  1. Better than the chiefs super bowl playcalling 🤣 the plays were there we just didn't execute...those games happen. I'm all for judging the 4th down gadget plays that didn't work but that could come down to execution too
  2. Can someone please tell me how Ben is now broken down 🤣 I keep seeing that and there is 0 evidence of that. Is it because he lobs passes and hits receivers in stride? I do understand what a dominant run game can do for your qb but you don't understand how much the current offensive scheme is helping our qb just because he has a mediocre game every now and then. Also how high are you DL standards for a year that is cap reduced lol they took the run away all game...all season last year we gave away 5 yard runs for free
  3. Haha how can you say two teams that we've only seen play eachother look better than the bills 🤣 chiefs secondary is a huge question mark if the officiating of the super bowl continues and theyre not allowed to hold everyone lol
  4. It depends...refs have absolutely objectively blown game changing plays and admitted to it...like the end of our playoff game against the texans a few years ago and the saints playoff loss to the rams Andy Reid called the worst game I've ever seen in the super bowl last year.
  5. Every play threatens the run when the qb can run...they have to spy allen all game which frees up someone in the passing game. We just didn't execute today and everyone is rightfully frustrated but there were tons of opportunities. One thing i won't defend is the gadget plays on 4th and short
  6. A pass only offense is not necessarily one dimensional we are horribly oversimplifying this on this board lol 4-5 wr sets are tough to handle and you can line up in shotgun or the pistol and dump it off to a rb and its pretty much a running play and you also can run designed qb runs and all kinds of other things. Our offense isn't like we're dropping back to pass every play with only 3 targets on the field.
  7. Yea its kind of a semantics thing lol we wouldve won the game if we got that call but we should've won anyway but they whooped us in the second half
  8. I'm not sure today validated that everything he did was against deep zone pass coverage
  9. Pittsburghs OL wouldve done a worse job against Pittsburgh DL than the bills did haha that sentence hurt my brain
  10. That white INT being called back was absolutely game altering. Despite that we could've played decently and won still and we didn't do that lol
  11. I mean the weaknesses in the secondary could've been caused by the bad pass rush...all these units are related. Nobody is covering an NFL caliber wide receiver for 6+ seconds. I don't really agree with that second point if the defense can turn in performances like that. Today's offensive effort was like what happened in the titans game last year only our defense kept us in it
  12. Defensive line was historically awful last year and we went to the afc championship game. They looked pretty good today that is a monumental difference compared to last season. What should I be looking for in the kc/Cleveland game? I'm assuming you mean since Cleveland is winning we are worse than both Cleveland and kc?
  13. Honestly I came away with the opposite realization...our defense was horrendous last season and they looked more than competent today. Allen single handedly carried the team last season...this game wouldve been an absolute blowout last year and we had a chance up until the blocked punt. I'm assuming the passing game is a bit of rust though if Allen's last season was flukey then yea we could be in trouble
  14. I think a lot of it had to do with the opponent...I will join the crowd complaining about how pass heavy we are in the future if it continues. The only possible weakness on that pit defense is the secondary.
  15. Lol it didn't work today because we didn't execute well...its not like the running game is automatic either 🤣
  16. I think every team knows this but the pool of available OL players is shrinking every year because college guys are all playing in spread offenses. Really having a mobile qb with a good arm like allen is the best way to overcome that
  17. The problem with Pitt and an elite defense is they could easily stop the run without committing extra personnel to do so...then you're just throwing downs away if you're running for 2 ypc...cowboys were in a similar predicament against the bucs Thursday night. Offensive coordinator is not an easy job haha we left a lot of plays on the field even before getting into those odd 4th down decisions
  18. Yea gadget plays are just a disaster optics wise when they don't work...I dont think anyone would fault them for trying a qb sneak and not getting it I try not to be that guy that says that but in this game it felt the holding calls were all going one way when Pitt was holding like crazy too. We played bad though no question
  19. I mean running the ball up the middle for a one yard gain on second down is just shooting yourself in the foot too so you have to call the plays that give your team the best chance to win and with our team against the steelers that results in a lot of passes. As a fan we can criticize everything after the fact our job is easy 😁
  20. I think that was more of a no confidence in the offense thing not an overconfidence thing lol picking up a yard is tough when you don't think you can run the ball and the defense was playing well
  21. This is exactly how I felt watching the game...it was just a bad game with a lot of questionable decisions
  22. To be fair we were up 10-0 in our game haha so Clevelands soon to be 5 point lead doesn't matter much as we learned the hard way 🤣
  23. Could be overconfidence lol they'll never admit it so we'll never know for sure... but I thought we pulled out too many stops if anything 🤣 we were moving the ball fine and still trying flea flickers and half back passes and stuff on short yardage situations it was really odd
  24. Why does sloppy mean overconfident? They were definitely sloppy no doubt about that. It's the first game of the season and they were going up against a top 5 defense in the league I dont think they came out like yeaaa this is an easy win lol
  25. The team was not overconfident lol the fans were. Josh knows better than anyone how tough the steelers defense is and they added Melvin Ingram
