  1. OK if they go edge rusher in round 3 too then I will stop defending them 🤣
  2. Playing just fine against us last year isn't really high praise hence us doubling up on defensive linemen 🤣 I do hear ya though but let's at least try to generate some pressure and see if they hold up. Forcing kelce to stay in and block more would be huge I can't wait til that guy retires
  3. Theyre pretty stout at guard cuz they overpaid a bit for Thuney but who do they have at tackle...your oline is really only as good as your weakest guy.
  4. Its the most important unit on the football field. Could make a case for oline too if we didn't have such an athletic qb.
  5. Haha 'brainwashed' aka replicating the only formula to slow down mahomes 🤣
  6. Lol its such a foreign concept for us to have a late first round pick after being pretty bad for over a decade. If we end up on the low end of rousseaus potential and hes just a serviceable starter that's still a good result. Yea we'll all complain about the hall of fame guy or two that got picked late in this draft but im sure every team does that haha
  7. This is a thing people are saying? Lol everyone and their mother knew Maybin was too small to play linebacker let alone defensive end. Rousseau is an absolute freak of nature hes big and fast. Not sure what we were thinking with the Maybin pick maybe we thought we could bulk him up and it just didn't work out. I think rousseau will be phenomenal at best and average at worst which is exactly what you'd want with the 30th pick Maybin was a huge risk that early in the draft that had a super low floor
  8. Two teams that could least afford any draft mistakes with the chiefs and chargers in their division. I would just trade down for 10 straight years if I was the raiders or broncos lol
  9. Imagine what would've happened to Zach Wilson's draft stock if he sat out last year lol rousseau could definitely have been an absolute animal and we'll just never know Yea I thought we were going corner but Asante Samuel Jr seemed like a bit of a reach
  10. I get the vibe that belichick really wanted fields and is probably disappointed. Cam as a bridge qb to Mac Jones just doesn't make sense to me they are polar opposites
  11. Rodgers was groomed in a good situation. Zach wilson is getting thrown to the wolves on a team with holes all over the place that couldve hit home runs at a ton of other positions with the number 2 overall pick. We did something similar with Josh I feel like but Josh works so hard on his game in the offseason and I just dont get that same vibe from Wilson. Thats based on nothing though so maybe he'll prove me wrong lol
  12. Haha I don't think anyone actually did they were just having fun with it...as jj was as well
  13. The odds of them making the playoffs are much lower than ours though lol their division is brutal with a healthy SF
  14. Its kind of hard to evaluate our defensive line since the gameplan against us is to get rid of the ball as soon as possible... apparently we were 2nd in the league in pass rush win rate somehow lol we definitely do not have an elite player on the defensive line though that teams have to pay extra attention to that is for sure The talent around him on the texans defense has pretty much completely evaporated so its tough to analyze him with a stat sheet alone...teams could probably triple watt and be fine going one on one with everyone else lol This comment wins no matter what side of this anybody is on 🤣
  15. Did you have the game on mute and avoid all football related media this season? Lol They were talking about how he could win more super bowls than brady while being destroyed....by tom brady 🤣 mahomes did not play anywhere near his best in the super bowl and i guarantee you he would tell you the same thing if you asked him. His game was eerily similar to Josh's against the chiefs...oline can't block so you try to do too much yourself and get mixed results. For every stunningly athletic play there is an equally headscratching bad sack/bad read
  16. I think this supposed 'decline in production' is a direct result of who he was playing with...name one other texans defensive linemen lol I cant...watt was probably doubled all season
  17. Right thats what I was getting to lol I guess he's gonna get an even better chance to prove he can carry the team by himself when he loses a few weapons. Im certainly not saying he's incapable he's just never really had to. That's why that super bowl was so eye opening to me its like they had never seen adversity before and they completely collapsed from top to bottom. Yea the offensive line was bad but they either did nothing to help mahomes out or he did nothing to help himself I cant tell which
  18. To clarify i wouldnt say I blame him for the loss at all I just think the supposed greatest quarterback in the history of football couldve done a better job keeping them in the game. He showed some impressive athleticism but he was straight up panicking and not even giving plays a chance late in that game...he was takin snaps and immediately running 20 yards backwards like people did with Michael Vick in the old madden games 🤣 maybe Andy Reid wasn't calling plays to alleviate the pass blocking issue and its all on him...its tough to tell from just seeing the broadcast angle of the game.
