I think the rotation is helping a lot late in games but is it worth it? I have no idea lol we’ve had a few games where our defense was on the field nonstop without much of a dip in quality Could be part of it…I’m sure moving a guy from RT to LT like two days before the game wasn’t a great situation either
-
And the Steelers defense at full strength 😂 In the games where we faced backup qbs the backups weren’t far behind their starting counterparts lol kind of a mixed bag though we got kc without chris jones and NO missing a bunch of offensive players

Week 16: Bills at Pats - DISCUSSION

A lot of those balls were very contested…I only saw it as one clear drop and he made one ridiculous catch while getting sandwiched by two dbs. We just really needed someone to come down with one more of those 50/50 balls and pretty much struck out on tons of chances. That deep ball that hit diggs in the arm was brutal although not an easy play with the wind pushing the ball around I’m sure bass was confident in that one…the ball looked very well struck I was surprised it missed -
The Chiefs are in trouble...possibly

Lol I love how a clear patriots fan came out with some poorly researched article that claimed the patriots are like the 16th biggest cheater in the nfl and they cite it like it’s gospel 😂😂 Not saying they didn’t deserve to win but their receivers made every possible play in tight coverage all game long…had nothing to do with Tomlin being better than McD. We also kind of got screwed on that pick 6 Ben through after halftime that got overturned on a super soft holding call. Still waiting for some of these calls to even out 😂 -
Maybe I misread but I think he was more saying the system is unfair and they should test everyone and he’s being singled out. I didn’t really read that snippet as advocating people playing sick but I didn’t read the full statement if there’s more
-
Feliciano maybe? He tweeted he was in the ER He’s gonna get flamed by the powers that be for that tweet but he’s honestly right…I’m sure there’s plenty of vaxxed players not getting tested that are positive
-
He’s your classic really good player at settling in holes in zone coverage and with our offensive line being as bad as it is that hasn’t been very useful 😂
-
Ahhh ok thank you! That has been baffling me for weeks now lol
-
Does anyone know how they ‘test out’? Anyone I’ve known that has gotten it has been told they will test positive despite getting over it for several months and would need a doctors note that they are cleared to travel and whatnot. Browns are kind of in that Ryan tannehill hole…maybe the titans get it done this year but I think it’s too difficult to win a Superbowl with the current rules to have a qb that’s kind of a game manager/running game facilitator. Gotta win 4 playoff games against mostly hof level qbs who can get hot at absolutely any moment
-
I think Bourne so far…I can’t remember if dugger was on there last time or if he was injured
-
I think there’s still a point to made that he’s putting his team at a strategic disadvantage by not being vaccinated but as far as his health goes for sure. There’s probably tons of Covid positive vaccinated guys right now skating by by not being tested and playing right now…of course that is not the best thing safety wise lol I feel like the nfl kind of flubbed this one. They’re too scared to test everybody cuz they’d likely have to postpone everything. If nobody gets tested nobody can have Covid 😂
-
To ops defense a clutch 2-3 yard reception can be the most important play in a game. There should be some kind of stat revolving around that
-
Yea I think that’s alternate strains most likely but I have no idea…should be good til the new scary strain comes out but I am far from a doctor haha

Week 16: Bills at Pats - DISCUSSION

I honestly think their best chance to win with their banged up offense is to use the exact gameplan as last time and hope to break a big run again. they’re gonna lose some rushing effectiveness trying to mix up the formations to threaten the passing game. That’s probably the best way to beat us honestly you’re probably gonna break a big run with 50+ carries. I don’t trust mac against our secondary at all with their ability to disguise coverages (that’s also why people are oftentimes late to their gaps in the second level on a running play too lol) -
Not to defend his vaccine decisions but silver lining….he will be good for the playoffs and will almost assuredly not get Covid again. It’s a crazy situation where you almost want your guys getting it before the playoffs

Yea it’s a fun time to be a fan…Covid aside of course lol we are just such a pessimistic fan base after years of losing that we assume the worst 😂 the game day threads are hilarious if you spend any time in those lol if we don’t score every single possession dozens of people predict the game and season are over and you’re just like bro it’s week 1 relax hahaha -
Covid may decide who wins the AFC east

Lol it’s insane that this is actually a fantastic idea 😂 if we pull off the win in NE we are in great shape with two mediocre/bad teams left on the schedule. There’s some real danger that NE could drop another to Miami even before factoring the unpredictability of Covid in -

I mean a win this weekend and we’re 3-1 against them in the last two years…that would make their 1 win look pretty flukey too. Hard to believe anything would shut them up anyway 😂 they will become the new 2000s bills fans who will constantly talk up their team until we beat them and then repeat the process for 15 years lol I honestly think deep down they know they’re not that great of a team right now and they’re getting their jabs in while they can. Mac jones doesn’t seem like the guy that even the biggest pats homer in the world would want to hitch their wagon to. If there’s any knicks fans out there mac jones kind of reminds me of Jeremy Lin-sanity where you know he’s playing over his head but it sure is a fun time haha -

Nfl is kind of in control of what vaxxed players miss the game based on their ‘random’ tests lol I would not put it past them to ‘randomly’ avoid star vaccinated players who might have asymptomatically tested positive otherwise…they’ve gotta line their pockets after all 😂 I am not at all expecting a sweep 😂 I was always expecting us to split with them even before the first matchup. and we lose the division tiebreaker if the pats swept us in this hypothetical scenario also so we would need to be three wins ahead of them in games against teams that aren’t NE….extremely unlikely. -

Lol I feel like this is a combination of a) these reporters being too stupid to realize we play them again and likely have the division tiebreaker locked up and b) reporters trying to be funny and make a reference to the movie Step Brothers in a very unfunny way lol these people are clowns maybe our team is flawed and not very good but neither is theirs haha they’re talking like they’re back to the Brady days and they are objectively nowhere near that. Brady would’ve had this division locked up weeks ago In my opinion you have it completely backwards…you cannot just add a passing game on top of the dominant rushing attack the pats had last matchup. They were rolling with 6 offensive linemen and frequently kept tight ends in to block…that is not a formation that allows mac jones a lot of targets to throw to. They were essentially running out of a goal line formation all game long and honestly weren’t tremendously successful given the circumstances. We loaded the box and multiple players just blew the run fit on that big 75 yard run. Pats will likely mix it up more but objectively they just won’t be as effective running the football. Full credit for them doing enough to win last time but this notion that they will be able to run even more effectively because they can balance their offense more really isn’t true. They also really only have one passing target worth additional attention from the defense with all the injuries they have so I really think it’s gonna be an uphill battle for the pats in this one assuming our Covid situation doesn’t spiral -

Crazy that moving a rookie to LT was our best option last game…I can’t imagine how many times that has happened before. That game looked like it was shaping up to be really scary… I think that’s a much better win than we’re giving ourselves credit for I really thought we were gonna draft friermuth but the Steelers picked him up just before us if I recall -
Something definitely happened with McKenzie behind the scenes this year I think and we may never find out what it was. Don’t really have a choice now though if that’s the case McDermott will have to just get over it lol
