It was pretty funny watching some bad calls go our way against the pats this season…I am not used to that yet 😂
-
It was surreal hearing romo call out how obvious the penalties were lol normally those guys blindly defend the refs. Romo was literally laughing at the calls 😂 yea I’m pretty shocked about that late call on Wallace…if I’m the refs I let that go and people would probably treat it as a makeup call even though it was definitely not a penalty anyway…bad pi calls/no calls could’ve literally swung this game 20 points…that early rip of diggs’ jersey cost us at least 3 in the first half…bucs got a few real iffy ones in their favor leading to tds too although they may have scored anyway. That late no call on diggs cost us 4 and the win…Wallace’s I think was on 1st or second down so they could’ve scored anyway but that got us for 6
-
It was a bit more of a team effort in that second half than when josh is out there and nobody else can do anything If we’re not playing against Brady I think we probably get that call…league wants them in the superbowl badlyyyy and they have to run a gauntlet of great nfc teams if they don’t get the 1 seed so I’d expect anything remotely questionable to go TBs way the rest of the season. Heck a much softer call than that saved us against the rams last year
-
Yea these were as egregious of a hold as I’ve ever seen… I don’t think human error can possibly factor in. A jersey pull is absolutely always called I have never seen anything like any of these Yep they were holding the entire first half also…someone that has the stomach for it could likely go through and take tons of screenshots. That definitely factored in to our low point total. It’s absurd how hot we got despite that going on and it’s a crime that the refs just chose the winner at the end Yea this might be the most obvious penalty on a defensive back in history and it was impossible to miss…dudes jersey was stretched out 5 yards long lol pretty sure there’s an official assigned to every receiver and a back judge so that’s 100% unmissable and seems like the bucs dbs were just allowed to be handsy…which is the weakness of their team so not great for us haha if Tom Brady was on our team our defense would likely get gifted tons of offensive holding calls on the other team 🤣

Myth or Fact: we can't stop the run...
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Likely gonna win at least 3 out of 4 though…scheduling had some to do with that I hope the weather hurt us more than the pats but I’m not so sure…we’ll find out soon lol -
I wouldn’t say anti bills I’d say pro Tom Brady…I can’t recall ever seeing an nfl game not involving Tom Brady officiated in such a one sided manner…they’ve been gifted a few wins this year on dubious no calls that other teams just don’t get. Godwin got away with a brutal OPI in week 1 to beat the cowboys that one immediately comes to mind. Shoved the defender with both hands at the top of his route. Last night was a perfect example of not calling it fair…like yea you can mess up as a ref we get it it’s a fast paced game. But the bucs despite all their obvious holding aren’t flagged once for it? And the game winning bucs drive in OT is extended on a bad holding call? Come on. Diggs was handfighting with the guy sure but the db fell and tried to take diggs with him because he knew he was beat…if you watch the replay the defender knew it was pi and slammed the ground in disgust after the play it’s pretty comical. Terrible terrible no call
-
Lol I was just having a little fun I apologize… that did sound like something he would say though didn’t it? Haha I’ll rephrase it to dragging someone hanging onto your jersey is going to 100% impede your route and jersey pulls even half as bad as that are called every single time. That was an absolute freak occurrence of a no call
-
In what way did it go both ways in that game? Lol I think that’s kind of the point people are making…I mean we got a net gain of 4 yards on a roughing the passer call? We throw 50+ times and not a single hold or dpi on them?…that’s pretty questionable before you even get into the handful of absurdly obvious holds. The rule of thumb is if the commentators are openly trashing the refs it’s gotta be pretty bad and romo was calling all of that out haha the nfl does not at all like when they do that 😂
-
If he’s talking about the pats game I’m kind of with him…we got a few gifts in that one and got screwed a few times in that one. It’s also impossible to say pi/holding was being called inconsistently when the pats only have to pass the ball 3 times haha last night though went way past ‘well the refs are human’ type explanations like there’s no way you’re missing guys jerseys getting stretched all day . And it wasn’t a ‘let them play’ type game because we were getting flagged for some questionable holds…so what was it?
-
Yea I would’ve put us as the division favorite if we didn’t get robbed last night that’s why that one hurt so much
-
Why are you talking about a different game than us 😂 maybe there’s a bit of a ‘cry wolf’ situation but objectively last night the winner was chosen by the refs. Any other game I’d agree with you. That did not pass the eye test last night…you’ve got ex nfl officials and the cbs commentators saying the bills got screwed live on air that almost never happens. Pats game id def agree with you we had some terrible calls help us too