  19. When did we start giving qbs credit for incomplete passes lol I have honestly never seen anything like this...yea he lobbed up some on target-ish passes that were frequently tipped by bucs defenders or his receivers took shots or gave up on the play because they didn't think they were getting the ball. When the game mattered every completed pass I can remember was to a comically wide open travis kelce...mahomes did what we all accuse josh allen of and he did it the entire game start to finish...likely because he's never been in that situation before
  20. I dont mean to take away from mahomes but its pretty rare a first or second year qb gets dropped into a lineup who's already in their super bowl window...im not sure he deserves all the credit for their super bowl appearances That is a fact for sure but its tough to tell how much of that pressure was avoidable by looking to shorter routes/check downs. Yea his offensive line played bad but if you keep taking 30 step drops and getting sacked trying to throw bombs all over the field thats definitely on you too lol
  21. I for one hope he doesn't stop attempting literally the winning game plan haha but like your side I do hope they add some defensive linemen in the offseason. Our front 4 as a unit was above average but its just not enough for how we scheme things up
  22. They hardly blitzed at all lol it was the same soft defense...in fact I'm willing to bet they blitzed far less than the regular season meeting. Chiefs just couldn't provide mahomes with enough time to run the plays they like to run and andy Reid did not at all adjust. Idk what is going on here do people see pressure and assume blitz? I think they blitzed 5 times max. He literally changed almost nothing from their first meeting 🤣 Ah just saw you posted the same thing haha people are crowning Bowles and ripping our coaching staff a new one and Bowles literally swiped our game plan...it is comical 🤣 being aggressive is what gets you demolished against kc and blitzing more wouldve worked against the bucs Sunday night. Listen to all the kc players interviews where they talk about how hard it is for them to make plays with 2 defenders over the top all night. Bucs got a nice gift with fisher being injured where by the second half there wasn't even enough time for kelce to find holes in the zone on short routes...if you remember correctly kelce was absolutely torching them in the first half
  23. This wouldve helped us immensely as well if we had the crew that was in the super bowl game...I cant fault the chiefs for taking advantage but they really mask the one weakness on their team by being overly physical on the back end. That really opened us up to all kinds of exotic blitzes from them.
  24. Lol not 'rocket science' ...thats exactly what I'm saying. The bucs installed the same vanilla, soft 2 high safety coverage look as us and we are talking like Bowles is some kind of legendary coach and our coaching staff is hopeless and should all be fired 🤣 kelce got whatever he wanted underneath against the bucs the dude had like 5+ catches for 100 yards at halftime and was consistently wide open. The bucs had some help with being able to attack a practice squad level player on the chiefs offensive line and the chiefs oline was absolutely gassed in the second half when they needed to work the ball deep down the field to get back in the game. We can't directly compare our teams efforts to the bucs just because we both played the same team. Losing fisher completely sunk them and their coaching staff made 0 adjustments honestly I feel much better about the bills coaching staff after seeing that game not worse. If we had four quarters against the fisher-less chiefs i dont think we wouldve looked as dominant as the bucs but we wouldve gotten pretty consistent pressure. They had to shuffle players all over the place
  25. Yea that I wouldnt disagree with our dline was very mediocre this year despite the heavy investment ...but gameplan wise we were spot on and quite often we are the team providing the blueprint on how to beat these top teams which is why we keep hearing about Leslie Frazier getting head coaching looks. Obviously watching the chiefs complete an eight yard pass almost every play was frustrating but if we went to some blitz happy press man coverage we likely get beat even worse by the chiefs
